I love a friends to lovers situation. Throw in some sex lessons for an inexperienced partner and I will eat that book up.
What I was not enjoying is how every other encounter that Roxie had she or the people she was around referenced her being a whore/slut. Why are we shaming her if she herself made this decision to use her body for pleasure? Have you never used your body for pleasure? And the boy (Grant) who also uses his body for pleasure doesn’t get shamed at all. That’s a double standard and 10000000% not enjoyable to read about.
My redeeming about was Eli. He LOVES Roxie for who she is and is not afraid (okay a little afraid at first) to stand up for her and who she is. It was refreshing to see!
Thank you PenPal PR and Miss KE for allowing me to read this ARC!

From the very first page, I was completely engrossed in Dirty Charisma Check. This spicy and hilarious read takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster, capturing the slow-burn tension between Roxie and Eli that had me rooting for them every step of the way. The frustration of their miscommunications and the eventual fallout from their fake relationship was masterfully portrayed, making my heart ache for their love story.
The characters are incredibly relatable, and the fast-paced format feels like a lively group chat with friends, bringing the story to life. When a series of comical misunderstandings leads the town to believe that the charming "playboy" Roxie and the sweet, innocent Eli are dating, they agree to the ruse for a couple of entertaining reasons. Roxie wants to escape her boring love life, and Eli needs to fend off a persistent PTA member. When Roxie's living situation takes a turn, Eli steps in to help, leading to some eye-opening lessons for both of them.
This sixth installment in the Snowfall Valley series stands strong as a standalone without losing any charm. The classic "nerdy guy gets the hot girl" trope is executed perfectly, delivering a satisfying happy ending in more ways than one. K. E. Monteith has created a captivating tale that I truly enjoyed, and I look forward to diving into more of her work in the future!

(ARC read in exchange for my honest review)
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this book.
As the 6th title in the Snowfall Valley series, I felt a little lost at times with all the characters in the friend group, but the town, their stories, history, and friendship was really cute.
Eli is such a teddy bear. A true looks like they could kill you, is a cinnamon roll character.
The premise of virgin MMC and very experienced FMC with fake dating and sex lessons is such a niche trope that I need injected into my veins. It was *chefs kiss*
The nerdy and gaming aspect is so perfect. I love me a nerdy, gamer man and to see it represented is so wonderful.
If you love:
- Inexperienced MMC with golden retriever energy in the streets-and enthusiastic giver in the sheets
-An experienced FMC who is patient and respectful
- A friend group who is a little meddling
- Going on an adventurous deer hunt (not to hunt, but to bring back home)
- Nosey and gossiping small town
Then this book is for you.

** ARC Copy **
I need more Roxie and Eli. I'm over here giggling and kicking my feet just thinking about them. I read to fuel my art and the way after reading the pinky promise scene I not only had to draw it but I also felt the undeniable urge to animate it which I haven't felt in a fat minute. Genuinely debating on buying a physical copy because I know for a fact this book is now one of my new comfort books and I do plan on rereading it in the future.
I love that this book works as a stand alone as well as with the series. I don't feel like I missed too much from the previous books but I'm definitely going back to read them when I have time, ESPECIALLY if they are anything like this one. I'm loving the Hallmark after dark thing going on.
I even ended up playing this game with my nonreader friend (they like when I tell them about the books I read. They says my ranting about the books are their bed time stories) where I'd send them the emoji’s at the beginning of each chapter and they had to try to guess what the character was about.

DNF at 68%.
I really tried and tried to push through because I wanted to see how the story would play out but I couldn't get through the FMC's constant self-deprecating comments. She painted herself as what she viewed the town viewed her as, which is the small-town slut. Between this and the constant mentions of the MMC blushing every time his virginity at the age of 30 was mentioned like a shrinking violet.
I'm all for free speech but the constant F this and F that was a little much at times. It was a little unnecessary at times.
I love small towns and inter-connected standalones but this one had too many moving parts that felt like filler that was adding to fluff out the piece as opposed to enhancing the story.
For a book of this length, it rarely takes me more than 2-3 days at max to finish. I kept starting and stopping and losing interest.

