One secret. Two lies. Zero ways to outrun fate!

As the King of Panthera, Dion is no stranger to power, but he's about to face his greatest challenge coming face to face with his fated mate. As a young cub, he saw her enchanting face in a psychic vision. Instead of feeling joy, he heard the clock ticking down on his freedom. The moment their paths cross, his animal instincts will take over, and he will no longer be the one in charge. He'll be helpless to their bond.

But what if, when they come face to face, he pretended to be someone else instead of the king of the realm?

Niamh has always played by her own rules, using her deadly beauty to hide her heart from the world. A fairy with the power to control poisonous plants, she’s known betrayal and rejection all her life. She knows she's the fated mate of the King of Panthera. But when she meets a hot guard on her way to the palace, she prefers his rough touch to the softness she might find with the king. There’s something about the guard that calls to her, something that makes her feel alive in ways she’s never known before.

The only problem? The guarded man is hiding something. But, so is she. When the truth is revealed, they might not only lose each other, they may also lose themselves.

Reveal Me is a spicy standalone romantasy set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Dagger Brotherhood, and the Demonica series.

Panther and a Fae

Ok super short and have to be honest wanted more, the backstory on the curse, the story after last sentence and future! Yes it could’ve stretched further! But loved both were loose with everyone and didn’t want it, but fate knows best…

A fairy trying to dodge fate, until a twist of fate...at the hands of our favorite matchmaker...gives her a helpful little nudge.
I absolutely loved this book more than I thought I would. The story starts out with Prince Dion as a child and us getting to know some things about him. The way that the author leads the end of that first chapter will literally leave you in suspense as to what choice he made. Of course, then we get touchbacks to a previous book with familiar characters later on, so it all connects and I love it! LOL!
Niamh is a mixed bag character, but the way that this story plays out...it all works. She's funny, the very thing that she accuses Dion of being (which he is, but pot meet kettle), but I love how he feels the connection and is willing to change. This book is a whirlwind of drama, fun, and delicious steamy (I wanted more! I always want more LOL). But this is a must read. Period.

Reveal Me is the second installment in the All Hallows' Eve series, and just like the first book, it was a short and sweet read.

This story follows Niamh and Dion, a pair of fated mates who have been kept apart by the closed-off world of Panthera. Now that the way is open, they’re dragging their feet. Niamh is haunted by a history of betrayal, while Dion fears having his choice taken away and being tied to one woman for the rest of his life.

The stage is set at the big wedding of Oz and Stella (from Forbid Me—if you haven’t read it yet, you should!). When Niamh and Dion meet, with him pretending to be a guard, sparks fly instantly. But neither is willing to give in.

I absolutely loved this installment! Niamh and Dion are perfect for each other, if only they would let go of their preconceived notions of what they think is true. Will they choose rejection, or will they be vulnerable enough to risk their hearts for their fated mate?

There isn't a lot of new world-building, but there is enough explanation to give a good idea of what happened before the portal reopened. If you want to dive deeper into the world of Panthera, you can check out Worship Me and Forbid Me from the previous Immortal Vices and Virtues series.

Another couple, another ending tied up nicely, and in my opinion, another win for the series!

This story had me with mixed emotions. The writing is beautifully pulled together. We meet King Dion and Niamh. Both have ideas of how the other is and how they are going to be when they meet. But, what both fail to see is they are more alike than they realize. These ideas of how things are conceived in their minds are what causes the mixed feelings about them. The games they played with each was bittersweet as each was trying to prove something, whether it to themselves or each other. But, as the story continues we start to see a shift. Things are not what they think they are. The story ends beautifully and makes you smile.

This book really wasn't for me, some descriptions just give me the creeps, the plot was weak and the characters just so whiny just because they knew the were going to meet their fated mate.

Just didn't like this book at all.

Such a good book

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun mix of shifter and fairy with a little bit of witchiness mixed in for good measure. I liked how Dion and Niamh are described and how they interact with those around them. I would love to read more stories in this world.

Another good book in this continuing series. I enjoyed the story though I did get a bit irritated with the main female character! Loved getting to visit with Stella & Oz before their wedding.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Ines Johnson!

Reveal Me is the second standalone book in the fourth season of  Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows' Eve,  and tells the story of Niamh and Dion.

And we're already at the second book in the fourth Immortal Vices and Virtues season?! Reveal Me is yet another great Romantasy set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe. This is sadly the last season, so I'm going to try and enjoy every book a little more. For those who don't know the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe, this universe consists of four seasons, and each season has several Romantasy standalone books written by different authors/author duos. Each book ends with a happy ending, and some books have characters that have been introduced in a previous book. Which I truly enjoy because you get to read about previous characters again!

