I didn’t steal her money. I just refused to give it back.
I built my empire on controL. My fists in the ring. My brothers at my back. And my rules that keep the vultures from circling.
Then, Violet Reeves demands I return the money her father handed over after losing a bet.
Trouble is, I’m not running a charity, so I tell her no... And gain an enemy in the process. All it takes is one exception and my business fails.
However, the last thing I expect is to see Violet participate in an underground tournament in hopes of earning back her money.
And the more she inserts herself into my world, the more I want to keep her here.
Even if she hates me for it.
Add in the new contender whose sights are set on Violet and my business?
Yeah, we have a problem.
Here’s the thing. I can handle my enemies, but when they want Violet? The one woman who hates me and can bring me to my knees?
It could ruin me and everything my brothers and I have built on this campus. All I know is this. If Violet’s going to fall, it won’t be without me dragging the monsters down first.
Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
(ARC Review) What a great start to the new series! There is a little enemies to lovers vibe going on mixed with who did this to you and he fell first! Jagger is the perfect amount of bad boy with a mushy core.
Violet is looking for a fresh start, and from the wrong side of the tracks.
I still hate daddy Reeves!
I absolutely loved their love story and the character development! I also loved their little Easter eggs that were dropped from previous series. I cannot wait to see what June and Ford have in store for us, I am already loving their dynamic!
5⭐️ ARC Review : Violet and Jagger are my absolute babies and i will accept zero criticism on their story, i love them so much!!! Think Boys of tommen mixed with the dark lanes series but make it unique, yeah that pretty much sums up this story!! I knew from the first few chapters that this was going to be a 5 star read for me, the writing gripped me instantly and i fell in love with the characters so quickly that all i wanted to do was read constantly. I love Violet so much she is such a strong FMC and whilst shes been through hell and back she still doesn’t take sh*t from anyone and it’s so admirable, and Jagger Harden oh. My. God. That man is every girls dream, he’s stupidly hot, he’s a fighter, stupidly rich, gives off i hate everyone vibes but deep down is the most loving loyal guy you will meet!! Tell me that is not perfection! I adore the found family in this and how we get to see a glimpse into Jaggers brothers’s lives and Violets friends lives as a teaser for there books to come. I must say im very exited for Ford & June’s book theres something about them that has me so intrigued and i do just love Ford i think he’s absolutely hilarious. The way Kelsie added in the deeper background topics into this gave the book so much more depth and made you have that much more of an emotional connection to the characters it was insane. I do need to go back and read Oliver & Dylans story because after seeing what we have of them i need to know more!!!
ARC Review: Kelsie did it again! I love the way she tells a story and this was no different. It was a different town and branched out of her usual hockey romance genre, but it still had that her usual dynamics with her characters. I can't tell you how excited I was that our FMC was a REEVES! Being that Oliver is one of my favorite Kelsie MMCs I was so excited to see a familiar name. Even though the family connection was not known to the characters until the end, I just ate up the little easter egg! Also can we talk about Jagger? We love a big strong broody man that just absolutely melts for our FMC and that his this Harden brother to the core. Without the hockey team relationships in this book, I enjoyed having the brothers to fill that "friendship void" for the MMC. I can't wait to see where the story goes with Gus, and I cannot wait to read about he rest of the brothers coming up next!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
where should I start? Itssss soo good. I love the new city in Harden Heights, and the drift! Love Violet and Jagger and how we get introduced to them and the rest of the Harden brothers. The tension and the slow burn so hotttt. And the Harden night🔥don’t get me started, how I love them♥️
What an amazing start in a new series. All I want is to devourer the rest of the series!
I must say right now Ford and Roman is my favorite characters. I’m simping hard for Fordddd♥️ I can’t wait to see their story unfold
I don’t know what to say about this book except it’s put me in a slump already.
Kelsie, ma’am, how do you write these characters the way you do?!? Making us fall in love and making us wait for the next book.
You have Jagger who’s the oldest Harden brother. He’s protective to a fault and doesn’t care what others think. Until his little thief comes along. He becomes a big softie for her, yet you come near her?? ☠️
First off, I’m so excited that a new Kelsie Rae series is kicking off!
GAME NIGHT IS BACKKKKKKKKK & more intense than ever.
Jag likes to act like he’s a tough guy from Harden Heights, but he’s a softie for his girl, Violet! He literally protects her at every turn. This book starts off as enemies but quickly turn into more.
