The next book in the heart-stealing Autumn Falls series
The Carter brothers were once inseparable – five boys, a band, and a bond that seemed unbreakable. But it’s been ten years since the band broke up and even longer since they left the family ranch and the wide-open skies of Autumn Falls. Fame, secrets and time have left cracks that no one wants to face.
Don't miss out on discovering what happens to the Carter brothers in the next books in the series…
Taylor Gray grew up watching too much TV and reading far too much romance. Now she’s a writer, she calls it research. She spends her days scribbling illegible notes in a notebook, dictating into her phone as she walks then trying to decipher the transcription, and wishing she could type as fast as her characters thought. Obsessed with the nature of relationships, working out what it is that keeps us apart and brings us together is something she’ll never get tired of. She lives in a house overtaken by plants and pictures with her husband, son and cat.
Autumn Falls is her first small town romance series featuring the Carter brothers, Jack, Logan, Brodie, Noah and Ethan. Having shot to the fame in their teens when they made up one of the hottest boybands on the planet, the series starts ten years after the band split up. Once as close as any brothers could be, they’re now little more than strangers. Broken, burnt out and dealing with the consequences of fame, it’s only when they come home to Autumn Falls and the ranch they grew up on that they can face the mistakes they’ve made – and the hearts they’ve broken…
Redemption River by Taylor Gray is a powerful, emotionally rich instalment in the Autumn Falls series and easily my favourite so far.
Although it’s the third book in the series, it works beautifully as a standalone, but as someone who’s read the first two, I couldn’t wait to dive back into this world and into the Carter family again.
From the very beginning, it feels special — even the Spotify playlist at the front of the book adds an extra layer of atmosphere, and I loved listening along as I read.
This story follows Brodie; the so-called “reckless” brother, the one with the lavish lifestyle, the fast money, and the revolving door of women.
He’s rejected his past and built a life that looks shiny on the surface, but underneath it’s clear he’s been running — from his family, his history, and himself.
When an unexpected daughter enters his life, everything shifts and his entire world is turned upside down.
Suddenly, Brodie is forced to stop running, to face responsibility, and to confront the broken parts of himself he’s worked so hard to avoid.
Taylor Gray writes male characters with such emotional honesty — her men feel real, vulnerable, flawed, and deeply human. This isn’t just a story about brothers; it’s a story about men — how deeply they feel, how broken they can be, and how powerful their healing journeys can become.
The Carter family dynamic is once again a huge strength of the novel, showing both the love and the dysfunction that shape them. Brodie and Maeve’s relationship is messy, complicated, and beautifully non-linear — their shared history constantly resurfacing as they try to navigate something new.
But this isn’t primarily a romance. At its heart, Redemption River is about identity, fatherhood, accountability, and redemption.
It’s about a prodigal son learning who he is, stepping up unexpectedly, trying to heal old wounds, and rebuilding fractured relationships — especially with his own father.
There’s drama, danger, unresolved past trauma, and emotional fallout that ripples through more than one family, but the emotional core of this book lies in the parent–child relationships.
Three scenes in particular caught me completely off guard — tender, raw, and beautifully written — and genuinely brought tears to my eyes.
The bonus chapter was the perfect finishing touch. Seeing Ethan and Piper again was intriguing, and I love how Ethan’s character continues to quietly make his presence felt even while remaining a mystery. It feels like something big is coming — and I’m so ready for his story.
Emotional, raw, and deeply character-driven, Redemption River is a story of redemption in the truest sense — not perfection, not instant healing, but growth, accountability, and choosing to become better.
A moving, beautifully written instalment of the series. I cannot wait to read the next one!

My Review: Redemption River by Taylor Gray is book #3 in The Carter Brothers series. It is scheduled for release on 2/3/26.
About the Book: "Fame, secrets and time have left cracks that no one wants to face."
In My Own Words: A prodigal son who is on the run from himself and from a dysfunctional home life learns that a ONS has resulted in an unexpected situation.
About the Characters: The Carter family is back in a big way in this novel. They present the positive and negative issues that have interrupted their family...past to present.
About the Couple: Brodie and Maeve have a very non linear relationship. Their history finds them out and they must learn to navigate in a new way.
