Тази книга не е в моя предпочитан жанр - тъмен паранормален романс, мисля, че така го обяви авторката. Взех си го от любопитство, защото, още докато го пишеше, Алекс Крушарска ми каза "Много ще ти хареса!".
Това са твърде слаби думи за начина, по който се чувствам след края на "Призован". Обожавам я! Това е любимата ми книга за тази година, първото ми дарк фентъзи/роментъзи, а изобщо нямаше нищо, което да ме отблъсне или шокира, макар че романът е пълен с напрежение, шокиращи обрати, доста страх и доста смърт - въпреки всичко това през цялото време поглъщах страниците с въодушевление и трепет.
Никол и Гаетано сблъскват животите си по много необичаен начин - тя го е призовала като дете в ритуала на Черния жокер, който изпълнява желания при определени условия, а той се завръща 10 години по-късно, за да вземе душата й след 3 изпитания.
Няма да се впускам в сюжета, защото той е именно най-интересното и неочакваното, но ще се спра на нещо, което за мен беше чудесен авторов избор: и двамата главни Никол и Гаетано са отрицателни образи, които са изградени така, че да ги заобичаш и да им симпатизираш, без да ги осъждаш, защото разбираш мотивите и защо са такива каквито са. В крайна сметка целият им опит е нещото, което им помага в хода на играта.
Харесаха ми психологическите елементи, умерената и красиво поднесена еротика, прекрасните и дълбоки описания на душевния свят на героите и техните терзания.
Харесаха ми безбройните трансформации - илюзорни и личностни, както и всичко за любовта като най-голямата сила.
Впечатляващи и оригинални бяха всички игри и изпитания, за което поздравявам Алекс.
Страшно ми хареса изграждането на романа и липсата на локуми - нямаше нито една излишна дума или описание, всичко беше подредено с нужната сила и ефект. Обожавам този стил на писане, Алекс, знаеш го.
И накрая, помнете, че призоваването на Черния жокер не минава без же(р)тви, затова умната!

Когато прочетох първата книга на авторката искрено се зарадвах, че имаме нов, и то толкова талантлив, представител на фентъзи жанра! После прочетох новелата "Кармен" и си пожелах в бъдеще Александрина Крушарска по-често да се отдава на любимото ни роментъзи. Бях сигурна, че там ще разгърне пълния си потенциал. Е, днес най-сетне мога да кажа, че мечтата ми е факт!

Харесах всичко в книгата! Героите, които ако живеехме в grayscale world, щяха до самия финал да са в черната гама - онази отредената за злодеите. Действително обаче те притежаваха невероятна пъстрота! Характерите им бяха многопластови и дълбоки. След всяка следваща страница разкривах още едно късче от душевността им и това ме караше не просто да им симпатизирам, а истински да се вълнувам от историята им.
Магическите елементи също бяха чудесно изградени. И макар през цялото време да бяхме в нашия свят, неколкократно имах усещането, че губя границата между естественото и вълшебното. Проклятия, илюзии, магии, коварни игри с ума и наказания, които постепенно се превръщаха в уроци - имаше от всичко. А щом към изброеното се прибаваше и любовната история, която през цялото време ме държеше на нокти и сякаш пареше между страниците, разбрах, че тази книга ще е абсолютният ми фаворит.
Още нещо, което ми се струва важно да спомена. В книгата е засегната доста наболяла в последните години тема, а именно тормозът в училищата. Нещо непознато за мен, никога не съм го преживявала. И все пак, четейки спомените на Никол, можех съвсем ясно да усетя травмата, нанесена в детството ѝ. Кое я е принудило да изгради бронята си и да надене маската на безмилостен хищник. Това беше и причината впоследствие с такова удоволствие да проследявам пътя на трансформацията ѝ. Защото и тук авторката доказа, че до правилния човек и с нужната подкрепа всеки е способен да намери своето изцеление. ❤️🔥
Тази книга е обявена като самостоятелна, но аз тайничко се надявам, че в продълженията на "Болница за безсмъртни създания" все ще се намерят подходящи роли за Гаетано и Никол. Искам да ги срещна отново! А и след като вече знам на какво са способни и що за зверове крият в себе си, защо не да ги видя и като едни от победителите в предстоящата война? 😍

