Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

Goldie is the half-succubus owner of the local diner in Hidden Hollow. She's been lonely for ages, so she brews up a sort of come-hither potion to draw willing mates to herself. Lucky her, the magic draws a pair of cursed werebears to her door-- Werebears with whom she has a tiny bit of history...

What follows is their effort to break the curse. Along the way, they become much more than adventuring partners.

I greatly enjoyed the fifth installment in the Hidden Hollow Series. It had everything I look for in a good paranormal romance novella: a good paranormal setting, magical beings, goddesses, smut, love spells, smut, a little bit of kink, smut, and a lust hut!

My only issue is I wanted more. It's so difficult to put any kind of Reverse Harem story in a novella and do all of the characters justice. So, we only got to see one of her heart mates for about four pages. Even so, this is loads of fun. I'm such a big fan of this series.

I really do like Evangeline Anderson's "Hidden Hollow" books. Being a New England girl myself, it sounds heavenly to live in a place where it's always peak autumn -- the fresh, crisp air, golden sunlight, and vibrantly colored leaves all around. But I do have to admit "Shared by the Werebears" was not my favorite installment of this series.

I really couldn't connect with Goldie -- some parts I really liked (her kitchen witch abilities -- i loved the idea of encouraging magic, like it was a plant or sourdough starter or something), others I didn't (her succubus half). It just felt like she needed to remind us every five seconds she was part succubus and needed a lot of sex with multiple people at once. We get it, girl, we really do. A few other things I didn't like, I felt like we couldn't really connect with her intendeds - perhaps because it was just a novella? I think this would really have benefitted from being expanded into a full length novel. The reader just doesn't get enough tension -- and I could tell Anderson wanted there to be tension and conflict.

The end was really rushed, and the big twist kind of fell flat because of that. My last criticism is really petty, I'll have to admit: the cover. It's so bad, so absurd. I get it that we can't always afford professional graphic designers and are at the mercy of what we can find in Canva or Getty Images but every time I saw that bear I had to laugh. In the end I'll still read more Evangeline Anderson, simply because I've stuck with her this far. I keep hoping I'll read something groundbreaking. We'll see.

This review is hard to write because I love EA books so much! Makes me wonder if my tolerance is getting too soft for her super spicy books. 😕

I’m not going to lie, I was getting kinda annoyed at how often Goldie told us how she was a succubus and needed tons of sex with multiple men. It’s her narrative, she wouldn’t tell herself that again and again. And remind everyone else again and again.
But quickly came the theme of this book and a smile stretched wide on my face. EA, always so damn cleaver. I can’t believe I didn’t put it together sooner.

Goldie is pretty fantastic. Shes definitely hiding a freak under her sweet exterior lol. I LOVE that she can encourage her home to grow bigger. I wish it were that amazing IRL.

Ronan for me is oddly suspicious and aggressive. Not aggressive in a good way, but in a creepy, ‘I’m gonna hurt you’ way.
The whole first interaction with the bears is just weird overall. “I don’t feel anything in here but your soft little pussy, lady.” Made me cringe.
His constant demand that everyone is out to get him made me ‘eye-roll’ again and again.
I see that Finn is to be the soft to his hard, but it detracts from the story, in my opinion.

The addition of Thorne was too much for me. The boys holding her down so the half human bear could breed her. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he was getting me pregnant.”

The ending kind of spoiled the book for me. 🫤

Shared by the Werebears by Evangeline Anderson is Book 5 of the Hidden Hollows series. Although it is shorter than the previous four, it contains all the elements of the others: steam, angst, adventure, a curse to be cured, and more steam.
Basically it is a retelling of the old folktale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I grew up loving folktales, but this version is definitely not for children. Names have been changed and no one is innocent.
I read this book in one sitting, so caught up in the story that I completely forgot the folktale and just got caught up in the plot. The characters are unique. What else would you call a leading lady who is half kitchen witch and half succubus? Or a beautiful villain who has put a curse on the heroes? Don’t be surprised by what happens next and don’t forget all that steam!

My Review
Goldie & her two irresistible, muscular Werebears—Finn and Roan—absolutely stole the show! This novella was such a treat to dive into. Evangeline Anderson exceeded my expectations once again, delivering a story packed with adventure, steam, and emotional depth.

The chemistry between the characters was pure magic, and the mix of romance, danger, and a well-earned HEA gave me everything I love in a shifter romance. I couldn’t put it down, and now I’m already excited for whatever she writes next!

Shared by the Werebears is kinda of a paranormal retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears but make no mistake, this version is strictly for grown-ups. Our heroine is half kitchen witch, half succubus (how’s that for original?), and she finds herself caught between two rugged, cursed werebears, each with their own unique charm and heat level.

This book is adventurous, and delightfully naughty in all the right ways. If you're a fan of fairy tale retellings with an adult twist, or you just love paranormal romance that balances playful heat with heart, Shared by the Werebears is a must read.

This review is 100% voluntary just one excited fangirl who couldn’t put the book down!

Ok so let's just start with how incredibly great this series is. I want to go to this town. Not to find a mate or mates...I have one but to meet these ladies and watch the magic happen.
Also, this was a super-hot story with great characters.
Ronan is very hot but is a bit cautious and grumpy, but I understood it was due to what he'd always been told. Finn is hottie too, but he knows a great thing when he finds it in Goldie.
I was wondering about Thorne and hoped he'd be helped too.
Not going to say how everything plays out. The reader deserves to read about it.
Great characters and plot.
Highly recommend.

Whenever I read this series I know I'm in for a laugh with corny behaviour.
Goldie is half-Succubus meaning she needs her cravings filled.
With a little help she brews a love tea which happens to summon two werebears to her door.
They are under a curse and it seems they can all help each other.
This is a magical goldielocks and the three bears. Where is the third bear, you'll have to stay tuned til the ending.
This story was one naughty adventure, filled with other magical creatures, a dangerous forest and so much more.
I loved it.

Really liked it

I was invested in the book from start to finish; an indication that I would definitely enjoy the time. Despite being a novella there was a complete story with development of the characters and no abrupt ending. Minimal editing errors, also a definite plus, especially these days when I wonder what has happened to even rudimentary spell check. A good addition to the series.

Shared by the Werebears is a wonderfully magical Fairytale esque story that is a deliciously reimagined version of a fun childhood fable.
Goldie runs a diner in Hidden Hollow who is in search of a fulfilling happily ever after without having to venture too far away from home.
Finn and Roan are fighting against a curse that is slowly overwhelming them.
Can the three of them work together to find what they need before all is lost forever?
Wonderfully done!

I really enjoyed the latest book in the Hidden Hollow Series. Goldie and her werebears keeps you on your toes. Will she find the companionship she craves to satisfy her succubus side? This story is just the right length to keep you engaged and there might be a little twist at the end. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

This story is so entertaining! You are gonna love it! It is the best twist I’ve ever read on Goldilocks and the three bears. Our main characters, Finn Ronan, and Goldie are as captivating and entertaining as the storyline. I would highly recommend this book for anyone over the age of 18 years old.