Violet, although a tiny thing, is in her man’s corner 100% of the time. She keeps him calm, cool and collected. She is his peace. Swoon.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Hurt/comfort Enemies to lovers Rich/poor Touch her & die
Jagger and Violet had me hooked from the start! The entire time reading, I couldn’t put it down but also didn’t want it to end! Learning about Violet and Jagger was fun. Violet is so stubborn and Jagger will do anything for her! Overall a great story! I’m definitely excited to read the rest of the series! The second epilogue had me in tears!!
Kelsie Rae does it again. This woman cannot disappoint me. If anything she’s setting up my husband for failure because he doesn’t kiss my bruises better. It can always be nerve wracking for an author to dive in to a new series and creating new characters, but she did such an incredible job still tying in the little things character while also making this new city its own. I cannot wait to get the rest of this series over the next year and keep reading about the Harden siblings 🩵
Ok, so this book gets all the stars! I absolutely love Kelsie's writing style and enjoy reading her books.
So I first want to make a comment. You will want to check your triggers! At the time of reading this book, there was not a list of triggers created yet. There is mention of child abuse off page (not really details but enough to know what may or may not have happened). Since a character is over the age of 18, it then goes into DV realm. Kelsie did a great job with making a couple scenes but not going over the "basic" needs for these certain scenes to build the story.
Now onto my thoughts of the book. If I didn't have adulting things that needed completed, I would have finished this book in 1 day. Also I ended up staying up until 1:30 am to finish reading this book because I was struggling to put it down. I have to say that I think this is my favorite Kelsie Rae book yet! And I have loved everything I have read and recommend it all the time but now this will be at the top of the list! It's soooooooooo good.
Ok, so we have Jagger and Violet as our main people. Of course with typical books in these series, we have to set it up for future books and at the end, I am happy to see that I was correct with what the future books are going to be (character wise). The story building in this book leaves it open to so much more to be added to make this series one of my favorites. And that is saying something since Don't Let has been my favorite (even with A Little Complicated having me bawling and having all the feels). I am super excited to see where this series goes.
Ok, so now for my "limited" review of the story because I don't want to add spoilers. Which is going to be hard to add much. BUT here we go! So we start off learning more about our "privileged" boys, Jagger, Ford, and Hawke and then Jagger's bestie Roman. There is a mysterious sister (who we will learn more about). Now we have our MFC Violet. Her family is a special kind of special. I will say that. There is a lot of generational issues to say the least. Ok, so let's talk about the game! Oh the Harden games are absolutely amazing! Something new and kept me on my toes. We have a couple Uncles that play a role in story. It's kinda like a Romeo and Juliet style or West Side Story, we have the elites and we have the "not so elites". I will leave that there. There is more between the rivalry but it doesn't go into it much but I have a feeling that it plays a major role in upcoming books in the series. And I'm here for it! Of course in Kelsie Rae fashion, there is a HEA and a slow burn. YES, she loves to have the slow burn..... And some of the spicy scenes were spicy nice! There are a couple side characters (good and bad) that I am excited to see how the books portray them in this series.
In conclusion, just trust me, if you like any of Kelsie Rae's books, you will LOVE this one. It is by far my favorite. The action, the backstabbing, the unknown parts of parents pasts..... I need to know and now I'm still crashing wanting the next book and this one hasn't even gone live yet. I am kicking myself because I devoured this book when I should have savored it and took it slow. OH I forgot to add that the one brother has a comic expression that everything is as serious as ED..... This had me cracking up way too much.
Thank you to Kelsie Rae for allowing me to work with you on reading an early copy of this book! I need more of this series and will own all of them to add to my collection.
One thing I really value when reviewing ARCs is knowing I can be completely honest and open about my thoughts, no matter the rating. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to receive these early copies, and for me that always comes with giving a genuine, balanced review.
This was my second ARC from Kelsie Rae, and I’m so eternally grateful to be someone who gets that opportunity. It felt amazing to be back in this universe, even with a different setting and new characters, it still had that familiar pull that made it so easy to fall into.
I really enjoyed the different pace this book offers. It leans more into a hate-to-love romance (I wouldn’t quite say enemies-to-lovers), with that instant connection woven in. There’s no miscommunication trope here, just two people who are very aware of what they want, which made their dynamic feel direct and intentional.