About the Conflict: Unresolved matters from the past creep up and cause disruption for many. Several hearts are on the line and more than one family is impacted.
My Final Say: This was probably my favorite book in the series, thus far. There was an emotional tone to it that caught me off guard in three key places; it all had to do with a parent to child relationship. The scenes were so well done that they brought tears to my eyes.
While this story had a tidy conclusion of sorts, I did feel that I had to write my own ending where the primary relationship was concerned. As it was, it felt like it had a "to be continued" element to it. I did like the new beginning aspect of the key relationship that seemed to be almost irrevocably broken. I could see hope in two places where it was concerned.
The bonus was intriguing. I recall Ethan and Piper from previous content in the series. I am looking forward to reading their story. I love how Ethan's character has made himself known, even as he remains a mystery.
My Takeaway: Finding peace in the present is often connected to being able to make peace with the past.
Other: Readers who enjoy stories with family drama, slow burn tension, daddy & me connections, and revisiting a past relationship may like this novel.

Appreciation is extended to the author, to the publisher (HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter | One More Chapter), and to NetGalley. "Sometimes, it's hard to tell with you, Brodie, what's real and what's not."
Redemption River is the third book in Taylor Gray's Carter Brothers series.
For the uninitiated, the brothers grew up on Silver Sky ranch, and formed a band that skyrocketed to the top of the charts, bringing them years of fame, fortune, and for some - trouble. That's all behind them now, and we're catching up with the lads one book at a time. This one is Brodie's story.
I liked Brodie from the few times we've seen him in the other two books (which I've also reviewed), so I was looking forward to this one a lot.
Imagine my HORROR when this story appeared to be centred around a child. A CHILD. IN MY ROMANCE BOOK. 'Tis a well known hated trope of mine, I just can't stand pregnancy, babies or children in this genre (said confidently by the mother of three). BUT.
And it's a big but.
This story was SO well done. If you're going to introduce a child, this is the way to do it. Said child has been raised alone by her mother, Maeve, who's a doctor in Autumn Falls. Her daughter Zoey is 8 now - funny, that, when Brodie remembers having a one-night-stand with Maeve almost a decade ago...
It's just so heartfelt and written beautifully. Brodie's character arc was really enjoyable, and his relationship with his Dad was really touching. The character development is shockingly good, I really felt like Brodie grew so much as a person. Any conflicts made perfect sense, and nothing felt like a "gotcha". I've no problem admitting that again, I teared up a few times while reading. I always have a hard time remembering that these aren't actually real people?!
Everyone's just so likeable. This has become such a comfort series for me, and I really look forward to the next one. I feel like it's worth mentioning that this series isn't explicit, there are no spicy scenes and you really need to enjoy a slow burn - but for me, it pays off.
My kingdom for nicer covers, but I'm so glad I found this series. Thanks so much to @onemorechapterhc for the eARC via @netgalley. I love these guys❤️
Thank you Netgalley and One More Chapter for the ARC of Redemption River by Taylor Gray.
This book follows the story of Brodie. Brodie is the wreckless brother (or so it seems) who has a lavish lifestyle and burns through money and women very quickly. He has firmly rejected his former life but through the discovery of an unexpected daughter, his life is turned upside down.
Much like the first two books, this is an exploration of male emotions, issues and livez. It is a poignant look at the problems men can face and through the story we see the impact of family and particularly the father, son bond on how Brodie in particular turns out. The book is thoughtful, full of heart and full of love. It is beautiful to see a man explore in himself what he needs to become to be a father of his child but also why he is how he is. Brodie looks at his failings head on and he does not succeed right away but he learns and grows. His love story is not the true focus of this book in the way you expect, but his love for his daughter shines through.
The development, pacing, world building and honestly everything is to the quality that I have grown to expect of this author and series. I am always blown away by the heart felt meaningful story that is woven into every book of this series and I am blessed to continue in this journey.
Taylor Gray has a way of writing men that is equal parts realistic and heartfelt. This is not just a story of brothers, this is a story of men and how deeply they feel, how broken then can be and how powerful their journeys become. Love is blended into these stories, and I can honestly say this is one of my favourite series ever, and that's saying a lot!

