♾️⭐️ processing 😭😭😭😭

__________ (it’s now November and I’m realizing I never came back around to write a full review)

The curse of Ophelia as a series has meant so much to me and is one of my favorite series of all time. Legacy was absolutely incredible - everything I could have ever wanted & more!!! The way it ties back to book 1 and brings everything back together so perfect. The characters and the romance absolutely jump off of the page amongst an incredibly complex and well-executed plot. The world building continues to build throughout the entire series so seamlessly, which is so hard to achieve without feeling choppy or pulling the reader out of the story & I have never once felt that way with Nicole’s writing.

Ophelia is one of the best FMCs ever. Her sacrifice and willingness to do anything for the people she loves and for her world. She’s so cunning and SMART and I never once question her judgment.

Malakai continued to SHINE in this book even more than the others and I just couldn’t have loved it more. Without giving anything away, his character was MEANT for this journey and I loved the ending so much.

TOLEK OBVIOUSLY 😭😭😭 I just love him. Also one of my favorite MMCs of all time. The yearning and devotion is unmatched and he is still so strong and smart as a warrior without EVER overstepping Ophelia.

Cyph & Vale are everything, as always !!!!! And I NEED MORE RINA & LANCASTER NOW PLS!!!! (A spinoff?????)

Nicole Platania is incredible and I will read everything she ever writes. If THIS is her debut series and this is how she closes an epic story for her FIRST SERIES?……. I am so sat for all other worlds to come 💗

until the stars stop shining 💗 apeagna ♾️ !!!!!!

excuse me while i sob and remain in denial that this series is over 😭😭😭

the curse of ophelia is a SOUL series. one where the characters become your family and their journey is one you feel like you ventured right alongside them.

Nicole is a master of epic worldbuilding and character arcs. never in a million years did i expect the things in Legacy to come about, and yet here we are 😭

this was most epic way to wrap up a fantasy series, while also feeling so perfectly paced and balanced. Legacy follows the entire gang across their journeys back to finding each other, and never once was i confused or lost. the romance arcs will make your heart ache and tears overflow 😭 mythology fans will feel sooooo fed, as Legacy hugely expands what we know about the angels and gods (screams).

this world has so much potential and i’m SO excited for what’s to come. saying goodbye to ophelia and the gang might just institutionalize me, but i know they’ll always have such a special place in my heart… infinitely 🤍🪽

how do I continue on knowing that this series is over? I’ll never get new content about my core ten characters 😭

I’m not sure how Nicole did it but this story felt like I was reading Kingdom of Ash. It had non stop action, twists that I didn’t see coming, I cried both happy and sad tears, I covered my mouth in shock, I paced around my house. I…am without words.

The lore, the magic, the gods, the angels…it was EVERYTHING.

Writing this review feels so emo and I don’t wanna do it because this series and these characters will live with me forEVER. TCOO is for the epic romantic fantasy girlies. The ones who love a headstrong female lead, gorgeous love confessions, multiple characters to fall for, and some of the best found family.

This also is the end of an era for Nicole, wrapping up her debut series. I knew her when she was just another bookstagrammer and cannot even get over the immense amount of gratitude I have for being able to be a part of her journey. I can’t wait to see what’s next (hehe jk I know and have already read it and y’all are gonna lose your MINDS)

Anyway this book is out on August 7 so get reading can catch up!!! It’ll change your life I promise!!!

Thank you to the author for an eARC.

MADE IT.

I miss the era of longer series and I loved that this has five books (+ a novella) with so many characters to love and appreciate. Each book was genuinely solid. NP crafted an incredible world with an amazing magic system and storylines I was deeply attached to reading.

I won’t go into much detail here because I don’t want to lead into any spoilers. But I’ll be CLEAR, you should absolutely read this series. Especially if you’ve been chasing the high of Throne of Glass ever since you finished the series. It is in no way a copycat, it just has the vibes in all the best ways.

The length of this one got to me a little bit (which could have been a mood thing so take that with a grain of salt). Otherwise, I don’t have any complaints. I loved seeing where all of these pairs ended up, there were so many memorable, soul-binding scenes and the antagonist got their due. The roller coaster of emotions was stellar. I can’t wait to read NP’s next series.

