I loved this book! It has everything you could want. fighting, kidnapping and sex.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Linda Blacker
This is what urban fantasy romance should be. A little bit dark, a little bit dangerous, and a whole lot of playful banter, seduction, and old world angst clashing with new world concepts. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Amazon Review

I really enjoyed this book. It's not very often that I read paranormal fantasy books, but this book definitely changed my mind about the genre. Vampire So Vengeful is a follow up to book 1 in the Boston Vampire series. What I enjoyed most about this book is the fact that it wasn't just a romance, but it involved a plot seeking revenge for Antoine's entombment and retaking what was rightfully his. It also went in depth in how Cally was able to find her own power as a witch. The action and fighting sequences were easy to picture in my mind as I was reading. I also liked the fact that was Antoine is a French vampire living in Boston. It added a sort of elegance to the story.

I'll be honest when I say that I have not read the first book, but this book had me so interested in what will happen to Eve and Gabe. Because of this, I will definitely be reading the entire series once the third book comes out next year.

Quotes that stuck with me throughout the book were:

"Free will is walking away whenever you want. You can't now."

"You have to understand. To them - to us - you represent a hope, a weapon, a chance to fight back that we so badly need. Your value is beyond comparison."

"Submission given is meaningless, because anyone could receive it. Submission taken is individual, personal. Earned."

"Loneliness. Growing old is a lonely business, even - especially - when one is immortal."

For those who like the show A Discovery of Witches may like this book. Also, readers who enjoy more paranormal fantasy than paranormal romance books will also enjoy this book. While there are a few spicy scenes, they were pretty light compared to the rest of the plot.

Overall, I give this book a 4.5/5 and a 1/5 for spice.

Thank you IRIS Influencer Society for early access to the book. I do appreciate it.

This was such a brilliant read. It's the perfect book to curl up with at this time of year. I think fans of Twilight and Bride will love it. The author's writing hooked me in from the very first page and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. There was enough content and adventure to keep me interested and reading until the end. I loved the story and there was a great cast of characters who were believable and likeable. Overall, a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers.

Thank you Margot for the ARC!

Vampire So Vengeful picks up exactly where Vampire So Virtuous left us - Antoine has been taken, entombed and cast into the ocean. Cally will do anything it takes to bring Antoine home, but new threats emerge that will place those she loves in more danger.

"Let's break a million laws to return your vampiric true-love to your arms."

This has been one of my most anticipated sequels of the year and it lived up to every expectation - we know that Cally needs to save Antoine and learn more about her magic, and the threat of the other vampires is looming. Margot delivers everything we were expecting and more. With a mix of new and old enemies, you feel as though Cally and Antoine are trapped from every angle at times which really adds to the tension. Something that I loved from the first book is that this is a story that embraces everything I expect from vampires - darkness, seduction, danger. Vampire So Vengeful heightens this in the best ways and is much more action packed.

Despite being perfectly suspenseful, Margot does a fantastic job of breaking up the tense moments with humour and of course, romance. The side characters are so well developed and I found myself completely captivated by them during scenes, especially with Eve and Belle (I'm sorry I'm a Belle fan! Don't hate me!) There is enough care taken with other side characters that no one feels out of place, everyone has a purpose, yet they never overshadow Cally and Antoine.

"Even if I agreed with their methods - which I don't - how could I work for an organization that would threaten the person I love most in the world?"
"They threatened Henry Cavill?"

I was really looking forward to Cally's character in this book and couldn't wait to see how she develops her magic. As much as I loved her I did have a soft spot for Antoine, but after this book I think Cally is my favourite (sorry Antoine! Although I'm sure he would agree...) Cally really comes into her own in this book. Even though she was such a strong and fearless person in the first book, I loved how much her confidence grew as her magic developed, and with even more threats looming she never backed down.

I especially enjoyed her softer moments with Antoine. I really loved that his trauma was acknowledged, and all characters were understanding of what he had been through. Antoine still carries the possessiveness and broodiness from the first book (hey, that's why we love him) but you can really see his development, there is so much trust and respect between him and Cally. I loved that they chose each other despite their bond.

"Entombed in that box, some days only the promise of vengeance sustained me. But more often, it was the thought of you that kept me from madness. Nothing is more important; for you, I would give up everything."