Reveal Me is the second book in the new Immortal Vices and Virtues season called All Hallows' Eve. Just like the first book, Reveal Me has a beautiful cover with small details matching the story. I'm a big fan of these types of covers, I don't really like covers with people on them, so I think the new covers are definitely an upgrade. But the cover is of course not as important as the story. Reveal Me is a short book about Niamh, a fairy, and Dion, a panther shifter. Dion is not just a shifter, he's also a king. If you've read the previous Immortal Vices and Virtues seasons, Niamh and Dion may be familiar because they've been mentioned in Forbid Me (third season). If you compare Reveal Me to the previous books from season one to three, you notice that this one is shorter, which makes Reveal Me the perfect read if you're looking for a short and enjoyable Romantasy. Perfect for in between bigger books or if you want to complete your reading challenge!

Reveal Me was another great book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, and it was nice reading about Stella and Oz again from Forbid Me (third season). Just like the first book in the fourth season, Reveal Me was a quick and fast-paced read, and although it was on the shorter side you still have an enjoyable story, just not that much character development. Which I don't mind if you've been reading way too many big books, lol. If you're looking for a short read about fated mates, then Reveal Me is the book for you!

Reveal Me: A Royal Shifter Romantasy by Ines Johnson is part of Immortal Vices And Virtues: All Hallows’ Eve.  Dion is a prince and panther shifter with the gift of seeing his future.  However he has dreaded this time for years, ever since he saw his future where he meets his mate and loses his freedom.  Niamh is a fae that controls poisonous plants. She knows that she's the fated mate to Prince Dion however after many betrayals. She has no desire to be with the community “d!ck”.  She plans to reject him and continue on alone in life.  When she meets a palace guard and finds herself attracted yet turned down after spilling her truth.  The guard is actually Dion and he's surprised to find his attraction to her yet dismayed that she plans to reject him.  When Niamhe goes undercover to trick him it sets off events that could either cement or destroy their relationship.

I did enjoy the story and the character development was wonderful as they both fought their preconceived notions. I’m always a sucker for a strong independent FMC.  The world building was interesting as well.  The novella was short and easy one day read perfect to reset in between books. If you enjoy paranormal romances with themes of fated mates, magic, alternate realms, shifters, fae, forced proximity, and steam then you'll enjoy Reveal Me.

I bet you've never met a fated couple like Nimah and Dion before. They're like two peas in a pod. Dion grew up with huge responsibilities on his shoulders and didn't like fate interfering in his life, so he decided to lash out by being an f-boy. So not the best decision. Honestly, I liked Dion a lot more before this story. Now he’s ugh. It's so disappointing. As for Nimah, she grew up around bitter parents, so I can't really blame her for having a jaded view about love. I can blame her for her bad taste in men. She jumps in knowingly because she doesn't want the commitment. Like I said, two peas in a pod.

When they meet, Dion is pretending to be a guard, but Niamh discovers the truth. That is the beginning of the most convoluted game I have ever witnessed. It's so messy, but I have to admit, I kind of like Dion getting a taste of his own medicine. Dion was an idiot, but Nimah's reason for continuing this little game was a wee bit crazy. The play-by-play between them got so twisted I couldn't keep any of it straight. They went from passion to angst in two seconds flat. It was ridiculously entertaining.

Everything became so twisted I couldn't keep any of it straight. They went from passion to angst very quickly, but it was their own fault.

Love this author and book!

This book is part of the Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows Eve series that hosts all different authors. Ines Johnson absolutely amazed me with this book – even though it was short, I absolutely wished it were longer. I always love to read about what happens next and also, I agree with another reviewer, that it would be nice to know more of the backstory on the curse.

Reveal Me was such an enjoyable book that had main characters that were fighting against fate. Dion, who is the King of Panthera, who received a vision of his mate when he was a kid, and even knowing that fate had shown him that he would meet her, he didn’t know exactly how it would end up happening. So when it does end up happening and Niamh is his best friend’s wife-to-be’s… (haha tricked ya there!) best friend, that was unexpected.

Niamh has always known that she’s fated to be mates with Dion, but she has planned on rejecting him in order to be alone. But alas, fate is tricky like that… especially when best laid plans go awry.

Definitely a fan of the books in this series that I HAVE read and absolutely loved Reveal Me!!

Ines Johnson's "Reveal Me" is an absolute gem of a novella that deserves all the stars! From the first page to the last, I was completely captivated by the drama, spice, and humor woven into this fated mates story. Johnson's writing is superb, creating characters that are both believable and engaging, especially as they hilariously try to outwit each other.