I really love the stories that KE Monteith puts together, truly I do. For the plot, this book would be 4.5-5 stars. Eli and Roxie are adorable together, the banter is bantering, the friend groups successfully do their thing.
However. The EGREGIOUS spelling and grammar errors throughout the book made it extraordinarily difficult and distracting to get through. I’ve known this to be an occasional issue with this author in the past, but this one… this one was much worse.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5
Nerd gets the girl... but make it better, aged up, and emotionally intelligent. Check, check, and check!
I really appreciate when the FMC, Roxie here, is the player and MMC, Eli, is the more reserved one. It's a great dynamic and the confidence building/boosting is *chef's kiss* With fake dating? It's just so good! Eli such a nervous little sweetheart about the fake dating situation and Roxie works hard to close herself off (because it's scary to vulnerable!). Ultimate goal for both of them? Don't. Fall. In. Love.
We can all guess what happens...
Two things I would note:
(1) This is book no. 6 in a series. I didn't feel like I was missing anything as this is the first book I've read in this series, heck, it's the first book I've read by K E Monteith.
(2) There are multiple DND references. If you haven't played DND before or aren't DND adjacent (e.g., you have a friend group that plays it, but you don't - aka this is how I am), some of the references to it may be confusing. I think it's like any time your friend has a hobby you don't quite understand, and it makes it all the more charming.
Another series and author added to my TBR backlist. Thoroughly enjoyable and I would totally read another book about Roxie and Eli and their gang!
⛪ Interconnected small town series
🔥 Hallmark after dark/open door
💕 Dual POV, first person
👯♀️ Tight knit friend group
📱 Available on Kindle Unlimited
✨ Virgin MMC x Player FMC
✏️ Spicy lessons
🙈 Fake dating
🤞🏼 Forced proximity
Thank you to the author and Pen Pal PR for the gifted copy!

Dirty Charisma by K.E. Monteith
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ll admit—I can be a little wary when trying a new romance author. I don’t always love the virgin trope, and sometimes “open door” scenes can feel a bit over the top for me. However, I’m glad I stuck with this one, because once the story found its stride, it became a truly heartfelt read.
The first chapters were heavy on expletives (almost too much for me), but the real heart of this book is Roxie and Eli. Roxie wears confidence like armor, but it often masks her own insecurities. Eli is a sweet, nerdy introvert who’s inexperienced but endlessly kind, showing Roxie not just love but trust, patience, and emotional care. Together, they learn to step into their worth—both individually and as a couple—and I adored their arcs.
What I loved:
✨ Eli is genuinely one of the sweetest book boyfriends I’ve read.
✨ The way the book tackled double standards around promiscuity.
✨ Fun touches like emoji chapter titles (they hint at the chapter events!) and text exchanges.
What didn’t land for me:
- The Dungeons & Dragons subplot (fans of DnD may love this, but the references mostly went over my head).
- Some grammar and spelling errors that really should have been picked up on during the editing process.
Overall, this is a solid opposites-attract romance with heart, vulnerability, and a nerdy hero you’ll want to protect at all costs.
Thank you to PenPal PR and K.E. Monteith for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

✨ARC review✨
Roxie has a reputation in town as the carefree playgirl—never settling down, always flirting, and known more for her wild side than for the heart of gold she actually has. Eli, on the other hand, couldn’t be more different. He’s a sweet, nerdy schoolteacher, and at 30 years old, he’s still a virgin who has little experience when it comes to women or relationships. When a pushy PTA mom won’t take no for an answer, Roxie steps in and pretends to be his girlfriend, setting off a romance that’s as unexpected as it is delightful.
This book was such a quick, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable read! I loved how it flipped the usual gender dynamics—Roxie being the bold and experienced one, while Eli was the sweet, unsure virgin. Their connection was both adorable and seriously steamy (the spice is hot). Even better, their relationship wasn’t just about chemistry; it was about growth. Roxie taught Eli about intimacy in a way that was tender and affirming, while Eli introduced Roxie to his love of Dungeons & Dragons. Watching them share those pieces of themselves was one of my favorite parts of the story.
The writing was lighthearted and fun, with plenty of heartfelt moments tucked in. I flew through it with a smile on my face, and it even inspired me and my husband to consider starting up a D&D game night with our friends. A refreshing, sexy, and sweet romance that I absolutely loved!

This is the sixth book in the Snowfall series and although this is the first book I've read written by K. E. Monteith, I think I'd like to read more about this gang.
In this book, we follow Roxie and Eli. Eli is a nerdy teacher with cinnamon roll vibes exuding from him. And Roxie, whos's extrovert and complete opposite from Eli. They make a great couple, her influence over him, teaching him and increasing his confidence is a great part in the book. And I must admit, the Dungeons and Dragons parts were one of my favourites,
Tropes you can find in this book:
- Opposite attract
- Virgin MMC
- Found family.
- Small town romance
- Nerd/sunshine.
- Dual first person POV
- Cinnamon Roll MMC
- Spicy lessons
This book is an open- door one, with the spicy lessons imparted by Roxie being great (the teacher became the student).
My ratings:
4/5 ⭐ 2,5/5🌶️
I’ve received this book as an ARC and I’d like to thank K. E. Monteith and her team at PenPal PR for letting me read this book in advance and allow me to give my honest opinion.

