When time itself becomes the enemy, love may be the only way home.
“A really great read for science fiction fans and fans of historical fiction alike.” – Busy Bee “Clocks pulled me right in from the start! Vivid and full of atmosphere… suspense, romance and mystery.”
Wartime London. A city under fire. A clock that doesn’t just tell time… it rewrites it.
When Charlie Grey stumbles upon an abandoned clock in modern-day London, he never expects it to change everything. But one turn of its hands drags him back into the chaos of the Blitz, and into a life that isn’t his own.
Stranded in 1940s London, Charlie discovers that surviving air raids is only the beginning. Maggie, a sharp-witted barmaid, might be his only ally. Edward, a man who seems to know more about time travel than he admits, could be his greatest threat. And somewhere in the shadows, a stranger watches, determined to protect history at any cost.
One clock. Two lifetimes. A choice that could change history forever.
Perfect for fans of The Time Traveller’s Wife, Goodnight Sweetheart, and WWII historical fiction, Clocks is a gripping time-slip novella of suspense, romance, and destiny.

I really enjoyed this. Connor Nash writes well, concisely and with enough fine detail to set extraordinary scenes in a short tale involving time travel. And, of course, clocks!
Five stars, a real favourite. Would I read it again? Most definitely, and I really hope Mr Nash will write a sequel - I can hardly wait!
This thin novel started out slow but then picked up pace and ended up a satisfying read.
It’s not difficult to connect with the characters; however the 1940s setting can be too descriptive. It’s a stylistic choice, I’m sure but I prefer a time travel book that blends action and backdrop seamlessly. At times in this book one pauses to observe, which is great in the beginning but when I am asked to picture the place on its sown I start to lose interest. Fortunately, the story and the main characters, Charlie, are reason enough to keep going.
This book broke my heart and mended it again. The themes of regret, second chances, and belonging are universal, and the wartime setting makes them even more poignant. If you love books that make you feel deeply while keeping you hooked to the very end, Clocks is for you.
Clocks is one of those rare books that stays with you long after you’ve closed the last page. The blend of history, romance, and time travel is beautifully done. I was completely swept away into wartime London and found myself rooting for Charlie at every turn. A hauntingly beautiful story!