This is a fantastic sequel that provides a satisfying conclusion to Cally and Antoine's story, yet leaves enough open for the next development (any other Eve and Gabe fans rejoicing right now?)

Picking up right where the last left off, Cally wakes after her night with Antoine to find out he’s been sentenced and entombed somewhere and only she may be able to find him. She must work with his thralls and potentially an enemy or two to make a daring rescue and save him. All the while he is stuck in his tomb, subjected to visions of his past and the lines of his life start to blur as he heads toward becoming feral.

I enjoyed this book even more than the first! It was filled with lots of action and fighting while still had plenty of plot and character development through seeing into the background of Antoine’s past and the budding witch powers that Cally is developing with Eve! There was some covert operations and missions that were undertaken as well as a new group of maybe allies or enemy revealed that knows about witches and vampires and may be able to help Cally understand her powers! There was even more tension and relationship development between the pair and throughout the book they continually sacrifice for each other that deepens their bond. Of course there is more meddling from Belle and maybe a new sort of bond forming between two of my favorite side characters that the author hinted in the epilogue may be getting their own story told next! Overall I enjoyed this book even more than the first and I hope to get even more stories from this world! My rating 4.6/5!

•Vampires, witches, spice and suspense? Yes, si vous plait•

My 5 star review of Vampire So Vengeful

Vampire So Vengeful is the second book in the Boston Vampires series. It continues the story of Antoine, a charming, French (and incredibly handsome) vampire and his bond with strong and determined witch, Cally. Their love deepens in this book, even as events threaten their devotion to one another, and throughout the ups and downs, the author gets their chemistry just right! I love the way they tease one another, and they follow up their banter in a very delicious way.

The spice and bond between these two is just part of what makes this story such a great read. The suspense in this book is thrilling and kept me up reading way into the night. From a dangerous rescues to nail-biting fight scenes, I was locked in through the whole book, and I enjoyed every minute of it. And the Epilogue? Well, let’s just say I hope a couple of the side characters get their own book, fast!

Vampires get me every time, and this book left me enthralled!

Thank you IRIS Influencer Society and Margot Arden for sending me a free copy of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

loved book 2

I was so sad and avoided concluding this duet. I didn’t want the immersive reality so beautifully set with Antoine and Callie to end. I was super excited to read in the acknowledgements that she’s not done with this series though. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I 100% believe this is the next BookTok craze.

So happy to finally get ‘Vampire So Vengeful’ in my hot little hands. Jonesing for Gabe and Eve’s story now.

Antoine and Cally are put through the wringer … again. Their allies are better coordinated this go around-Belle is a surprise every time she isn’t self-serving. The world build just keeps becoming more vivid, adding to the experience. There is so much that could be said regarding action, drama, steamy, and tender loving scenes but I don’t want to give anything away. Just know it is an excellent follow-up to ‘Vampire So Virtuous’.

Margot Arden is at it again with a thrilling and captivating paranormal romance that checks every box. ✓ High stakes, ✓ Action-packed, ✓ Danger, ✓ Vengeance, ✓ Suspense. You'll get it all from the Boston Vampires series.

I'm a proud supporter of this series and of Arden's work - after knocking two books completely out of the park, I know I'll be a dedicated reader of hers for life.

The book opens exactly where we left the first one, with a determined Cally looking for ways to save her beloved Antoine from entombment. With their lives entwined together, it is essential that she does so quickly.

Without Antoine, my favourite character from book one, as a POV character for a considerable amount of the book, I wasn't sure how I'd get on board. While the beginning of the story was slower-paced than the first book, it was integral to the development of the high-stakes involved in getting Antoine out, and the additional conflicts that arose while he was entombed. I was surprised at how well the added components elevated the stress of the story, and how desperately I wanted them all to get out unscathed.

The action and passion from the first book came back in full swing, with hollywood-level scenes that had my heart pounding out of my chest. After reading both books, it's fair to say that Margot has a special way of making every character stand out and feel special, which makes it that much harder when they're threatened throughout.

Something I really appreciate is the fact that even characters who are more on the villain-side of the story managed to have redeemable qualities. I found the characters far more likeable throughout, and this gives me a lot of hope for the rest of the series as we explore other relationships and lore elements.