Let me start by saying that I am such a sucker for the fake dating trope. I eat it up every single time, and Roxie and Eli’s setup gave me exactly what I was looking for. Their chemistry is sweet and fun, and the way their relationship unfolds had me smiling like an idiot more than once.
That said, I do wish the whole “slut/whore” vibe with Roxie was turned down a notch. It felt like a lot of the interaction she had with other people was bringing up her sexual exploits, and after a while it got a little repetitive. I loved her confidence and her boldness, but I think her personality would’ve shined even more if that wasn’t one of the main focuses.
Overall, though, this book was a really fun read. The small-town backdrop, the spicy twist on fake dating, and Eli’s innocence made for such a charming combo. If you love playful, trope-filled romance with some heat and a lot of heart, this one’s definitely worth picking up.

I've read other books in the Snowfall Valley series and loved them, so I was so excited to read this one and K.E. Monteith did not disappoint! I'm so thankful to have received an ARC of this book thank you so much K.E. Monteith and Pen Pal PR. I think this book has been my favorite so far out of the whole series. From the first chapter I was kicking and giggling my feet, and I was hooked from then to the very end. Dirty Charisma Check is such a fun read. Roxie and Eli are everything you see their chemistry from the first chapter and how they both grow as people throughout the book because of each other. I absolutely love how K.E. Monteith writes fake dating, and this one is no exception. I really loved this book from the laugh out loud moments to the heartfelt ones and that there was DND in this book as well I mean what's not to love. I cannot recommend it enough and I can't wait to see what's next for K.E. Monteith!

📕BOOK REVIEW📕
This is book 5 in the A Snowfall Valley Novel Series. Party girl Roxie and nerdy history teacher Eli meet through friends. Eli is instantly smitten, but Roxie just wants sexy time. However, when Eli tells his brother that he is dating Roxie, and she finds out he’s a virgin, she decides to flip the tables and be his teacher.
Ohhhh I love a virgin MMC and the fact that it was Eli was just hot. I loved him. I thought Roxie was perfect for him because she grew his confidence not only in the bedroom, but in life in general. I also loved how Eli was a positive influence on Roxie, and she too grew as a character.
I loved the Dungeons and Dragons rep 🤭 and again, it was real cute seeing Roxie engage in his interests.
Their romance was TOP TIER. Who knew the quiet and shy Eli had such a delicious mouth.
I’ve read a few in this series and this one is my favourite.

I quite enjoyed this it could do with an edit some spelling errors and wrong names at one point but if you overlooked that it was enjoyable.
Eli was perfect a blushing nerd and a virgin who is kind of in a mental block with sex.
Roxie is very sexual experience and is secretly bi but she is relationship inexperienced. Which seems unlikely as she is a couples counsellor.
Eli and Roxie are attracted to each other however Eli wants a relationship and Roxie doesn’t until she does.
Eli is so cute trying to get out of his comfort zone and really grows into himself. While Roxie softens for Eli they make a great couple and it was refreshing to have the woman as the sexually experienced one in the relationship.

Dirty Charisma Check is part of a series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone. It's fun, nerdy and sexy.
Eli is a nerdy highschool teacher who is desperately trying to be diplomatic in his rejection of a pushy Karen-type PTO mom. Roxie, the self proclaimed town hoe, comes to his rescue and claims to be his girlfriend to get Pushy PTO mom to back off. And thus begins the fake-dating saga of Eli and Roxie.
Both are a bit nervous about the fake dating situation. Eli is afraid to take the fake dating too far because he's certain he'll fall head-over-heals and Roxie is nervous because Eli is someone she could truly fall for but she's been hurt so badly in the past that she doesn't want to be vulnerable ever again.
Eli is such a sweetheart and I loved how over the story Roxie helps build his confidence in not just romantic pursuits but the rest of his life as well. And Eli's kindness and empathy begin breaking down the walls around Roxie's heart.
If you like stories with virgin heroes getting lessons in love, D&D, and fake dating, you'll probably enjoy Dirty Charisma Check. There were a few typos/grammar errors in the advance copy I read, but for me they didn't detract from the story in a significant way and there's every possibility that they'll be corrected prior to publication.