Много исках да я оценя с 5 звезди, като си я купих, бях убедена, че точно такава ще е оценката, НО.. Не мога да си изкривя душата. Първо, героинята беше отвратителна, постоянно се повтаряха едни и същи фрази, което ми дойде в повече и се изтърка на втория път. Дори след израстването и промяната в нея... Решението да помогне на Черния жокер не е нещо, което я направи по-добра или смела в очите ми. Второ, Гаетано не беше чак толкова многопластов, колкото ми се искаше и не мога да повярвам, че жадуващ за повече власт и мощ човек ще се промени за когото и да е, въпреки че е много романтично, разбира се. Трето, краят ми беше леко скучноват, битката беше доста плоска и наивна, малко както вълкът издухал сламената къща на прасенцата, само че цяла книга се обяснява колко всемогъща е сламената къща (визирам Маделин). В общи линии средата на книгата ми беше много по-интересна от края, което не е добре. А първите 100 страници бяха истинско мъчение - изграждането на поддържащите герои беше неприятно и диалозите често бяха нереалистични.
Като цяло съм фенка на Александрина Крушарска, взех си "Призован" на Preorder и може би очаквах твърде много, защото другата й поредица и Кармен са страхотни просто. Може и да съм прекалено критична, но ... просто не успя да ме грабне, както очаквах, колкото и да ми се искаше.

"Призован" е първата свръхестествена история от български автор, към която се осмелявам да посегна и трябва да си призная, че определено няма да е последната. Честно казано книгата надмина очакванията ми. Имаме интересни главни герои, сюжета беше оригинален и макар да нямаше изненади, стилът на писане и начина по който авторката успява да задържи вниманието ни, си заслужаваше всяка страница от началото до края. Имаме напрежение, любовна история, семейна драма, битка между силни заклети врагове, проклятие, страховити сцени и още и още елементи, които просто няма начин да не харесате!
Книгата е самостоятелна, което е още един плюс, поне за мен ☺️
Силно препоръчвам да й дадете шанс и да надникнете в свръхестествения свят на Черния Жокер!

I had the pleasure of advance reading this courtesy of Booksirens
Took me a while to get immersed in this book but once I did I couldn’t put it down. It wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be.
It’s a slow burn. The back and forth between the spoilt FMC and the 15th century Witcher MMC works really well. The last 200(ish) pages the pace is fast.
There’s plenty of hold your breath moments and OMG 😧 moments. I almost cried at one point too. This novel provokes many emotions.
It is well written providing great imagery. Complex characters who face their own inner demons.

Не се разбрах с първата поредица на авторката, но реших да й дам още един шанс с тази книга, защото анотацията ме заинтригува. За жалост пак не се получи. Главната героиня бе много дразнеща, непрекъснато повтаряше едно и също и се отнасяше с превъзходство към останалите. Въпреки това щях да дам 3 звезди на книгата, ако не бяха последните 100 страници. Главната героиня се превърна в масов убиец. Кулминационната битка накрая беше много наивна и нещо набързо претупана.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and I loved it.
The story is told from Dual points of view - Nicole, the daughter of a successful construction Baron, and Gaetano, a 500 year old Witcher also known as the Black Joker.
It starts with 10 year old Nicole and her best friend doing a ‘harmless’ summoning ritual to call the Black Joker in order to get a wish granted. It seems completely innocent… I mean, how many of us all as children tried to summon Bloody Mary of BeetleJuice in front of a mirror for a joke.
However, as the story picks back up around Nicole’s 21st birthday, we discover her innocent ‘game’ with her friend may have devastating consequences. The Black Joker is real - and if you can’t complete his tasks, your soul is his and he will harvest it.
The novel is set in modern times, which can be quite unusual for a fantasy book, however I found it refreshing and it also made imagining the settings and situations much easier and assisted the world building - it was great to see familiar things such as Uber pop up.
Despite the fact that the pair should be enemies, there is an undeniable sexual tension between them which is expertly written, and we soon realise that things are not always what they seem.
This book really explores the pressures that are placed on people from so many sides, family, society, social media, friends, and really does make you start to think; what is it that makes me truly happy? What is it I really want? What do I need to do to get it? What is the cost… and am I willing to pay it?
I finished this book satisfied not only with the outcome in relation to our main characters, but also felt like the arcs of ‘side’ characters were also really nicely rounded up, and in a way that made me feel like there were deeper lessons at play in the plot.
I would definitely recommend this book. So go read it!