Overall audience notes:
- Fantasy Romance
- Language: mild – moderate
- Romance: 4-5ish open door
- Violence: high
- Content notes: abuse (mental/emotional), loss of loved ones, mild blood/gore, torture, assault, PTSD

This was a great ending to a beautiful series. I love these characters so deeply and it has been such a joy to sit alongside them throughout this journey. If you're looking for a series that actually ties up all the loose ends.. look no further. This story was so well done and I can't wait to see what Nicole gives us next.

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. This review is voluntary & honest.

Don’t mind me while I play “How am I supposed to live without you” in the background because how am I supposed to keep going now that this series is over? I cannot believe this series has come to an end. It is such a bittersweet feeling & it has hit me right in the heart. I have been a supporter of this series since the very first book & I fell in love with the series more and more with each book. And when I tell you Nicole did an incredible job with this final installment in the series, I 100% mean it.

Ophelia is a character that you want to fight the world for because you know she has been through ENOUGH already & need her to have her happily ever after. The fates have not been kind to her & the weight that was put on her shoulders due to meddling gods & angels was honestly CRUEL. It was on sight with all of them. But honestly, she handled every twist & turn so well, despite the pain they would cause her. And I could not have been prouder of her by the end of this book. I truly adore her & would immediately go on this journey all over again with her for the first time if I could.

Tolek, the love of my life & the man would protect from everyone & everything forever. I seriously talk about this man to my closest friends constantly & I always say I adore him with my whole heart. This man is the greenest flag & has golden retriever vibes, but he will also go against the world & win for those he loves. He has so much love to give & is a loyal brother, partner & friend. His inner strength is awe-inspiring & his mind may become a dark place at times, but it is also still absolutely beautiful. Through every struggle, there was never a doubt in my mind when it came to Tolek. I am incredibly proud of him.

Malakai, the man with a painful past that has overcome all struggles & pain he has experienced. In this book, we see him continue to fight for his loved ones, to see all the tomorrows to come & to finally experience peace. His journey has been a beautiful one & one that brings tears to my eyes because I am also so proud of him. He is a character that deserves to see all the tomorrows he yearns for and to be loved deeply & loudly for who he is. The ending to his story was absolutely perfect & I mean it when I say I want to give him all the hugs in the world. He is another character I would defend from everything & everyone!

Every single member of this found family is absolutely loved. Cypherion, Vale, Jezebel, Santorina, you guys are all incredible & this series would not have been the same without any of you. Lancaster, Erista, Mila, Dax, Barrett, I absolutely adore you guys. Lyria, you will forever be an absolutely legend that is loved. We can always guarantee Nicole will write characters that we will absolutely love, regardless of whether they are main or side characters.

I recommend this series to absolutely everyone, because I can guarantee this is one you will adore. And this book will forever hold a place in my heart. Regardless of the stress & emotional damage experience, I absolutely loved it. I will seriously love this series and its characters until the stars stop shining. So if you haven’t read this book or series already, definitely give it a read! 🥹🪽💛

I can't believe The Curse of Ophelia series is over!! Screaming, crying, and throwing up because what do you mean I'll never get to experience this series for the first time again?!

The amount of times I cried reading this series was justified to be honest. I've had about a day to sit with my thoughts before I came to write this review and I still can't form the words and complete thoughts about how this series made me feel. I think Nicole gave these characters an epic conclusion and her storytelling is off the charts. Had so much fun crashing out to her in her instagram DMs.

I picked this series up because one of my best friends wanted me to read it, and I'm so glad I did because I love it so much. The world building, the romances (YES there are multiple), and the found family found in this series was everything to me!!!! I'm going to talk about these books for a very long time.

I love this family infinitely, until the stars stop shining <3

It’s been a couple of hours since I’ve finished and I am still processing my roller coaster of emotions. I don’t know how many times I cried throughout the book, and then I reached part 4 and I was a sobbing mess. While I am sad that it is over I am happy to say this book brought everything together to give the reader closure.

Now to all the beautiful characters that I will miss so much 😭 Nicole through all 5 books showed us the progress, healing, and love of not just one but all of her characters. It was all so beautifully written and meaningful such that she stayed true to her characters while also showing growth.

The storyline kept me entertained until the very end and I am happy to hear this is not the end of Gallantia. The world is so intricate and everything came together in the end putting together all the puzzle pieces of all books. I want to immediately go back and catch any Easter eggs I missed in the previous books.

