Cute!! I was asked to review Find the Clues by the author, I typically do not review children's books, but I decided to review this one after I read what it was about at Amazon. This book is not only a find the clues book; but it also is a seek and find and it has a story. It is a story about the Cutes. There are the mom and dad, five children, a daughter and two sets of twins. A set with two boys, 8 years old and a set with two girls, 6 years old. The oldest girl is twelve and often forgets to watch her siblings as her mother has asked her to do. That is when the fun begins. The pages that follow are where the reader has to do a search of simple items/people; there is the birthday party, swimming pool, playground, toy store, petting zoo, and supermarket. If you remember the Where's Waldo series, this is very similar. In each of the scenarios, one or more of the children go missing, and it is up to the reader to find them, along with other items.

The middle of the book has the family having dinner and mom asks how everyone's week was and what was their favorite part. They all have their chance to tell what their favorite part of the week was. After that, there are more pages, soccer game, the fair, ballet studio, scout camp, art studio and the first day of school. The ending has the children going to bed. Nope, this is not a spoiler, but a rundown of what the reader needs to do, colorful and packed pages with all sorts of objects to find to keep the child busy for hours to come. This is a book that can be utilized with a child even as young as 5, with the help of someone, up to 18. The back of the book, of course, has answers in case you get stumped with the activities. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend Find the Cutes, by the way that is the name of the family, and think it would be a great addition to a family's bookshelf or even a library.

A Find and Seek book for the whole family to enjoy!

I received this book from the illustrator for an honest review.

If you were a “Where’s Waldo?” fan you will love this book. I enjoy looking at puzzles and Hidden Objects games on my computer and this book is a lot like that.

The basic premise of the book is the story of the Cute family, Mom and Dad and their five children, Carissa the eldest girl, the nine-year-old twin boys, Cade and Chaz, and the twin daughters, Cammy and Cindy. Carissa is supposed to be babysitting her siblings but she usually is texting her friends, so we need to help her find them.

On each page, there is an elaborate drawing of a place and we need to find the five kids and various objects on each page. If you need help, the answers are in the back of the book. This is a beautiful book and lots of fun for a family to play together. I had a hard time finding some objects so the younger kids might need some help. I do think everyone will enjoy examining the intricate pictures and will find something new each time they look.

I really enjoyed this book and believe there are hours of fun to be had looking through it. I highly recommend this book as I think it will help develop children’s ability to digest what they are seeing and will help them build concentration skills. In addition, I think the parents and grandparents will enjoy the book just as much. Every library should find room for this treasure of a book!

Cover: Eye-catching, appears professionally done.
Illustrations: Gorgeous! Fun & I love the bold colors.
Editing/Proofing: Seems professional.
Formatting: Gorgeous, easy on the eyes -seems professionally done.

The book:
OMG - I love the Cutes! They're pretty real, unlike many fictional families! They're busy, life is chaotic.
THIS IS SO FUN!!!
I'm getting to know the Cutes and BAM - scavenger hunt!! Of course it's extra gorgeous on my iPad w/ retina display but it looks beautiful on my Kindle Fire First Gen and Kindle Fire HD too.
I'm going to have to buy this for every kid I know who has their own tablet.

This will definitely keep the little ones amused. Really neat book.
LOVE the illustration. Hating that I didn't think of this sooner ;)

In all seriousness, it looks professionally done and is fun - 5 stars.

This is honestly a awesome book. It is a find it book, and who doesn't love a find a it book. The book was actually written for kids 5 and up, which includes me I am a kid way over the age of 5 but I personally really enjoyed the book. The illustrations are very vibrant and fun.
In the book we follow the cute family as they visit different places. Each page is a different place, the zoo, the toy store, ETC There is a short blurb about the place on each page and then a list of what to find on the page a duck, a cowboy hat, ETC, some of the things a child would need a little help from an adult to find like a ying yang bathing suit, which to me insures parental involvement, and I love that!!!
I think both of the Noot's have done a AWESOME job with this book. I also have their 2nd book Festival Fun.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.

Review: FIND THE CUTES: PLAYTIME by Celestial Noot and Vincent Noot

Just a few days ago I advance-reviewed a German picture book which reminded me of the 'Where's Waldo?" series my children loved in the 1980's. Now here is a series, text by Celestial Noot, highly detailed art by Vincent Noot, about a family of 7, the Cutes: mother, father, daughter Carissa, twins Cade and Chad, twins Clammy and Cindy.

The book Instills and encourages family values, and begins a series of ten. This first book, Playtime, demonstrates the family interacting and each sharing their day's activities.

A fitting title to the cutest family of seven. The illustrations are extremely detailed. A fun new innovative and interactive game that will be sure to keep your little ones happy.

I remember, as a child playing games similar to this and they kept me occupied for hours every day. A very visually stimulating book with a back drop of interesting characters and events with wildly descriptive content throughout.

It provides interaction between parent and child with imaginative story-telling at it's best. Highly recommended.

Fun book to enjoy family time with!

This book reminds me of the Where's Waldo books. I loved them as a kid! This is a great family book to read with the kids and have fun finding all the things on the list. My son is 10 and we spent time reading together and competing on who could find the most the fastest. What a great book and I would recommend!