Jagger was everything I expected him to be: hard, intimidating, and closed-off on the outside, but with that soft, gooey centre underneath. Those moments where his walls slipped were some of my favourites. He brought a kind of love we didn’t even realise we needed as readers but especially for Violet. And Violet matched him well; she didn’t shy away from his intensity, which made their connection feel strong and inevitable.
There were definitely moments where my jaw dropped, and I even had a few happy tears. Emotionally, the book does hit—especially in those softer or more surprising scenes.
I also loved how this book sets up the rest of the series. The side characters already feel important and intriguing. I both adored and hated Ford with equal passion, which says a lot about how well he’s written. Hawke is still such a mystery, and Roman… I won’t give anything away, but let’s just say it hints at one of my favourite tropes, and I am absolutely manifesting his story next.
That being said, it wouldn’t be a true ARC review without some honest criticism. I do think it’s hard not to compare this to previous books especially when the bar has been set so high.
In Ruin Me, the main thing that didn’t fully land for me was the pacing of the romance. It felt a little too quick. One moment Jagger and Violet are at odds (even though we can clearly see the obsession building, especially from Jagger), and then suddenly it shifts. I just wish we had more of that slow build—the tension, the hesitation, the deeper emotional development before everything fully fell into place.
It also felt like the story was building toward higher stakes that didn’t quite hit the mark in this book. However, I can definitely see how the overarching plot is being set up to continue into book two, which makes me even more curious to see how everything develops moving forward.
However, despite the criticism I’m completely obsessed with all of these characters and cannot wait to learn more and see them interact in future books.
I’m coming back to write a full review but I’m obsessed. It’s hard to not fully love Kelsie’s books. She hits the marks every single time. Jagger and Violet are tied at the top with three other favorite couples who all happen to be written by the lovely Kelsie Rae as well. Don’t skip this one, it’s so good.
—————— Full Review:
When it comes to Kelsie Rae, I always know I’m going to love her books. Her writing has a way of sucking me in so quickly and making me fall in love with the characters. This book was no exception and Jagger is within my top 5 book boyfriends ever.
Jagger and Violets dynamic might be my favorite ever which is hard to say because Mia and Henry (Don’t Let Me series) and Dylan and Reeves (Little Things series) have such a strong dynamic that I never thought another couple would be up with them but Kelsie knows how to make a beautiful couple with hard walls shatter and come together naturally and make you fall in love with them. The push and pull, the risky situations and moves, the way they show up for each other and defend each other – it’s everything. I love this book so so much. The only complaint I have is that it ended, I needed more Jag Off, more fight nights, more game nights, more Lexi and Violet, more of Jagger teaching Violet to fight, more of the second epilogue (iykyk), more EVERYTHING! This book could’ve been 700 pages long and still not been enough!!
The tension between Jagger and Violet is quite literally so tense they don’t even need a match to start a fire and I mean this in the best way possible. This slow burn, hate to love, MMA books was absolutely top tier. The nickname “Little Thief” is adorable. Jagger is very protective of his family and their reputation they uphold, but in walks Violet demanding she gets her money back and he starts to think that maybe letting someone in might not be the worst thing ever, especially when it comes in such a pretty package.
Starting off with the dedication – 10/10 “For those who don’t want to have to choose between having their hearts stolen and their panties ruined…here’s to having both.” And boy was she right.
There are SO MANY memorable and amazing moments in this book that this review could be a five page essay and still not be enough. I love a possessive MMC with a soft side for his girl but even more an MMC that makes the FMC better and stronger. Jagger doesn’t miss anything about Violet, down to what makes her happy and how little she eats and he takes care of her in every way he can, even when she doesn’t know it.
If you love a good “who did this to you?” scene you’re gonna love this one and the way he makes her better. The spice in this book is so good and well worth the wait to get there!
Some of my favorite moments from this book: The game night scene “Who did this to you?” The bathroom scene The classroom scene ;) “Count on my little thief to steal my heart along with my logic”. Also I absolutely love Judge and need his book asap!! I can’t wait to read the rest of this series and get Roman, Hawke, Ford, and Cobies books!!
This is my second ARC read from Kelsie Rae, and I am fully convinced she just keeps getting better.
Ruin Me is Violet and Jagger’s story, and honestly? It was amazing. What immediately hooked me was the setting we’re stepping away from the hockey-world romances and dropping into this darker, underground gambling ring, and it works. It works so well. The grit, the edge, the atmosphere it gave the whole story this electric tension that I didn’t know I needed.