The plot is expertly crafted, delivering a satisfying blend of tension and passion that kept me eagerly turning the pages. The chemistry between the main characters is electric, making their interactions both steamy and laugh-out-loud funny. It’s rare to find a story that balances these elements so perfectly, but Johnson nails it.

"Reveal Me" is a must-read for anyone who loves fated mates stories with a side of humor and plenty of spice. This novella is a delightful escape that will leave you wanting more from Ines Johnson. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

This novella delivers fast-paced tension, identity deception, and sizzling chemistry in a tight package.

This fun and quick story about fate finding its way despite all attempts to avoid it follows Dion, the prince and now king of Pantherra, with his reputation of being a f**k boy, and Niamh, a princess in hiding with slightly poisonous magic and determination to reject her fated mate to keep her freedom. When the two meet, each starts their own deception and lies, trying to prove their point to the other side, and not knowing how to escape the tangle of lies afterwards.
I really liked the story. It was light, no violence or wars or destruction, not too much romance thrown onto the reader. Yes, there was spice, there was romance, and it was exactly the right amount I needed in this book. Niamh and Dion are nice characters, with their own virtues and vices, and it was fun watching them try to deny their fate and then searching how to fix things. Great book for PNR lovers and this rainy and cold October weather!

Book two here we go!

I should add, if you haven’t already start at the beginning of the IVV series, book 1, season 1: “Reject Me” and read through the three previous seasons, then you’ll get to know all the characters, how the world hangs together and you’ll get the “in” jokes.

Again - who does this cover art? I am loving it, the gold contrast with the black it’s lush.

Back at the All Hallows Eve party in Crossroads for another fast paced, shifter romance!

Who’s finding their fated mate this time…

Oooh Dion, I really liked him in Forbid Me!
And Niamh, good friend of Tori and Stella (Forbid Me)
Neither wants a fated mate … this should be good!

This was good, a fun read, fast paced and over all too soon!

Loved it

This was sush an enjoyable story to read. Set in the world of Panthera where wild beasts roam the forest and a king with an amazing ability to see into the future with visions of things to come, will meet his fated mate. He's known as quite the ladies' man, which will become quite tricky when it comes to Niamh. She's fiesty yet has a stubborn streek and the ability to talk to poisonous plants, which I thought was really cool. And i love that she was a strong female character who will keep him on his toes and will make him work for it. I also loved the animal attraction between them, both to the point where it got quite spicy. Dion will do whatever it takes to woo his fated mate and even fight a beast if he has to. it was well written, and I loved the cami appearance between Stella and OZ, and I really felt like I was in the story with Niamh and Dion every step of the way.

Absolutely loved this story! For a shorter read, it packed in so much emotion, character development, and world building that it felt like a full length novel. The chemistry between the main characters was instant yet beautifully layered, and you could really feel their pull toward one another growing with every page. I adored how their individual strengths and vulnerabilities balanced each other out, making their connection feel both fated and earned.

The world itself was magical and vivid, full of shifters, fae, and that perfect blend of danger and desire that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The tension, the spice, the found family vibes, everything just worked. I read it in one sitting and didn’t want it to end. I’m hoping we get to see more of these characters in future stories because this one was unforgettable!

We finally get to read Dion and Niamh's story and I feel this should have been a full-length book and not a short story. This can be read as a standalone but there is a lot of reference to other characters. Both characters know the other is their fated mate and have been avoiding meeting each other as they are both free spirited players. Niamh tries to trick Dion into cheating on his fated mate with her with a glamour but fails to realize he is a shifter and can smell her not matter what she looks like. I feel this whole scenario was ridiculous and really wish these two got a full book to dive deeper into building their relationship especially since neither wanted the other. This whole world has some amazing stories and it would have been nice to see this one have more depth as we heard so much about these characters in previous stories.

Fleeing a fate that was imminent and from which they were unlikely to escape, everything was predetermined. Dion and Niamh found themselves trying to control the uncontrollable, but as the saying goes, "to swim so much just to die on the shore." I wondered why they were struggling so much. And the pot calling the kettle black when it was obvious they had been doing the same. That bothered me. They kept me curious and expectant with every move they made and the game they seemed to be playing with each other. The passion that gripped them was fiery and intense. Everyone seemed to know Dion's skilled ways. Niamh kept me amused with her ideas, and this girl was dangerous. Loved this story with its strong and passionate characters. Struggling emotions, doubts, trickery, jealously and passion.