NOWW THERE IS SO MUCH I WISH TO DISCUSS BUT THIS REVIEW WOULD BE 10 PARAGRAPHS LONG. All of the love confessions and ceremonies were everything we could have asked for. From ck to vale, Barrett to Dax, Ophelia to Tolek, Mila to Malakai, Rina to Lancaster, Jeze to Erista I AM HAPPY FOR ALL THE MOMENTS I GOT TO SEE FROM MY FAVORITE COUPLES. But even more I was so happpy to see them all together as a family interacting. In the dark moments finding laughter and a home in each other. My favorite moments were those when they came together to put the pieces together and brainstorm. It showed how much they all needed each other and I will always eat up a good found family trope.

THAT ENDING!!?!? Malakai has had my heart since the curse of Ophelia when we barely saw him. Seeing his journey from the beginning to now is making me tear up just thinking about it now. His path towards healing and choosing peace and himself was so beautifully written.

Ophelia my queen! The most selfless revered ready to give up everything for the people she loves most. She truly is a leader who deserves the world. Her and Malakai’s journey from the beginning to now was one of the most special things about the series for me. Anyways I can go on and on and talk about every character but I will not 😭 I will probs go back and reread very soon !!!

I have finished this series after being fully invested for a year and a half and my heart feels free.

The BEAUTY of this world, these characters, the story, the message. Nicole Plantania has created something special.

This series is complex, layered, full of foreshadowing, and lets the reader experience a full range of emotions.

This final installment in The Curse of Ophelia series gives the reader everything they ever could have wanted. Loose ends tied, wishes granted, revenge galore.

Every character was the more pure version of themselves and getting to see all of them finally come into themselves after watching them all grow for 4 books (and a novella) was truly special.

This series will be near and dear to me, and will be one that I'll always recommend if you're looking for a great, powerful, epic Romantasy with love stories for the ages.

overall: recommend

This book destroyed me, and then put me back together again. The way Nicole was able to wrap up this series was masterful. She is a literal genius when it comes to storytelling, and the ending that she gave us felt like everything it needed to be. This book had me absolutely FIENDING. I literally could not put it down. Very thankful I was able to get my hands on the ARC and I’ll continue to fiend for more books written by Nicole!!

This last book really read so easily! The different couples and POV's were so nice and actually a plus. One thing for me is that the slow burn between S&L could have sparked a bit more. It had me kicking my feet as you felt it coming but then there was a little Spark and it sizzlef out I felt like.
Also after the whole books where we get the explanations on a silver platter the ending felt a bit more rushed without the proper explanations. But maybe this was intentional of the writer to start a spinoff series, who knows? But definitely worth the read if you want world building, strong male and female characters with the proper character development and some magical abilities.

What an ending to a beautiful series. I am so glad I picked this off my never ending TBR after a year of putting it off.

This series is so absolutely positively GREAT. The found family and the love and the sacrifices throughout the entire story has been some of the very best. The relationships (platonic and spicy) are some of the best I've read in a very long time. This book series is a mixture of TOG and Lies of Lena with Gods and Angels leading the charge. It's incredible and I will for sure be picking it up again and doing a full re-read just so I can read about Ophelia and Tolek over and over again. I gush over them, TOP book couple and Tolek has earned his way into my top 5 book boyfriends.

I'll probably spoil a few things ahead as I decompress from this series... just a warning.

So, at first when I opened the book I was so scared we were going to have to wait long for the reunions to happen. I was slightly disappointed that we didn't get much healing or conversations between Malikai and Ophelia through their time together trapped in with the Angels and the God. But, the ease in their friendship came through as they were exploring a way out of all this mess. It was really a testament to their character how they've both moved on from being the young kids they were in the beginning of this series. It was almost poetic how quickly they found their paths while being trapped but also their devotion to each other's safety and the ease of that.

I absolutely loved Malikai's realizations within his journey through his grief and PTSD and how he always came back to Mila and the promised tomorrows. The tomorrow's he WANTED to live for. The strength he found inside of himself to keep moving every day with the knowledge that it wouldn't be perfect, but it was enough to want to live. Wow, incredible. I was absolutely ugly crying at his sacrifices in the end. I didn't want to believe it. And throughout all the this book the realizations that Ophelia had over Malikai and how he was always the one sacrificing and protecting the future and happiness of everyone else. It was only bound to happen that he did that in the end. GOD I was a mess at this.