Violet is a Cinderella story done right. She comes from a lower-income, abusive household, and watching her grow into this sharp, witty, beautiful woman who absolutely unravels Jagger at every turn? Chef’s kiss. Their banter is everything. Jagger is the kind of closed-off, jaded hero who you know is going to crack eventually and when he does, it hits hard. A train of thought that kept playing in my head: “I would break every rule I’ve ever made and give up everything I’ve worked for just to keep her.”
I mean. Come on.
Jagger honestly reminded me a lot of Oliver from A Little Bit Tempting that same layered, reluctant softness underneath all the walls. Which made it even more satisfying when I realized Oliver is Violet’s brother. The way this universe stays interconnected without feeling forced is one of Kelsie Rae’s genuine superpowers. Judge coming back as their uncle and getting those nods all the way back to the original stories made this feel incredibly complete like a full circle moment for long-time readers.
A few things I loved specifically about this one compared to earlier books: it’s a true standalone that still honors the collective world we’ve been following across two series. The tone is darker and more unapologetically vulgar, and I loved every second of it. None of these men are clean-cut golden boys, and that’s exactly the point. They’re messy and complicated and so much more interesting for it.
I am barely keeping it together knowing Hawk and Lexi’s story is coming. I’m not dramatic, you’re dramatic. There’s also a brother’s best friend romance quietly brewing in the background that I am already emotionally invested in, and I cannot wait to see the final hijacked epilogue especially wondering whose perspective it’ll be written from.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
There’s something completely addictive about a story that grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go and Ruin Me did exactly that. From the very first page, I was pulled into a gritty, high-stakes world where power is everything, loyalty is earned, and love is the most dangerous gamble of all.
Kelsie Rae absolutely delivers with this one. The tension between Violet and our morally gray, control-obsessed MMC, Jagger, is electric, sharp, messy, and full of that delicious push-and-pull that keeps you turning pages way past bedtime. Violet isn’t just some damsel chasing after what she lost. She’s fierce, determined, and willing to step into a brutal underground world to take back what’s hers. Watching her stand her ground in a space built to break people? Obsessed.
And Jagger? The way he tries to maintain control while slowly unraveling because of Violet was everything. He’s ruthless, calculated, and completely unprepared for the one woman who refuses to play by his rules. The emotional tension layered on top of the physical stakes made every interaction feel intense and meaningful.
What I loved most, though, was how this book continues to expand the interconnected world between Lockwood Heights and Harden Heights. Even though we didn’t get a ton of page time with some of our previous favorites, you can feel the threads being woven for what’s coming next, and I am so ready for it. It adds depth without taking away from Violet and her story, which still stands strong on its own.
The underground fight scene element brought a raw, almost dangerous edge to the romance, raising the stakes in a way that made everything feel more urgent. Add in the looming threat of new enemies and the constant tension surrounding Violet’s safety, and this book becomes nearly impossible to put down.
This story is intense, emotional, and packed with just the right amount of angst, heat, and danger. If you love strong heroines, morally gray heroes, and romance that feels like a war waiting to happen, Ruin Me is a must-read.
And if this is just the beginning of what’s coming in the next three books? Yeah… I’m already ruined.
Ruin Me is the first of the Harden Heights Series. This is also a continuation of several other series from Kelsie starting with Wrecked Roommates, Don’t Let me and then Little Things. While you don’t need to read the others to enjoy this book, (Seriously, you can start here, but once you read this you’ll want to read more of her work!) There are characters who you just understand better and enjoy having a little more of their back story.
They started as enemies and then somewhere along the way she went to him for safety and he can’t stop taking care of her in so many ways she doesn’t even know. This is an enemies to lovers story with some great tropes and microtropes that help build this tension and love story. She’s the girl from the wrong side of the tracks who just wants the money back her father stole from her to pay off his gambling debts. She needed the money to help pay for student housing, and now she is stuck having to share her house her mother left her with her sperm donor. He’s the privileged guy that runs the gambling scene that took the money. The initial interaction- a disaster for everyone. It doesn’t get better for Violet when on the first day of her Econ class she realizes he is the TA and she’ll have to deal with him for the remainder of the semester. He finds himself wanting to help her in more ways than he is willing to admit and she even knows about. How can he do it without giving into the one rule he and his brothers have- All Bets are Final? While this book has some great tropes Hate to Love Billionaire vs struggling FMC Opposites Attract Touch her and Die Hurt/ Comfort There are so many great microtropes that add to this great story Nicknames Wearing his clothing Him nurturing her Who did this to you Taking care of injuries Pulling one out of a dark space and back to being present Found family
I went into Ruin Me expecting a fun, emotional ride—and Kelsie Rae absolutely delivered. This story pulled me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go. The tension? Immaculate. The chemistry? Off-the-charts. And the emotional depth? Way more than I was prepared for in the best possible way.
