About the author

Valerie started to write several years ago. She self-published eight crime novels and one psychological thriller before signing a two book contract with Bookouture in March 2018. The first of these, Secrets Between Us, is available now and the second is due in Feb 2019. She is a registered nurse with a degree in English and a Masters in American Literature. Recently she has given up nursing to concentrate on her writing career.

This has to be about the worst book ever written. Totally predictable, utterly boring!! The only reason I finished it was to meet my reading challenge. It is touted as “unputtabledown” which I dare say is not a word. It did lure me in to reading the book but I can’t see how anyone would ever rate this book a 4. Just horrible!

Really enjoyable thriller about twins. Ellie and Will are not likeable characters. Self interested rich entitled people. Tia is an inconvenience to them. I love all of this author’s stories but this was very predictable. I liked the ending though. Justice prevailed in its own way. Denise x

Valerie Keogh’s “The Sister,” narrated by the phenomenal Rose Robinson, is a devious thriller that grabbed me by the throat and never let go. This duo has done it again – crafting a story with nonstop twisty-turns and surprises. How do they do it every time? Keogh’s writing is sharp, Robinson’s narration is exquisite and together they're a winning combo. I have accumulated quite an Audible collection by Keogh and Robinson and for good reason. I’m anxiously waiting for more. The story of twin sisters Ellie and Tia is ominous, complex and utterly captivating. Ellie's got the perfect life, but Tia's return dips into secrets and shadows from their past. Is Tia seeking revenge, connection, or truth? You'll be racing to the end as I was. I highly recommend this pulse-pounding thriller about secrets, sisters and the darkness that binds. I cannot stress it enough – well worth a credit, however I struck gold and bought this treasure for $12.98. Robinson and Keogh have a fantastic collaborative vibe. Epic, indeed!