Overall: 5 Shining Stars!
"Find the Cutes" is a fun family book with a "Where's Waldo" approach.
First off, I have nothing bad to say about this book.

The story itself was relatable, fun, and imaginative. It starts off introducing you to the Cute Family and of course with it being a rather large modern day family, the kids can get into some trouble. With several large beautifully illustrated seek and find pages, you are to find the Cute children along with items they have lost. Now what I lOVED on these pages was everthing that is happening. As a mother of 4 children, I can completly relate to these scenarios. Each one is crowded, everyone is lost, it is hectic, children are doing crazy things, parents look as though they are about to pull their hair out...it's real life. Alright, maybe I will not allow my kids to run off away from me, however it often feels as hectic as the pages look when we go out together. This book is great for hours of family fun and your children will enjoy seeking the cutes time and time again.

I truly enjoyed this book, actually I wish my life was that eventful! Even after the kids were finished looking at the pictures, I continued trying to find the Cutes on my own. I think mothers will also enjoy that it may make you feel like your life is much more normal than you think. I'm pretty sure I found a version of me on every page.

Although some mothers may need to discuss with their children, dependant on age, is to not copy what you see. Just as we do with movies or any other stories. Explain these are fictional characters and "No, you may not ride on a ferris wheel in the toy store."

As far as ages, I think this is great for all ages. This is really a great family book, you can seek the Cutes while laughing at all the silly pictures. This is one, that no matter how many times you go through it, you still see something you didn't see before.

What a great book! Find the Cutes instantly took me back to my childhood when I would spend hours searching through the Where’s Waldo books.

Right off the bat, the detailed illustrations and color popped off the cover. It stands out from other children’s books for this very reason. Once you dive into the content, the Noot’s give you a short introduction of the characters in the story, but in a fun way. The description for Carissa, age 12, is my favorite. At this point, the reader receives its task for the book by assisting Carissa in keeping her out of trouble by searching for all of the “Cute kids.”

I really enjoyed the ending as well. Noot adds in a line toward the end that is perfect for all parents who are raising a teenager or soon-to-be teen. Carissa’s father asks her if she made any new friends. Carissa then explains that she met two kids named, Sara and Jake. Her mom immediately responds, “I want to hear all about Jake tomorrow” – nothing about Sara. Great ending! There’s a little bit for everyone in Find the Cutes, including an answer key in the back for those more difficult to find “Cutes.”

I would recommend this book to any parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle who would like to get their kids away from the television and to really challenge their young minds.

Check out Find the Cutes and buy it for your favorite child/toddler today!

Find the Cutes is an interactive find and seek book in the mindset of "Where's Waldo. It focuses on one family, mom and dad, oldest child, and two younger sets of twins. Readers are given common scenarios that include the family in settings like the playground, zoo, supermarket, birthday party, swimming pool, etc. The reader must find objects in intricately drawn illustrations. In the center of the book, the family comes together to discuss their favorite day of the week, so readers can recap their own experiences and weigh in.

The book is targeted for ages five through eighteen. Younger children will find it a bit difficult, at least on a kindle. I would recommend a computer or TV screen. This book would be an excellent choice to pass the time on a car trip or rainy day. Also a nice opportunity for younger and older siblings to work together. It is a different kind of activity book that can be used to stretch the mind and extend visual acuity.

Find the Cutes – Playtime is a fun, colorful book full of exciting illustrations. The task is to search for the characters and different objects within different settings. This develops visual scanning skills. These skills are vital for everyday tasks such as quickly finding a number in a phone directory, a bus/train/plane in timetables, a specific TV program etc. Thus Find the Cutes – Playtime is not only good for kids. Adults would definitely benefit from it too. The answer pages to the tasks are at the end of the book.

There are short stories within this vibrant book that bring the characters to life as well as play on something we all love and enjoy; storytelling. These appealing stories can be read to kids as bedtime stories or used as reading practice for certain age groups.

Find the Cutes book 1: Playtime, written by Celestial Noot and illustrated and edited by Vincent Noot, is an activity book for children along the lines of ‘Where’s Waldo?’ It has an interesting story and Mad Magazine style illustrations that in a larger format offers hours of diversion for young readers.
While I think this would be a great book in large format paperback, or for larger tablet readers, on Kindle-sized readers, the pictures and text were too small to be easily read.
Other than that, though, this is a great diversion for your young ones on a rainy day, and with its family-focused message offers excellent life lessons.

This is a delightful book, which must have taken hours and hours of diligent work to produce. The graphics are fantastic, bright and colourful and complex.

A wonderful 'interactive' book for young children (although adults would enjoy the fun of it), beautifully created alongside words of wisdom.

Recommended fun.

Could be better

It is a cute story but on my kindle it was hard to see the pictures to find the objects, maybe on a device with a bigger screen it would be better and a lot more fun. So I could not give 5 stArs but also did not think it was fair to give fewer since the main complaint could have been my device

Do Not

The content of this book is great, love the concept. This story is cute and puzzles look like fun yet this book is NOT great for a kindle version. At least for the kindle 10. We tried everything to enlarge text to see puzzles and clues at no avail.
Plan on getting a handheld edition since it looks very fun.