What really stood out to me was how effortlessly the relationship unfolded. Nothing felt forced or overdone—just this perfectly paced push and pull that kept me completely invested. The dynamic between the Jagger and Violet had that addictive mix of vulnerability and intensity that makes you feel everything right alongside them. I was rooting for them hard. And can we talk about the chemistry of the supporting characters? One word: yearn!
One of my favorite elements, though, was how seamlessly Kelsie wove in characters from her previous series. It felt like such a treat seeing familiar faces pop up in a way that actually added depth to the story instead of distracting from it. It made the world feel bigger, more connected, and honestly just more special as a reader. You can tell she’s building something long-term here, and it has me so excited for where this series is headed next. Game nights are so back, baby!
Kelsie has this way of creating an atmosphere that makes every moment hit stronger. Whether it was the quiet, softer scenes or the ones packed with angst and tension, I was fully locked in. It’s one of those books where you keep saying “just one more chapter”… and suddenly it’s 2am.
If you love a romance that balances emotional weight with undeniable chemistry—and leaves you thinking about it long after you finish—this one is absolutely worth picking up. As an ARC read, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations.
Ruin Me - Kelsie Rae . Violet Reeves - the poor girl with serious trauma from the drift. Who loves peanut butter and Disney movies, and didn’t think she was worthy of being loved. . Jagger Harden - the rich asshole from Harden Heights. Who loves his siblings, Roman, and fighting. Who’s never committed to anyone and has an asshole father. . In this enemies to lovers contemporary romance by Kelsie Rae, two people from completely different worlds find their way into each other’s lives when Violet’s father steals her life savings and loses it all in a bet. Jagger Harden and his brothers, along with his best friend Roman, are the princes of Harden Heights. Taking bets and stealing hearts. When Jagger catches Violet trying to steal back her money the pair wind up in a dance of lust and hatred. Will their love overcome the challenges they face, or are their extreme background differences too much for them to navigate? . Okay so this has quickly become my all time favorite book! Kelsie is an incredible writer and really has a way at pulling on people’s heartstrings! Violet’s story is relatable and heart wrenching and Jagger is the most lovable not-so-much-of-an-asshole mmc! I could not put this book down and I love how she set up the rest of the series. . FAVORITE QUOTES: ✨ "You really think I'm going to let you go, Violet?"✨ ✨ "And tonight's different?" I ask with a laugh. "Tonight, I can still taste you on my tongue."✨ ✨ "What I feel for you?" He shrugs. "Yeah. It feels as easy as breathing. It's the other shit that gets hard."✨ . Thank you Kelsie for the opportunity to read an ARC copy of Ruin Me and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
We are not in Lockwood Heights anymore. Welcome to the grittier world of Harden Heights! Where the stakes are high and all have a chance to play!!
We were introduced to Harden Heights in A Little Broken, book five of The Little Things Series. That was just scratching the surface. This world is so much more than I expected, and I am obsessed!!
Violet Reeves is full of fight and sass. She is from The Drift, and is trying to get out and make a better life for herself. She is a hard worker and determined to make her own way. She has her own principles and she sticks to them. One to blend in until she confronts the Harden brothers about getting her money back that her father stole.
Jagger Harden is the oldest Harden brother, and known as the crowned prince of Harden Heights. Jagger and his brothers run an underground betting ring where people from The Drift and Harden Heights are treated equally. They usually are the ones to make the rules and everyone wants to play the game, until Jagger met Violet.
This story starts with the tension high between Violet and Jagger. She hates him, and he is infatuated with her. He wants, needs to know everything about her. Jagger acts like a tough guy, but he has a big heart. He becomes instantly protective of Violet, SWOON! Definitely impulsive when it comes to her. He is loyal to a fault! This man falls first, and I love the moments where we get to see his sweeter side. Violet is tiny and underestimated not just by her size but because of where she’s from. One thing for sure, she is in Jagger’s corner. Let me tell you, she can put someone in their place when it comes to Jagger. I want her in my corner. As much as Jagger is Violet’s protector, Violet is Jagger’s calm. They are each other’s home.