And do NOT even get me started on Tolek and Ophelia. My one and only hope in closing out this series was that she would be able to see what he always had been writing in his journals and I was screaming and crying when she found the letters he'd wrote her throughout the years in his old room and his proclamations of his love to her even all those years ago. God I am absolutely obsessed with them!

This series is 1000% worth the investment to read. It has it ALL. And this last book was a testament to the LOVE this entire cast of characters had toward one another and how they wouldn't stop until they all got their tomorrow. And what joy it was to be a part of that journey with them.

Brava to Nicole, BRAVA! She deserves any and all praise that comes to her for this beautiful, though provoked story.

Stay True. This is not the last time I will be reading this magnificent story. Until the stars stop shining (sobbing).

Thank you to the realm studios and Nicole platania for the gifted arc!! I love this series with my whole heart, and it has been such a joy to watch Nicole’s writing and characters grow from the first book. This series was genuinely so unique and totally unlike anything I’ve ever read, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology while still being its own story. With each book, the story became so much more complex, and this book really did the series justice. There’s nothing I love more than a good final battle scene, and we got an absolutely amazing one with this book. The stakes were high and you still didn’t really know who to trust, which had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Please read this series if you’re looking for a unique fantasy with MULTIPLE amazing romantic subplots, the best found family, complex world building, and lots of messy politics and meddling angels. This is such a bittersweet end, but I can’t wait to see what Nicole does next

I received an ARC, but this review is honest and voluntary.

What an epic conclusion to a truly fantastic series. The Curse of Ophelia series continued to grow the world and the lore, all for it to come to a head in The Legacy of Ophelia. I am in awe of the way Platania continued to weave the threads and connect all the dots.

The Legacy of Ophelia has everything you want in an epic fantasy. It has the world building and lore. It even left the door open for so many potential spin offs from this world/universe, and I can't wait to see what she builds next. The entire series also has epic romances, yes multiple romances. They are all so unique and beautiful in their own ways that it's nearly impossible to choose a favorite.

My jaw is still on the floor from this book. I laughed. I cried. My heart broke and healed, and I can say this will forever be a Roman Empire series for me.

What a great ending to a fantastic series! I can’t believe it’s over but wow what a crazy ride and adventure from the first book to the last. I have been an arc reader and street team member from the beginning so I have loved being a part of each release and here to help support Nicole.

This book was action packed from the first page. Picking up where the previous book left off I was so nervous and excited after that wild ending. These characters have been put through the wringer and now with the angels officially here everything is even crazier. I loved they we finally learn the full history and lore with angels as well as our main characters lineage and true purpose. So many things come to light and we really get so many fantastic connections that circle back to the beginning. Nicole did a great job of this by giving us multi pov following all of the now core group we have followed throughout the series. Usually I don’t enjoy lots of pov but in this book it worked perfectly. Nothing felt rushed and we get the needed time for everything to develop and make sense.

The action and magic was incredible and the final battle was one of my favorite to read about! We get to see all of our favorite characters come to their full potential and play such a large role in this fight against the angels. It was a great final battle that I couldn’t stop reading. Nicole wrapped everything up perfectly and I was so satisfied with the ending of this series. I cried and laughed, I was giddy at times, and at times so scared for the characters. And for me that’s what I look for in a book. I want to go through all the emotions right with the characters and really connect with them. And with this series you definitely will!

I will forever recommend this series to fans of epic fantasy, Greek mythology, and strong female characters. I’m sad this series is over but I’m so excited to see what comes next from this world!

& with the final page swipe, The Curse of Ophelia series has come to an end & what a beautiful ending! But not without all the emotions — love, fear, excitement, betrayal, peace, wonder, heartbreak & hope!

Nicole is a mastermind from Curse to Legacy, connecting each person, couple and book perfectly together to the overarching storyline for one epic conclusion!

All the introductions, world building, myths, lore, meddling angels and gods, battles and politics came to light in Legacy as we followed the found family on their destined paths.

This series and characters will infinitely hold a special place in my heart until the stars stop shining.

Thank you so much to Nicole for the gifted ARC and sharing your genius, creative mind with us!

BRB, still processing the fact that I’m done with this series and won’t get to spend more time with these characters. Nicole Platania wrapped up this novel beautifully, delivering an ending that felt both satisfying and bittersweet. True to her style, the book had a slow start, but once it picked up, it absolutely sprinted to the finish, pulling me along with every emotion. I love these characters so much and the way this story explored themes of legacy, healing, and vulnerability. Now that it’s over, I’m honestly not sure what to do with myself.