A bit of a bully. But it quickly becomes clear that her past shaped her into that person—and her father certainly didn’t help. 😮💨💔
Gaetano, our Black Joker, is cursed because of his hunger for power. But Nicole throws him completely off balance. For the first time in his long, dark life, he’s conflicted—he doesn’t want to dominate her or kill her. He wants to love her… and protect her. 🖤🔥
Even though these two seem like total opposites, they share more common ground than anyone expects. Watching them slowly realize how alike they truly are—and how fiercely they’d protect each other—was one of my favorite parts. Their banter? Phenomenal. Their connection? Electric. ⚡️💬
I genuinely enjoyed this book. It had plot twists, it had spice, and it had two beautifully complicated characters learning what it means to choose each other.

This author is new to me and I will most likely give other books of hers a read. This book is about Gaetano a “witcher” who was cursed to take 300 souls before he could be free of said curse again. He is only allowed to leave the castle he lives in to the location of his “harvest” (next soul to be reaped). It is also about Nicole who was bullied as a young girl and grew into a fierce woman who has a plan for her life and no one or anything is going to stop her. She is about her title and money being her power and the path to her wants. Nicole and a friend of her Daria performed a ritual that summoned Gaetano. He can only reap a soul once his summoner has hit their 21st birthday. Nicole has finally reached that age and he has confronted her explaining she must pass 3 trials to beat him and save her soul, but the catch is no one ever has. Gaetano is immediately drawn to Nicole in a way he never has been with a harvest and he wants to “play” with her longer than others because of it. Nicole refuses to give in and let Gaetano’s antics break her, but she cannot deny there is something pulling her to Gaetano more than pushing her to get away. Time is ticking and both of these people must decide as to whether or not they continue to live behind the masks their wear or strip themselves bare to win the match that could save Nicole’s soul, or allow Gaetano to be one step closer to his freedom from this awful curse. I really enjoyed this Dark Fantasy. Nicole’s fierceness and seeing Gaetano’s softer side was enjoyable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy read. This was an ARC gifted to me but I made this review voluntarily.

When the entitled Bulgarian socialite crosses paths with an otherworldly trickster, the result is a dark and intoxicating story that blends magic, manipulation and emotional warfare.
Krusharska weaves her themes beautifully – from the sense of being trapped and bound by obligation, to the act of self growth and claiming your own destiny. These threads run seamlessly through both main characters and the world they inhabit.
The dark magic and psychological tension kept me completely intrigued. I loved how the supernatural elements meshed with the emotional manipulation – it felt sharp, deliberate and deliciously unsettling.
Gaetano caught my attention from the very beginning. Beneath his cold, harvester-like exterior, there is a depth of emotion that makes him strangely relatable. Despite his darkness, you can feel his humanity pulse just beneath the surface and my heart ached for him more than once.
Nicole took longer to warm up too. Her forceful nature occasionally felt overplayed early on but her character develops beautifully and as Gaetano fights his own demons Nicole fights to flee her own prison. Krusharska weaves her themes beautifully – from the sense of being trapped and bound by obligation, to the act of self growth and claiming your own destiny. These threads run seamlessly through both main characters and the world they inhabit.
The dark magic and psychological tension kept me completely intrigued. I loved how the supernatural elements meshed with the emotional manipulation – it felt sharp, deliberate and deliciously unsettling.
Gaetano caught my attention from the very beginning. Beneath his cold, harvester-like exterior, there is a depth of emotion that makes him strangely relatable. Despite his darkness, you can feel his humanity pulse just beneath the surface and my heart ached for him more than once.
Nicole took longer to warm up too. Her forceful nature occasionally felt overplayed early on but her character develops beautifully and as Gaetano fights his own demons Nicole fights to flee her own prison. By the end she had won me over completely, there was growth of character but the attitude that made her interesting never left.