With every Kelsie Rae story, these characters have strong backstories that pull you in emotionally. I’m always on the edge of my seat in those moments. THE EPILOGUE, no words just tears! The ongoings of the Drift are somewhat known, but Harden Heights has its secrets. We have just scratched the surface, and there were plenty of Easter eggs to set up the rest of the series.
Since Kelsie already unveiled all the MCs of the Harden Heights series, you will get to meet everyone in Ruin Me. I’ve already started jotting down theories and can’t wait to see where Kelsie takes us. Ruin Me has set up what is to be an amazing series full of high stakes, mystery, hurt, comfort, banter, and found family. I can’t recommend Kelsie’s books enough!
Thank you, Kelsie Rae, for this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions, and a review.
💙Hate to Love 🥊Hurt/ Comfort 💙Billionaire Heir x Struggling Heroine 🥊MMA Fighter MMC 💙Opposites Attract 🥊High Stakes 💙Touch Her and 💀 🥊Dual POV
Ruin Me is the first book in the brand new series Harden Heights from author Kelsie Rae. You may also see some continuation from Wrecked Roomates and some crossover characters from a little tempting from the Little things series. But you don’t need to read those to enjoy this book.
Jagger Harden, our MMC is a powerful fighter and he is currently running an underground fighting business along with his brothers. He doesn’t thrive on chaos and needs to stay in control. Violet Reeves, is a woman who wants her money back after her father stole it to pay his lost bet.
Violet Reeves, is a woman from the wrong side of the tracks. She’s determined to get out and survive. She’s strong and independent and is working to put herself through school and away from her abusive sperm donor. She’s sick of bailing her dad out of his situations.
I loved the overall dynamic and intensity of a relationship that developed between Jagger and Violet. Their relationship begins with anger, a true enemies to lovers vibe, but slowly shifts.Their relationship gradually moves into the mutual attraction as they interact in each other’s worlds and Jagger becomes protective and caring towards her, even when it threatens his world.
Overall this was a great start to a new series that i enjoyed Now i did find it a bit long for my taste but overall a great start to the Harden Heights series.
Miss Ma’am! First of all, thank you so much for letting me ARC read this. I’m always excited to get the chance to read your books early, but this one? This one completely pulled me in from the start and did not let go.
Secondly… holy crap. I absolutely loved Jagger and Violet. Their chemistry jumped off the page right away, and every scene with them had that perfect mix of tension, emotion, and heat that makes it impossible to stop reading. The way their relationship builds felt natural but intense at the same time, and I found myself completely invested in every moment between them.
Jagger especially stole the show for me. I love a protective, slightly unhinged MMC, and the way he would burn the world down for Violet? Perfection. You can feel how much he cares about her in every interaction, even when he’s trying to hold back. That kind of devotion always gets me, and Jagger delivered it in the best way possible.
And the Harden brothers as a whole? I already love them, but so far Jagger is definitely my favorite. He has that mix of strength, loyalty, and just enough chaos to make him unforgettable. If this is what we’re getting in the first book, I can only imagine how good the rest of the series is going to be.
Honestly, the fact that this is only the beginning makes me even more excited. I’m already hooked, line and sinker, and I know I’m going to need the rest of these books as soon as possible. This was such a strong start to the series, and I cannot wait to see what comes next
4.5⭐️ Kelsie Rae’s first book in a new series! Welcome to Harden Heights. This series will follow each of the Harden siblings romance stories, as well as their kind of shady business dealings.
I loved our main characters Jagger and Violet. One main trope in this book was hate to love, though I would say the hate was more from Violets side, while Jagger was more intrigued by her.
He’s the rich, bad boy and she’s the girl from the wrong side of the tracks trying to achieve a better life. The one thing I love about the rich, powerful guy with the not well off girl is when he uses his powers over the town to protect her and this book did that to a tee! They were both so protective and considerate of each other. They were just adorable.
When I first saw this book was over 500 pages I was like ‘great is this going to drag on😐’ but honestly, I don’t think it did! Kelsie Rae always has a way of entertaining the reader to make them one, not want to put down the book and two, not realize when they’ve already flown through half the book.
