'Characters you'll come to love and a story that keeps you turning the page.' Rosie Goodwin

THE SIXTH BOOK IN THE MUCH-LOVED DOVER CAFE WWII SAGA SERIES

September 1941. The war is closing in on every shore. For Marge, Dover doesn't feel like home anymore - and her long-awaited transfer is her ticket out. But freedom comes with a catch. Whisked away to a shadowy outpost in Folkestone, she joins an elite group of Wrens chosen for "The Game," a top-secret wargame that could turn the tide against the deadly U-boats prowling the Atlantic.

Marge is determined to make her mark - until she learns her commanding officer is Captain Tom the man she swore she'd never face again. A man who destroyed her family. One wrong move, and her future in the service could sink before it's even begun.

Back in Dover, Nellie is trapped in a dangerous bargain. Allowing Lou Carter to stash black-market contraband in her café basement seemed harmless enough - until dangerous men start showing up and whispers ripple through the neighbourhood. The walls are closing in, and the Castle family's most dangerous secrets may be about to surface.

Two women. Two battles. One war that could tear everything apart.

Don't miss the seventh book in the Dover Cafe series, coming 2027. And the first five books in the Dover Cafe series, The Dover Cafe at War, The Dover Cafe on the Front Line, The Dover Cafe Under Fire, Return to the Dover Cafe and The Dover Cafe on Trial. All available now.

Book 6 of Dover Cafe

This series gets better with each new book. This time, we get Marge's story. The characters are well-developed in this well-written series. This is one of those series you don't want to end. There is a dark subject matter near the end of the book that could be quite upsetting for some readers.

Wow Nellie Castle and her family and friends have a lot going on in this sixth book in this fabulous series. Unfortunately for Nellie some of her children still aren’t speaking to her after the court case. Nellie is heartbroken to know that her young granddaughter is at the garage with Edie and there’s no chance of her seeing her. Marge fed up with Rodney has left Dover with the wrens and ends up in Folkestone, but things don’t go smoothly for her when she finds herself having to work with Tom Bennett the man that destroyed her sister Katy’s life, and also that of herself and her parents. Lou gets Nellie into unthinkable trouble when she calls in a favour. Will this favour put all the Castles at risk? There is lots going on for these great characters and you will not want to put the book down. As usual Ginny leaves us wanting more but unfortunately we have to wait until 2027 for book seven.

The latest instalment of life at the cafe with the Castles is as always filled with excitement, love, and heartbreak. Nellie is caught up in something she can't control, but with threats made against her grandchildren, what can she do? The result is a roller coaster of a story that's hard to put down!!