I was actually a bit disappointed that this wasn’t longer. There were so many things that could have been added. I want to know more. I’d love to know the origin story for the curse. Also, it would have been fantastic to see Niamh using her powers over poisonous plants to help the kingdom, and see some of her helping Dion rule.
With that being said, though quick, it was still a fantastic read. The bit of hypocrisy, the sheer determination of a king to show he has completely changed from the man he was before Niamh arrived. Dion genuinely caring about his people and kingdom. Add it all up with the steam of 2 people fated for each other, trying and failing to keep their distance and fight fate. It makes for a great story and read. I would absolutely adore more of this world.

This was a humorous yet eye-rolling take on fated mates. Dion and Niamh know who their mates are and when they are supposed to “meet” them. However, neither is willing to let Fate dictate their lives. With the “assistance” of a sly fairy, readers are treated to an inside look at a world of beautiful cat shifters, and what can go wrong when you try to outrun destiny’s plans for your life. I really enjoyed the deep introspection Dion and Niamh have the ought the book. Their struggles to let their true selves, hopes, dreams, flaws to shine through make this a great read if you find yourself between books.

Reveal Me is a 105-page, 20-chapter book that has a little bit of everything you could want in a palate cleanser.
I have been having a hard time focusing on what I am reading for a while now, and while I eventually finish the book, it is taking more time than before. But with Reveal Me, it was the perfect length and I was able to finish it with minimum distraction.

You have two people who are running from fate feeling like they have no choice (and do they? It's called Fate for a reason), and what happenes when two people fight the given? Some stupid games, and lots of O's.

Spice: 1.5/5

When Dion was young, he had a vision of his fated mate, so he did his best to sample everything possible and avoid the situation for as long as possible. He just didn't consider his mate might not want him.
I'm not a fan of the trope where one (or both) of the MCs gets wind so much that they need a scolding shower and an STI test. However, I've read a number of books in this universe and another from this author I loved so I decided to give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. Not the biggest fan of Dion, but I loved Niamh and would've loved to read more about her.
I highly recommend.

Oh I loved this story! It is a shorter read, but so much is packed into it! There is emotion, character development, and world building which will make you feel like you’re in a movie.

The chemistry between the main characters was instant yet layered, that played out so well! You could feel emotions toward one another growing and poring out the pages. Their opposites really pulled them well together and they worked so well!

The world itself was anmazing and so vivid. It’s jam-packed with shifters and fae. There’s also that blend of danger and desire that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout!

Loves it so much!!!

Reveal Me was an incredible addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Niamh and Dion are both attending each of their best friend's wedding knowing their true mate will be there, Niamh knowing it is the King of Panthera and Dion having seen his mate in a vision as a child, and dreading every moment of it coming. When Niamh meets a guard on her way to the wedding, she finds an instant connection to him and thus doesn't want to meet the King of Panthera. What she doesn't realize is that this is Dion, so the connection they feel is in fact real due to them being mates. I loved the ending for these two, and while this was a novella, it certainly had it all!

Commitmentphobes everywhere!!!
Great little novella; a fairy and panther shifter. Both have some broken pieces and are running from fate.
Dion has been doing his best to avoid his fated mate ever since he learned about her when he was young. Niamh only wants to find her fated mate so she can reject the playboy. As Niamh says, she doesn't need a ride on the community *ahem*. Only Dion pretends to be someone else when they meet, and when he hears Niamh intends to reject him....well now that he's met her he can't let her go.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this story. Niamh is one of those characters who you will be rooting for to get her happy ending and while she's not a full fae her magic will suck you in and the way she can handle poisonous plants made.me love her more. Dion is the king of panthera and from the moment we were introduced to his character i knew he would be one of my favorites. This was a short novel and while I wish we would of gotten to read more about them and Stella and oz's wedding i am very happy with how the story ended.

Dion and Niamh are fated mates, however, both are very reluctant due to their own personal demons.

Niamh is haunted by her fears of betrayal and Dion fears having his right to choose be taken from him. Can they move past their fears or will their fears get the better of them?

I loved Niamh and Dion together. She’s feisty and stubborn and gives as good as she gets. Once Dion gets his head out of his—you know what—he’ll do anything for Niamh. I loved the cameos from previous characters and the story itself is great.

I loved it! If you're caught up in the IV&V world, you'll recognize both Niamh and Dion. She's fae, he's a shifter prince and neither are particular excited to meet their fated mate. Both possess foresight, so they know exactly when it will happen. But they both overwhelmingly underestimate the power of fate and how strongly they'd react to one another. They'll both have to get over their pasts and insecurities. I'm always a sucker for insta-love! And I especially loved seeing Stella and Oz again!
