this book was incredibly delicious ❣️ I could not put it down until every page was read, and I am so excited to see what happens next. also for those who don't know me, I only rate 5 stars if it's a book so good I want in my personal library. this book is one of those.
I was honored by Jazzmyn Wolfe to arc read this book, and it did not disappoint.
Teka comes to Copper's Pass Wildlife Sanctuary to escape her past, and to help a lynx. what she found was Nathan, a broody man who didn't express much. They start a slow burn romance, and what I really enjoy about this novella is that it's more about the journey rather than the destination with these two.
I also really love how Wolfe captures the woods, which are a whole separate character by themselves. the way the air is, how the fog engulfes the trunks. I haven't gone many books that can really capture the nature as much as this book did.
Then the drama: Nathan's past comes up, and together he and Teka figure out how to help instead of hinder. Teka has a huge choice to make, stay with Nathan or go back to her old life.
If you like fantasy romance, slow burn, and a nail biting page turner this books for you!
