The Keeper of Stars

Who says you can’t rewrite the stars?

1962—Twelve years removed from the summer when she first gave her heart away, Dr. Elizabeth (Ellie) Spencer, Professor of Astronomy at Indiana University, receives a mysterious package that has her asking that very question.

Inside the unmarked box is a novel written by Ellie’s first love, Jack Bennett. It tells the story of a young man and woman who meet at the water’s edge and fall madly in love, only to have their romance cut short by forces beyond their control. Ellie quickly realizes this is no ordinary story; it’s their story. Captivated by Jack’s words, she immerses herself in the pages, reliving the adventures they shared that magical summer. To her astonishment, hidden among the tales of star-gazing and stolen kisses is a detail that has her questioning everything.

Seeking answers, Ellie turns to her sister for help, but before they can get to the bottom of the mystery, news reaches them of their aunt’s death, sending Ellie back to the water’s edge with the hopes of finding the truth and rewriting the stars.

I don’t know where to begin with this book, but I have to say it was beautiful. This book was emotional. You have love, loss, and hope. Never giving up on your dreams and knowing that what’s made for you will always come back to you. I love the characters Jack And Elizabeth and how they became each other’s first love the trials and tribulations that they gone through in their lives and how they end up at the end I highly recommend this beautiful romance you don’t need spice in this to have a five star read for me!!

3.5⭐️'s.

This was okay. I liked JB's character and how he developed throughout the novel. I thought it was cute, but definitely a little cheesy. It was a good fluff book to break up some reading.
I'm not sure if I would pick up other novels by this author, I didn't feel very connected to the story or invested in the characters.

This read was due to a recommendation from someone or somewhere but I can’t remember where. I don’t remember if I had an idea that this was a YA book. If I had, I would have passed.
The 1 star review is pretty much due to the fact this book was published. That is all I have to say.

Quick read maybe beach read. Led to lively book club discussion. But … not the best written … sophomoric … maybe romance written by a man maybe not appealing to some women.

This is such a beautiful love story, get out your tissues. Buck Turner creates such believable characters. It’s not just a romance, it’s a love story for the ages. Read this on and then A thousand distant shores, they are both back to back 5 star reads!! I love Buck Turners writing style, I highly suggest if you haven’t read him, do it!!
