I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, I still live there as well as in Dublin, Ireland. I've been a soldier, freelance journalist, tended bar, sold designer cakes, owned a painting and decorating company along with a number of other schemes and scams. If that doesn't offend you I also play bagpipes with the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band. All my books stand alone, read them in whatever order you wish. They are filled with the sort of oddballs we are all curious about, but wisely, prefer to keep at a distance. None of my characters will be saving the world from terrorism, international banking conspiracies or coups to take over the government. Rather, they inhabit a world just below the surface of polite society, characters with one foot on either side of the law. The circumstances they find themselves in are usually due to bad decisions, but bad decisions lead to interesting stories. They serve not so much as an example but as a warning to us all. Thanks for taking the time, happy reading.

US Marshal Jack Dillon assigned to Dublin, Ireland’s An Garda Síochána and his partner, DI Paddy Suel, finish a series of investigations. The promise of a break dematerializes when their boss, DCI McCabe, asks them to check with his niece who was dealing with a fraudster at the university where she is employed. His niece tells the pair a distressing story of being repeatedly raped by a wealthy individual who seems to be above the law. The investigation uncovers a wide swath of crimes, but the bad guy remains untouchable, until Dillon and Suel’s diligence pays off.

Don’t let the number put you off, the Dillon series is designed so it can be read out of order. The author does a good job of providing the necessary backstory so the reader doesn’t feel left out or lost.

While this was a harder read than normal, due to the topic, it was still a pleasure to ride along with Dillon as he juggled giving DCI McCabe just enough information to keep him from exploding and honoring Molly’s wishes that the investigation be discreet. I enjoy this series because there’s a good mix of police work, office politics, and personal life. I know when I see a Dillon book that I’m generally in for an entertaining trip. I eagerly await the next installment in this series.

A real page turner!

I love anything Mike writes.
This page turner is filled with secrets and threats that forever changes the life of everyone.
A devious man who thinks he’s above the law.
His lackeys do the deadly deeds as he gets away with murder, rape, blackmail all while raking in serious cash and fooling corporations with his hefty donations.
Dillion and Suel work against time to bring justice and peace to those whose lives were destroyed by this notorious man.
I stayed up reading until the end.
Five stars for Mike Faricy.

As usual, this copper duo is great. A one sitting read since once begun no way I could stop until the bad guys apprehended. Mike Faricy, please say there will be another Dillon before too long.

This was supposed to be an easy gig as a reward for all their hard work. Investigate a robbery at McCabe's niece's house. That's not what she wants investigate, but what can they about a billionaire, well respected community member?

Fantastic

I loved this book. The twists kept coming. Dillon and Suel are handed an "easy" case and it completely changes quickly.