A truly phenomenal end to the series. These characters have my entire book (the white hairs I gained during this read...) and I am sad to see them go. They will hold a special spot and I look forward to rereading the series at some point to pick up on everything I missed through my first read

I secretly hope we see cameos from the characters in Nicole Platania's future work...but also they deserve happiness.

And so comes an end of an era✨
I was so lucky to be on this ride of a series since before Shards of Ophelia came out & the fact that the final book is out this Thursday really makes me want to sob😭
The Legacy of Ophelia was one of the most perfect finales I’ve ever read. The threads woven throughout all of these books only to be tied together in this last installment were immaculate✨Nicole did a FANTASTIC job👏🏻💖

Ophelia & her gang have been THROUGH it in the last book and this one was no exception😭 The plot & tension kept building & building making me simply fly through this book. It simultaneously made me not want to stop reading while also had me trying to hold on for as long as I could with these characters🥹
This world is one of the coolest fantasy worlds I’ve ever read!! The lore, magic & world building were perfection as always✨
The romances are some of my favorite, each couple we get have such a unique dynamic to them, I love so many different things about each🥹

Being the last book in the series I’m being completely spoiler free of course but just know that this series is perfection & these characters will be sticking with me forever & ever😭🥹
Thank you Nicole for letting me ARC read this series, your writing , characters, & worlds you create I adore, I cannot WAIT to see all that comes next💫
The Legacy of Ophelia comes out this coming Thursday, don’t miss it🫶🏻

ARC REVIEW

♾️ stars for this book and this series HANDS DOWN.

Nicole has beautifully brought the series to a close in an epic finale that does justice to both the characters and the plot. Considering the crew is so large, this is no easy feat! I am in awe of how intricate all the breadcrumbs have been throughout the books to the point that my jaw is permanently on the floor.

There were so many beautiful moments that were intimate between characters - not just romantic, but with friendship, allies, and within themselves. I shed too many tears to count and know that it is justified - Nicole’s characters are all deep and all bring something important to the story and to the core crew.

The plot feels large with myths, gods, and angels, yet Nicole provides it in a digestible format that leaves the reader satisfied without confusion. She also sets up multiple realms and knowing that her next series is somehow tied to this world has been desperate to know more!

Although the series is over, this is definitely one that I will reread endlessly. The ending is satisfying and there is true justice for everyone.

✨The Legacy of Ophelia✨

How do you even truly write a review for the finale of an epic 5 book series? Especially one of Nicole’s caliber that is FULL of intricate world building, plot, and prose. There’s so much at stake. So much to learn. So much love. So much rage.

We begin Legacy right where we left off and it is the ending we have all needed and yearned for since book one. Nicole took such deliberate and gentle care with these characters as the stakes are higher than ever, hope is wavering, bonds are accepted and broken, and the paths to success are few. There’s so much heartache and joy and healing and loss. I knew Nicole would give us a beautiful ending, but this was perfection. She held me by the edge of my seat the whole time. And with so many POVs, we are never left wanting as to what is going on with our found family and the ROMANCE. *swoon* 👩‍🍳💋

If you are looking for a legendary Romantasy series that is equal parts plot and romance, you’ll live for this. It’s spicy, it’s full of mythology and magic and winged beings, the men are sooooooo to die for, the women are so strong and loving. It’s just… I’m just going to say, “amazing. amazing job, Nicole. I’m so proud of you. Congratulations!”

Legacy releases August 7. Books 1,2,3,3.5, and 4 are all out now and on KU. So, don’t shelve this on your TBR. Go read it now!

What a whirlwind of an ending to such an intricately planned out series!

This last book was devastating, heartbreaking, real, raw, and everything it needed to be. All the puzzle pieces finally fell into place and showcase that everything happens for a reason- exactly how the Fates destined.

I really loved how Nicole wrapped up the storylines to our various characters and couples so beautifully, and even left the door open to explore more in this world in a later series. The found family aspect of this series has always been my favorite and it was beautifully executed in TLOO.

And the epilogues- so,so good! Forever a Tolek and Ophelia fan and think this was a beautiful ending to not only their story, but everyone else as well.