I loved the author's writing style, I found it easy to follow and had good pacing. I loved the small town place setting and the chemistry between the main characters was steamy. Overall a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. I look forward to reading more by the author. 💝 Thank you to One More Chapter, the author, Taylor Gray and Netgalley for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the third in this series and it is just as good as the previous two instalments. It you haven't read them, I recommend reading them first, because we get to visit with Bella, Logan, Noah and Ren. It addresses some continuing issues, but could also be read as a standalone.
Why I love this book (and series): Everyone is trying to do their best. there is no nonsense issues that could be resolved if the characters just talked to each other Third person. I love third person. Growth and self reflection Well written and thoughtful Closed door.
This book and the series is easy to read and enjoyable.
thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for providing me with an digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I'd buy it if they hadn't, because I loved it.
Thanks to @netgalley the author & @harpercollinsuk for the ARC in return for my honest opinion.
This is the 3rd book in the #AutumnFalls series. I haven't read anything by this author before. It was a very easy reading romance/chick-lit book. It didn't blow me away reading it, there was some waffley bits but equally there were parts that could've been expanded upon. I didn't feel that it was a detriment not having read the first 2 books in the series, and I am glad I didn't. Zero spice though. Occasionally I did feel like the characters were getting jumbled. Overall it was an ok read, and ideal palate cleanser after some heavy reads. I probably would read more of the use books though, contrary soul that I am!
this was an interesting read. brodie was a typical jock-esque character and i couldn’t feel bad for him. he seemed to be characterised as a poor little celebrity baby that has too much money and doesn’t know what to do with it. the slow-burn romance sloowwww burned and to be honest, i think that maeve was too good for him. i did find it endearing that what felt like the ‘real’ love story was between brodie and his daughter, as father and daughter, rather than between him and maeve. this was unexpected, and atypical of books from this genre but was significantly better than what could’ve been. overall, i dont have much to say, didnt really enjoy the book but thats just personal taste
Book 3 in the Carter Brothers series was a good one. It was well written, though a little slow for my taste - even for a slow burn it felt almost too slow.
While I would have said it was my favorite of the three so far during the first half, I found the ending to be a little lack luster compared to the first two in the series. I felt that this couple had the least amount chemistry of the series, and it felt a bit more forced in the end.
I do love that Gray has made all three brothers' stories so different thus far. Despite being a little disappointed, I did still enjoy this book, and cannot wait to read Ethan's story next!!
**Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for sending this book for review. All opinions are my own.**
I was grateful to receive an ARC of Redemption River, having also read the first two books in the series. This novel is a strong and satisfying continuation, building naturally on what came before. With tropes like small-town secrets, a haunted past, and hard-won redemption, it’s easy to become invested in both the story and the characters. The weight of their shared history is ever-present, shaping the tension, the setting, and the slow, compelling uncovering of long-buried truths. 📚I was able to read an advanced copy of title thanks to NetGalley, Taylor Gray and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter | One More Chapter📚 📚All reviews and opinions are entirely my own📚
It's a story of self-realisation for Brodie, the brother who never stays in one place and seems unable to discover what he wants and who he is. Maeve gave up a lot to have her daughter, but she has no regrets until Brodie unexpectedly reappears in her life. It's a poignant tale full of family drama and retrospection. I enjoyed the character development and the authenticity of the characterisation. It's an emotional story that makes you invest in the characters. I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
This story made me cry multiple times and I'm not a big crier. I am so glad the father son bond was written the way it was, really made me think and seeing the daddy/daughter bond change everything? Beautiful. The characters were so well written and the story was perfectly paced i absolutely loved this book and hope it does as amazing as i feel it should, 5 star read.
I am new to this series. I jumped in at three, I was able to catch it up, although I am sorry I missed books one and two I will not make that mistake again. I am so curious to see where this series is going to go, I want more of the brothers, their relationships, their hometown
I thought this was a good continuation of this series. It moves fairly quickly and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I wasn’t a big fan of Brodie, I guess he was too jumpy and stuck on himself. I think he got better by the end of the book. I’m looking forward to the next one in this series.