Phantasma x Beauty and the Beast??
I was one of the lucky ones to receive Summoned as an arc through BookSirens!
Summoned is a dual POV story of a 500 year old Witcher, Gaetano aka The Black Joker, who’s tasked with obtaining 300 souls & Nicole, a construction baron’s daughter.
Beginning with a seance when Nicole was 10 years old she unknowingly signs a contract with the Black Joker. The main story continues on her 21st birthday when Gaetano comes to collect and Nicole is tasked with 3 trials to see if she’ll keep her soul. But, as Gaetano likes to say “it’s either me or them”. The sexual tension is a large plot driver in their relationship, but fun to read nonetheless.
The only parts of the story I had trouble with was the third act breakup and the end. Specifically, the 3rd act breakup centered around her seeing the “true” him for the first time, when in my opinion, she’d seen it all along.
As for the end, throughout the last 100 pages or so, the writing became more apparent where it was telling me what was happening versus showing, and that lost me a little bit.
I honestly enjoyed this book more than I thought i would. As a standalone novel, Summoned is a great romantasy if you want to read a fun book in a few sittings!

Феноменална! Имах възможността, дадена ми от автора, да прочета книгата преди нейното издаване.
Тази книга е същинско влакче на удоволствията и ужасите преплетени заедно в един танц на мрачна любов!
Истински съм впечатлена от начина на писане и изграждане на историята -
изключително интересно, без излишен пълнеж и скучна информация! Нещо съвсем типично за литературата на Александрина!
Влязох в този свят с цялото си съществуване! Исках да бъда смела, дръзка и умна като Никол, влюбена съм в мрачния, но нежен Гаетано. Напрежението и привличането между двамата се реже с нож и просто нямаш търпение най-накрая да стигнеш до кулминацията!
Най-хубавото е, че историята не е само романтика – зад нея стоят тежки въпроси за живота, изборите, миналото, детските травми и белезите, които носим и които вместо да те съсипят те правят по-силен!
Приключих книгата и имах чувството, че губя приятели, че оставям част от себе си в този свят. Точно затова знам, че ще се върна отново към нея – защото е от онези редки истории, които не просто четеш, а живееш.

Откъде да започна?
Това е първата ми dark romance книга и няма да лъжа, бях малко притеснена предвид това какви книги се пишат и продават под предтекст, че са “тъмен романс”. Реших да се доверя на авторката, защото я харесвам изключително много и не сбърках. Точно това си представях в главата ми, когато за първи път чух този жанр. Изграждане на любов в тежки условия, правене на немислимото само и само да просъществува любовта. Герои с травми и трудно минало, които макар всичко, успяват да намерят пътя си един към друг.
Обожавам начина на писане на Александрина Крушарска, изграждането ѝ на светове и герои.
Няма да си кривя душата, че Никол в началото ме дразнеше АДСКИ, но това само показва колко добре се е справила с писането.
Ще ми отнеме известно време да се отърся от историята, от много време не ми се беше случвало да чета умишлено бавно, за да не приключва книгата.
Много ми харесаха и малките препратки към “Болницата за безсмъртни създания”.
Препоръчвам с две ръце🙌🏼❤️

Besties, let me tell you... "Summoned" is the kind of dark fantasy that sinks its claws in and doesn’t let go. Nicole? Absolute powerhouse. Watching her transform from a people-pleaser to someone who owns her strength was everything. And Gaetano? Така… Хареса ми. Цялата идея за вещера, договорите, изпитанията и изобщо сюжетът е супер интригуващ. Цялата концепция за магията и връзката ѝ с реалния свят ми беше супер. Това е от онези фентъзита за почивка, които са достатъчно интригуващи, но не прекалено натоварващи със сложна магическа система и дълга история зад тях.
Но имаше моменти, в които главната героиня много ме дразнеше, особено в началото. Отдавам това на факта, че действието се развива в България. Колкото и да ми е неприятно да си го призная, това ми представляваше проблем… Ако беше американка, някак си нямаше да ми направи впечатление. Вероятно просто не мога да си представя в нашата държава да съществува подобен род „елит“ или нещо, което да го наподобява по този начин.
Та, на фона на това „трудно“ начало и „вродения“ инстинкт да „мразим“ богатите хлапета на родния бизнес… всичко останало ми беше ОК. 4,25

I just finished this book! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! When I first started reading I couldn't stand the FMC and was worried this would ruin the story but the author, Alexandrina Krusharska, did a wonderful job with the character development which I super appreciated.
"The laughter hurt more than the bruises. it would leave a lingering echo, one that would haunt me even when no one else could ever touch me again."
By the middle to end of this story I loved both MCs and my heart felt for what they were going through! The only reason this was not a 5 star for me is I would have liked to know a little more of the antagonists backstory, but either way this book was amazing!! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good slow burn, enemies to lovers fantasy!!!

