Read this one in single issues. While it doesn’t explain the main cliffhanger from the animated series, it moves past it and finds a fun way to integrate some characters who were introduced after the show debuted. Having JM DeMatteis write is inspired, and Jim Towe’s art channels the cartoon with aplomb. I’d happily read more of this!

Really awesome and fun Spider-Man story that starts off amazingly but I think the ending could’ve been a bit better. Hope this continues and takes on some more comic stories that weren’t done in the show before.

Read the singles of this series before the collected edition has been published. Never watched any of the original animated series. This was an interesting re-mix of stories and lore from 616 continuity, but I much prefer the material it was drawn from.