My favourite thing about these books is the balance between the love story and the overarching plot - both feel exciting and satisfying in their own ways without interefering too much. There are some cheesy bits that creep in, especially near the end, but it hasn't prevented me from being excited and eager for more iderations to this collection.

Thank you to the author, Margot Arden, for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I gave Vampire So Vengeful four stars as the second half of this duology. While it didn’t evoke quite the same intensity of emotion as book one, it tied everything up nicely and made for a truly enjoyable read. I loved the mature world of vampires Margot Arden created—it’s sizzling hot, full of mystery, political intrigue, and a secret society I couldn’t get enough of.

This book leans more into the politics than the romance until the end, but when the heat hits—it hits. I definitely wanted more swoony vampire-and-witch moments, but the worldbuilding more than made up for it. The author crafted a paranormal setting I’d happily drop into anytime.

I also loved the recap and new additions to the storyline. Book one left us on that shocking cliffhanger, and I couldn’t wait to see how everything unfolded. We get to know Cally and the Thralls better this time around, and I adored seeing Cally’s fiery, feisty side as she fights to get Antonine back while discovering more about her witchy power. She gets tangled in plenty of drama, and honestly, I have no idea how it’ll all work out. There are a lot of “rock and a hard place” moments in this one.

I’m still not sure how I feel about this version of Antonine; he’s definitely more aloof, but I loved the added complexity and entanglement of the society plotline. And that rooftop scene? 🔥 Absolutely scorching. The mechanics might leave you blinking, but the context? Panty-melting perfection. Antonine might be different, but I’m curious to see if that’s for better or worse.

The pacing is steady, packed with drama, political tension, and plenty of steamy scenes. Cally and Antonine really settle into their bond in this story, and her witchy side shines brighter than ever. She is stubborn, strong, and passionately loyal. I also enjoyed how close we grew to the rest of the cast, especially Eve, Belle, Gabe, and Noah.

The story takes some intriguing turns, and I love getting lost in this world of vampires, witches, fated mates, and supernatural power struggles. Cally and Antonine’s story wraps up beautifully with a delicate new balance, but the tease of Gabe and Eve’s connection at the end is just as enticing. I love that it all comes full circle while opening the door to new stories and more characters to fall for.

I do love the included glossary by chapters and all the fun words used in the book.

This is the second instalment in the series, continuing the story of Cally and Antoine just as their relationship begins—only to be torn apart when Antoine is entombed by those who seek to break him. What follows is a gripping tale of blood, vengeance, and forbidden magic, as Cally and her allies fight to bring him back and make his captors pay. At the heart of the story are Cally and Eve, drawn into the shadowy mysteries of witchcraft—powerful, ancient, and dangerously misunderstood they find themselves on a steep path of discovery. The plot races forward with unexpected twists, placing Cally and Eve at the heart of the action. As the vampires of Boston turn on each other in a brutal civil war, betrayal runs deep, and survival is never guaranteed. But even in the darkest moments, love refuses to die.

I liked this book a lot less than the first. A lot of it simply screams filler.
I think my main criticism is that this is a lot less coherent as a narrative than the first book. Which is a shame. I had to make myself pick it up and carry on reading and that's not a good sign.

Hello, people!
Today I come with the second book in the Boston Vampire series. It is good to read the books in order because otherwise you will have gaps. Also, this story starts where the previous one left off.
The characters are so dynamic and have depth, from the smallest to the protagonists. I really liked the element of adventure, as the suspense often peaked and this kept me alert and raised my heart rate. The same goes for the development of the characters, especially Cally's.
As for her writing, it remains addictive, enjoyable, exciting, full of emotions, shocking and captivating. On the plus side is the tension both between the characters and in the plot that takes the book off the ground.

Thank you very much to the author for the eARC!

Thank you to Margo and IRIS Influencer Society for this beautiful ARC read!

This was anticipated read from the beginning of the series! Absolutely beautiful book with such beautiful writing! The build up to this book was so good! I loved each book and couldn't wait to read this as well! Cally and Antoine are the strongest couple for all that they've been through. They yet again have faced challenges and overcame them. This was just the best!