Overall, the book was well-written, but I felt the story was lacking. The idea of trading your soul for a wish was interesting. And I believe it's based on a cultural fable or story. But if I have to listen to the FMC talk about how she's a predator and not prey, I may lose it. I almost DNF'd it. And maybe the vapidness of the FMC is because she's so young (21), and living at home with her wealthy yet abusive and neglectful parents. I couldn't see the FMC the way the MMC was describing her. And, the romance felt forced and inauthentic. I gave the book a 3-star rating because I think it has potential, but could be reworked. You could probably cut some of the chapters. And it's stylistically well-written, but the story needs work.

This book is about getting out of a deal with the devil (sort of). She is soul #290 of the 300 souls he needs to take before his curse is broken. I expected a lot darker themes, and more suspense than there was.
The book ended up being very poetic and self reflective. The MMC ends up showing the FMC how distorted her views of her own life were. He finds mirrors of himself in a lot of the things that come out in her during her trials. I did enjoy the read. I don’t think this is a super dark romance even with the darker themes in it. The pacing was well done and the descriptions throughout the book made everything so relatable. I wish there was more of adrenaline scary vibe to get my heart going, and some more plot twists and turns.

I never read the summary on this book so I did not know what to expect. I was drawn in from the beginning and was on the edge of my seat held captive the entire book. The dynamics between the FMC and the MMC were unmatched. I loved the banter between the two of them. Having the FMC be such a strong character was something I really enjoyed. Was she mean at times yes, but I think she needed to be. This book has everything you could want magic, romance, a strong female lead and just fun all around characters. I highly recommend this book you won't be disappointed. I could not put it down.

This book’s premise was so interesting, and I like how we had the prologue and the epilogue to really full circle this story. Having the dual POVs really let you see how the relationship from enemies to lovers came about, and I REALLY loved Nicole’s character development from people pleasing to her own person. This is definitely a book I’d recommend to someone who likes dark romance with some fantasy.

I really liked this book and could not put it down once I started. Nicole is such a fierce and strong FMC. She never backs down even when she is terrified or unsure. The chemistry and mind games between her and Gaetano were intense in the best way. I loved the dark psychological elements, the tension, and how their power struggle kept pulling me in. Въпреки всичките си съмнения, в крайна сметка реших да прочета " Призован". Имах несполучлив опит с авторката, но въпреки това дадох шанс, тук на тази книга и не сгреших.
Нещата, които ме изкушиха, за да започна да чета книгата бяха- вещер, тъмна магия и разбира се Никол, който ме познава- знае 🤣
Книгата е увлекателна, различна и в същото време някак и позната. Децата на 90-те сме викали Дама Пика, но Жокера не.. 😅
Препоръчвам на всички, които са склонни да разчупят малко рамката.

This book had a great story overall, the plot was incredible. It flowed well and was easy to follow and understand. The ending was not one I expected in any way shape or form. It definitely grabbed me and I was shocked in a good way.
There did seem to be some filler parts that didn’t feel necessary for the entirety of the story and it toon my about a quarter of the book to really get interested.

страхотна вълнуваща история. пленява се от първите страници и те държи в напрежение до края. толкова много неща се случват на толкова много нива, магия, семейни отношения, изпитания, израстване във времето на героите.
мога с увереност да заявя че това е едно от най добрите dark fantasy което съм чела. спокойно може да се нареди до най - известните заглавия в жанра!

This was a good book. Plot building and story line were easy to follow. FMC and MMC had good chemistry and slowly went from enemies to lovers. Not overly spicy. While it’s worth reading, it did not grab me the way others have.