On another note, this was definitely darker than her Don’t Let Me & Little Things series. Not in the sense of the romance, but the side plots. They had these nights called ‘Harden Nights’ that reminded me of the game nights in the little things series except with WAY crazier ‘games’ and much higher stakes. I did not really like the one scene of a Harden Night, I was thinking why would they set up something that crazy, but that could just be me (I can be quite a scaredy cat)
Kelsie Rae never disappoints and I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
❤️🔥hate to love 🥊mma fighter mmc 💵rich mmc x struggling fmc 🩹hurt/comfort, who did this to you? 🧩crazy game nights aka Harden Nights
This book was a roller coaster. This book is so amazing though and will have you on the edge of your seats. The tension is high and I loved that we are diving into a different world, where the morals are mostly questionable. And boy am I excited to just keep diving into with the next books in the series.
My heart is so full with love for Violet. She didn’t win the parent lottery but she does the best she can with what she has. My heart broke for having to see what she goes through but I’m so happy she gets everything she deserves for her life with Jagger. I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two from the first few chapters right to the two epilogues. I also love how sassy she is and she isn’t afraid to give as good as she gets.
Jagger is just a sweetie under his tough persona especially when it comes to his Violet. I love a man who knows what he wants and Jagger does that that. He’s intrigued by Violet and for some reason she finds a way to do the impossible and makes her way under his skin until all he wants to do is help her out and snuggle! I loved how protective he is with his brothers and vice versa. I loved seeing their dynamics and cannot wait for more.
This book was just amazing from start to finish. With the high tensions anything can happen. We get to see some characters from the Little Me Series and hear about others from the series as well. There are a few surprises that will leaving you gasping. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
✨️ ARC Review ✨️ – Ruin Me by Kelsie Rae ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Violet and Jagger are 🔥🔥🔥
I have been so excited for this book ever since finishing the last series, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I loved all the little mentions and cameos from our Lockwood Heights crew, it just made the world feel even more connected.
Violet comes from the Drift, raised in hardship and constantly struggling financially, while Jagger is her complete opposite, one of the Harden Heights Princes, with more money and power than she could ever imagine. But their spark? Immediate. Intense. Unstoppable.
Watching Jagger slowly break his own rules for her, doing things he would never do for anyone else, was everything.
And the drama… there is SO much of it, I don’t even know where to start. The tough, untouchable bad boy becoming vulnerable just for her, his growing infatuation, the risks he takes, and the way Violet still turns up at his door when she has nowhere else to go, even knowing he is an ass… it all just works.
I also loved the relationships around them...his brothers accepting her and building their own bonds with her, and her friendship group constantly backing her. That found family/support system element really added to the story.
I cannot wait for Hawke and Ford’s stories. I have a feeling I can see where things are headed, and if I’m right… I am SO ready to see how it all unfolds.
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I hated getting pulled away from it. I just wanted to sit and finish it in one sitting. Wait, I did do that! Ha.
Honestly this book was way different than I thought it was going to be. The cover totally deceived what is inside this book! I was expecting this to be lighter and fluffier than what I got. But what I got, I loved. It was slightly dark and I am here for it!
One thing that I love is a protective man and Jagger is just that. While he knows he should stay away from her, he can’t. There isn’t much Jagger seems to fear, and Violet isn’t one of those things. Then getting to watch him slowly fall for here, LOVE!
When I tell you that Violet can hold her own. That girl is strong. She hasn’t had an option to be anything but that. She even lets Jagger in. Even when she wasn’t sure about it.
This book truly set up the Harden brother so well! I can’t wait for June and Ford next.
What to expect: ❤️🔥 Hate to Love ❤️🩹 Hurt/ Comfort ✨ Billionaire Heir x Struggling Heroine 🥊 MMA Fighter MMC 🪞 Opposites Attract 🎲 High Stakes 🖤 Touch Her and ☠️
I cannot thank you enough Kelsie for this book! I am so excited to read the rest of this series! I am going to go listen to this book to enjoy the narrator’s now!
I really didn't know how much I would love this book until I started it. But I really should have known better since it is from Kelsie Rae! The woman is crafty with her stories that keep me captivated on ever word. I loved this hate to love, opposites attract, with high stakes and an MMA Fighter MMC. You also get a struggling heroine and all the vibes of touch her and....
Jagger is one of my favorite characters I have read. I fell so hard for this man! The way this man can control a room with one look is something else. The way he is loyal to the ones her loves, which is few is another level. But the way he takes care of Violet is the absolute swooniest thing I have read. Violet is struggling and she is so stubborn and does not want to take help from anyone. One of the best parts of her, is her tenacity and the way she goes for it. She has the strength and drive to make things happen.
