Set in Ghostlight Falls, the coolest fictional small town in the Pacific Northwest, Twi-Flight is a standalone cozy paranormal not-quite-a-vampire romance with a mysterious MMC with super human strength and a sharp bite, and FMC who is determined to learn all his secrets. It is a novella with wholesome Hallmark movie vibes and a good amount of steam.
All the twilight references in this were hilarious. I loved how hard Mina was trying to turn Eggward into Edward. It was silly, sweet, and fun. Mina had some self-esteem issues, specifically relating to her intelligence because of her dyslexia and dyscalculia and I thought Eggward’s responses to her self doubt were lovely. Eggward had his own low self esteem, but the supported each other and made a new home.
Spice: 2/5
Triggers: alcoholism (past, parent), parent death (past), discussion of poor school performance and subsequent bullying, brief near bicycle x pedestrian x chicken collision, blood and blood drinking, poor body image (MMC)
This short and sweet little addition to the Ghostlight Falls series was so much fun. I laughed out loud at the sheer ridiculousness of this, and that’s what made it so great. Cantrip explores the age-old question, “What if in Twilight, Edward was a chicken instead of a vampire. And you know what, it works! This was so creative and silly, and I absolutely loved it.
-human fmc returning to town as an adult -dark and brooding mmc with a secret -he protects her and claims her -she loves everything about him
Another 5 star read from the Ghostlight Falls series!
This books gets 3 stars because it was 75 pages and absolutely absurd.
This is the kind of parody romance book I can get behind. It knows exactly how short it needed to be. It was corny and silly and just a fun little treat when I didn’t feel like starting something new.
Note: this is an ARC review. The opinions are entirely my own.
This one had me at the trigger warning “cloaca kiss”. I wasn’t sure what that would entail, but I was so ready to find out. This is a short and sweet story with big Twlight vibes, but wayyyy more silly and I ate it up. The story is probably a 4.5 but I rounded up because he made me literally laugh hysterically multiple times (in a good way)!
I didn’t love that Mina is so self deprecating, but EGGWARD is a solid MMC who always said the right things. I’d honestly love more of this story and learn more about these amazing chickens. Team Eggward all day babyyyyy!
I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to explain how much I loved this book, but I'll do my best! I loved all the references throughout (hang on, little chickadee had me SCREAMING) but that it also was its own unique story. Eggward and Mina were so cute together, and I'm gonna need some sort of follow up to see what's next for them Eggclipse? Cracking Eggs maybe? Seriously, if you're a rattie you are going to love this one!
I absolutely love this installment of ghostlight falls! It's mushy love with some spice. The FMC is so relatable and normal, I completely forgot that the MMC is a chicken with how normal it felt.
I laughed so much at how ridiculous this was but it was short and fun! At the end of it all, Eggward is just a chicken that has trust issues and Mina is completely oblivious to what creatures are in Ghostlight Falls! They work together well.
Not the oddest parody of Twilight I've read but one of the funniest. It's Twilight, but with chickens, and if you're familiar with the original you'll be giggling at all the references.
Another great story from Ghostlight Falls. I love the quirky chickens and Eggward is so sweet and brooding as Mina is determined. A little spicy and a lot of fun
How can you not appreciate a parody of a series of books featuring sparkling vampires where the characters are now gallinaceous birds?
I enjoyed the humor and references in this novella that have been adapted to the world of gallinaceans. Mina is as naive as another FMC whose name ends with the same letter when it comes to what’s going on around her, which makes it all the more entertaining.
If you want to have a good time and have fun at the same time, then Twi-Flight is for you.
Many thanks to Luna Cantrip for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Twi-Flight. This review is my own. All opinions expressed are mine.

This was a fun novella that focused on Eggward and Mina. She’s back in Ghostlight Falls after not having been around since her childhood summers. She’s wants to stay. Wants to feel like she has a reason to be there.
Meeting Eggward gives her purpose. She feels passion and purpose when she is helping him with his chicken rescue. And she is drawn towards him. Even though she doesn’t know what he looks like. Eggward is secretive but protective over Mina. He doesn’t want to scare her off. But eventually shares his secrets with her.
Mina has two friends from childhood that she has reconnected with but things feel different and she’s not sure how to move past the secrets they all have. But as things develop the truth comes out. And it brings clarity and understanding. I didn’t love the ending interaction with Jace. It felt a little rushed and I would have liked a bigger lead up or a more fleshed out conclusion.