3.75 ⭐️ it was a quick fun read in a small town romance. I love Roxie & Eli, i really enjoyed their stories and how comfortable they are with one another. Roxie being super confident & experienced with intimacy but feeling like she’s missing something. Eli being the virgin in his friend group but feeling left out cuz all his friends have partners. Eli & Roxie strike up a deal to fake date to get a woman off Eli’s radar & in the process helping Eli with intimacy and some spicy lessons. They found comfort in one another and found their safe space. I had some issues with grammar/spelling so i struggled a little but it was a good read overall.

I was sent this an Arc opportunity and so here is my honest review with no spoilers.
Honestly this is not my usual type of read so I was skeptical at first. I like the main characters even if it’s not some I would usually see in books. The writing was good and honestly made me get lost in it after a while and so I didn’t have any problem with wanting to stop reading like how I usually get in some books. Thank you for the chance to read this book early and would definitely recommend it to others; as well as looking forward to reading more from the author. (Sorry for the vagueness however I do not like to spoil books in my reviews)

The chemistry between Roxie and Eli is so good. The way she is so gentle with him, and how she knows what he needs is so intuitive.
I love the nerdy but also rugged part of Eli. His anxiety was handled well by the author, I think it was insightful to really understand how intense it is to be in his mind at times.
I love seeing them show each other their hobbies and interests. And the way he was with his students and making sure they were being respectful to each other. And just the way Eli really stood up for Roxie all the time, so endearing.
Thank you PenPal PR and Miss KE for allowing me to read this ARC!
I love the nerdy but also rugged part of Eli. His anxiety was handled well by the author, I think it was insightful to really understand how intense it is to be in his mind at times.

I loved this book. It was cute, witty, funny and spicy. Everything you want in a romcom book. Roxie only had one-night stands, she was against relationships because of a partner that cheated on her. She was sassy and straight forward. Eli was a 30-year-old self proclaimed nerd who was still a virgin. Through a series of events, they start fake dating. There are antics with their friends and some serious games of Dungeons & Dragons. Eli brought being a nerd to a whole new level. I loved watching their relationship develop.

I received this book as an ARC and it was the perfect romcom as the summer is coming to an end. Eli and Roxie are adorable together. You can't help but love them individually and as a couple. As someone who has played D&D, the references were amazing and added some much appreciated nerd humor. I laughed out loud several times. The book is written so that it is highly entertaining even if you aren't familiar with the game. I had not read any of the Snowfall series before this story, but I will definitely be adding them to my tbr.

Opposites Roxie & Eli make a deal to fake date to increase Eli’s experience and get an annoying PTA mom off his back. Eli is a sweet and nerdy motorcycle riding teacher that falls for Roxie, who is far more experienced and ready to help. Their banter was great and they level each other out perfectly by sharing parts of their lives with one another. Snowfall Valley has been a fun series!

Roxie and Eli are complete opposites, she is the extrovert and he the shy guy. But when the chance comes and they began fake dating, plus there are some "dirty lessons" the situation evolves and we find out that they are actually a match made in heaven.
This would have been a 5 stars if it wasn't for some issues here and there, but this has to do more with my personal preferences than the quality of the job.
Thank you PenPalPr for the ARC

***ARC Review***
This book was so freaking cute. I was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time. The chemistry between Eli and Roxie was immaculate and the character development for both characters was so well written. The banter, the flirting, the nerdiness of it all! 10/10 highly recommend.

This book just wasn't for me. I felt like the FMC was so self-deprecating throughout the entire book. It just turned me off to it and made it harder to enjoy. I did like the D&D playing I thought that was pretty unique and there was more emphasis on it than I was expecting. And I liked that there were chapters of just texting conversations, I really enjoy that in books.

4⭐3🌶️ ARC E-Book Dual POV First Person
Both MCs have great friend groups. As a counselor herself, I'm surprised the FMC doesn't attend therapy. I love how the MCs built up their friendship first. And who doesn't love a nerdy, motorcycle riding MMC who wears slutty little glasses ❤️🔥

I’ll start with saying if you like the whole fake dating then eventually falling for each other then this is for you
Me preferring the dark side of life in books this is a tame version and it was good
There is mid spice but it’s also tame but I still say give it a try

The sweetness this book as is amazing and add the reverse virgin trope and make him possessive makes it all the better

I was able to get this book as an ARC and this is my opinion of the book. I really enjoyed the slow burn romance of this book. The genuine sweetness of the book had me loving it even more.

As a DnD lover, this was adorable! It was giving Gilmore Girl vibes with some fake dating and really sweet moments mixed in.