Because of Violet's tenacity, she makes the perfect match for Jagger. I loved these two together and for so many reasons. The main one being is that she calms him and grounds him when he needs it. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and bled in every word.
I am so happy we are getting the Harden boy's story!!! I can already tell you this series will be a favorite.
Kelsie smashes it again!! I’m fully invested in Harden Heights. What a peek into a world, I can’t wait to dive more into! Ruin Me is such a good introduction to new characters and relationships. There are so many little easter eggs into the Kelsieverse which I really enjoyed, small mentions of past characters, were great for a longtime Kelsie reader like me. GAME NIGHTS ARE BACK!!
I actually wouldn’t say it’s a slow burn but he definitely falls first!! The spice is just right as always. I loved Violet as a FMC but there were some moments where I was screaming at her (she went right!?, she gave her dad the signed paper BEFORE getting Ollie’s name out of him!) Jagger however I thought was quite an open book, especially after pulling Violet into the empty classroom. I think he was upfront and honest with her and really let her in.
Overall I really enjoyed the entry into a new town - I’ve been looking forward to learning more about Harden Heights and The Drift since A Little Broken with Tatum and Pax. I felt like we got a really good glimpse into future main characters and their personalities which were so well written - I already love Hawke and Ford!
Already can’t wait for the next one.

What a start to the series!! If you have been a reader of Kelsie’s for a while, you will definitely recognize a bunch of characters. I have to say, I wasn’t sure about these boys at first but man I fell in love with all of them!! Ruin Me was Kelsie’s first book in her new Harden Heights series. It was full of drama, mystery, and so much sass!!
Violet was in a tough spot. Her father was basically the scum of the earth and took something that wasn’t his. She even went into the Lion’s den to try to get it back. But Jagger was definitely not someone who would cave to returning money. All bets were final. Only the more time she spent around him, the more he seemed to cave. But what would it end up costing him?
I absolutely loved Violet’s tenacity! Jagger definitely met his match. Their chemistry was off the charts and so steamy! He really was a softie under all that hard muscle! It had me on the edge of my seat from the start. These brothers are definitely not just the punks I remembered! I am so glad that they are all getting their time to shine! Oh and game night!! A little crazier, but game night none the less! And Reeves!! Loved getting that connection too! I am sure we are in for a wild ride as this series continues and I am buckled up, ready to go!
Jagger Harden, a powerful and controlled fighter who runs an underground fighting business with his brothers. His life revolves around strict rules and loyalty—anything that threatens his empire must be shut down immediately. That includes Violet Reeves, a determined woman who demands the return of money her father lost to Jagger in a bet. When Jagger refuses, Violet refuses to back down and eventually enters an underground tournament herself in an attempt to win the money back.
One of the things I love best is the intense dynamic between Jagger and Violet. Their relationship begins with anger and mistrust, but gradually develops into attraction as they are forced into each other’s world. The enemies-to-lovers trope works well here because both characters are stubborn and strong-willed. Violet’s determination challenges Jagger’s need for control, while Jagger’s protective instincts reveal a softer side beneath his tough exterior.
Violet is not portrayed as helpless; instead, she proves she is capable of standing up for herself even in a dangerous environment. Jagger, while initially appearing cold and ruthless, gradually becomes more complex as readers learn about his loyalty to his brothers and his desire to protect what matters to him.
Overall, Ruin Me is an engaging romance that blends action, drama, and emotional tension. Fans of enemies-to-lovers stories and darker college romance settings will likely enjoy this book. With strong chemistry between the main characters and a high-stakes plot, the novel sets up the series in an exciting way and leaves readers curious about what will happen next.
Ruin me was by far the best book Kelsey has written solely because I loved the darker side of things! Harden heights is the vibe I didn't know I needed, I thought I loved Lockwood, the honey romance but she knocked it outta the park with this one! The Enemies to Lovers, Opposite attract and Touch her and Die *Chef's Kiss! Add in when Jagger calls her a “Good Girl” throughout the book and the way he's always there for her and trying to make her life better. He would literally give up everything for her, it's truly what every girl wants from her man! The way Jagger and Violet genuinely care for the others' best interest is truly amazing. Violet was the girl from the Drift who thought her luck would never change until Jagger proved her wrong. You could tell throughout the book how much he truly cared for her! Seriously this book!!!! Their Chemistry!!!! It had the perfect amount of spice, and the slow burn was enough where I wasn't able to put this book down!!! This book is a must read! #enemiestolovers #touchheranddie #opposites