But the story was fun and emotional. I really enjoyed the quick read and being is Ghostlight Falls for a little longer.
I received an ARC for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Mina has recently arrived back in Ghostlight Falls and is taken with the mysterious Eggware, who runs the chicken rescue. Is he, as she believes, a brooding, sexy vampire, or something else?
Both Mina and Eggward suffer from low self-esteem, but they managed to help each other find happiness. Mina’s friend Lucy caught my attention though - we need to hear more from her!
This is a silly little story with lots of vampire nods, for those who know. If you’re into chickens and vampires this is the story for you. I found the writing style witty and silly. The fast paced story keeps you engaged and there are moments that you don’t expect, keeping you entertained.
My favourite thing about Twi-Flight though, is the vampire references. As a die hard vampire fiction fan I loved the nods to Dracula and Twilight, from the story name to character actions. It just added to the silliness of the story, in the best kind of way!
Twi-Flight is a cute, silly story with a touch of spice and a light spot of horror. This adventure in Ghostlight Falls is for people who love monster romance with light comedy and spice - a great starter for the genre.
Growing up on Mel Brooks movies prepared me to love this goofy story with my entire being. It was everything I needed in a quick read, honestly. Hit my funny bone in all the best places. I have been loving my vacation through Ghostlight Falls and this stop left me beyond satisfied.
All of the names being references to either 🐀✨ or Dracula was one of my favorite parts. Mina, Lucy, Eggward🥚✨, Alice, Esme, ahhhhh I was so happy with each one that made their way in. From the beginning to the end this had me giggling with just how funny the delivery was. "She died like she lived, an idiot." relatable 😂😂😂💀 The story was so much fun and it fit in perfectly with what to expect from this town. I was giggling, kicking my feet, excited for the mysteriousness of Eggward, and so SO happy at the end. "You, me, and the chickens. Forever." Yes sir! 😭😍🐓
I just want to give an honorable mention to the cloaca aspect. It's something I'm not even ashamed to admit I want more of 👀🥵🥵🥵🤷
Words cannot ever truly describe the absolute chaos this book is. Like, I don’t even know what I just read but I was entertained, confused, and cackling all at once.
So here’s the deal: she thinks he’s a vampire for half the book. Spoiler.. he’s not. He’s… a chicken. Yes. A literal chicken man. And somehow we go from vampire vibes to poultry realness to bedroom scenes that had me putting my Kindle down like, “oh no they didn’t.” But oh yes, they did and shaking my head and googling things because.. I had to confirm somethings
I side-eyed this book so hard my eyeballs nearly got stuck, then I laughed, then I cringed, then I laughed again and accepted that this is Ghostlight Falls energy unhinged, ridiculous, and I absolutely love it for that.
Wild? Yup. Absolutely wild. Would I recommend? Also yup, because sometimes chaos is exactly what you need.
Luna Cantrip knocks it out of the park with this super sweet and spicy tale of a human girl and her someone special set in the paranormal town of Ghostlight Falls.
Mina returns to the quirky town she spent summers in as a child. She’s sleeping on a friend’s couch and working part time at the grocery store but struggling to find her path until a chance meeting with Eggmund, a mysterious caped male, leads to her working at a magical chicken rescue.
Surrounded by more-than-they-seem size characters and future-telling chickens, these two dance around each other before they finally collide. I won’t spoil the reveal of exactly what Eggmund! I don’t want to ruin the fun - read and find out!
Loved these characters and the way Eggmund supports Mina and demands that she think better of herself.
I never knew I’d be into chicken Twilight but my god am I here for it. This seamlessly blended into the Ghostlight Falls world. I was laughing so hard through most of this book between organic dialogue and the cheeky Twilight Easter eggs.
Eggward is such a cinnamon roll, he’s so down bad and I love it. Mina is so relatable, seeing her mental health struggles and how everyone is trying so hard to help her was so validating. Alice might be my favorite side character, she’s extra sassy for not speaking a word. The romance was so fluffy and cute. It felt like meeting your first crush in real life.
I also really appreciate the descriptions because spicy time made much more sense with how detailed Luna’s writing is. I could mentally picture every piece of Eggward and the whole farm. I am so happy I picked this book up.
