Rate this book
An all-new steamy and angsty Forbidden Single Dad Ice Hockey Romance from the USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Tracy Lorraine.Kodie Rivers.

Hockey god.

Single dad.

And thanks to my father—his coach—he’s completely off-limits.

But that only makes him more irresistible.

I know better than to think there’s a future with a man like him. His priorities are his daughter and his career. No room for complications. No space for me.

But after years of watching him from the sidelines, I’m done just looking. I want one night. One little taste to quiet the wild fantasies about the man I can’t have.

When my dad’s ticket to the LA Vipers’ annual charity masquerade falls at my feet, I know I should put it back. But the mask gives me the courage to be someone else for one night. Someone bold enough to go after what she wants.

And I want him.

One night. No names. No consequences.

But will it be enough, or will it only add more gasoline to my already out-of-control obsession?

With some serious editing it could be 4. But It took me way too long to finish it. Numerous sex scenes that I actually became bored after a while and started skimming them towards the end. Not a good sign. I felt the main characters didn’t really know each other beyond the bedroom. If they had any chats they were off the page. And I wasn’t too keen on some of Kodie’s bedroom talk. Calling your secret lover your dirty whore…nah, not for me. Now, edit all that out and some other extraneous stuff and it becomes a 4.

Breaking the Pucking Rules gave me pause because of the cover and then made me feel a bit gross while reading.
Casey and Kodie were ok, but some aspects did make me uncomfortable.
The characters were fine, the storyline was ok, a bit too long, but ok.
This one simply wasn't for me.

I’m so bored and it feels like there is no momentum to the story. Like the characters just keep hooking up without really advancing the romance part of the story at all. I am already almost halfway through and firstly it feels like I’ve read a million pages already and secondly I just don’t care. Like aren’t we all supposed to be adults here? Do you really have to sneak around your own father to date who you want? The entire conflict of this book would be resolved if the main character just went to her dad and said “hey dad, I know you’re not comfortable with me dating one of your players and I have always respected that but I really feel like I want to date this particular man. I think we have a strong connection and I want to be together. I hope you can respect that since WE ARE BOTH FULL GROWN ADULTS AND ONE OF US LITERALLY HAS A WHOLE ASS CHILD!” Like grow up. It’s a no from me. I don’t care how it ends.

Breaking the pucking rules by Tracy Lorraine was fun, cute and a great start to a new series.

Code Rivers doesn’t date. He’s a single dad with a one track mind for hockey. When he attends a charity ball he meets a mysterious masked lady. She’s the first one who’s spiked his interest in a really long time. One thing leads to another and they spend a hot night together. Afterwards he realises the stranger is actually his coaches daughter and thinks his world going to blow up. But Casey isn’t the girl of scandal and although he can be a grumpy a**, these two are made for each other. Will Codie push her away one two many times or can dating your coaches daughter really work out?

Rating: 5/5 ⭐️
Spiciness Rating: 4/5 🌶
POV: First Person Dual Perspective
Main Couple: Kodie and Casey
Trope(s): Hockey, Forbidden, Single Dad

It has been a minute since I have picked up a book by Tracy Lorraine. This is a long, detailed read, but I am happy she didn’t make it a duet and I had all the Kodie and Casey in one go. And, what a go it was. Oh, the angst. The witty banter. The delicious encounters. Sutton, who is seven going on seventeen and absolutely adorable. This book owned me while I read it. I was so wrapped up in Kodie and Casey’s love story. My heart hurt, it felt full, it swooned, and had me all put together at the end only for Sutton to make her play for it.

Casey Watson, her father is the coach of the LA Vipers and once a hockey god himself. Her whole life has revolved around hockey. From when her dad played, to when she gave it a go herself, and now as she works for the Vipers franchise herself. Her dad is her idol, but Kodie Rivers' face once covered her walls. And, for the last year has played on the Vipers.

Kodie Rivers, single dad that has put his daughter first and women on the backburner.

Until a stranger tempts him at the masquerade ball. And, he indulges.

The encounter leaves a mark on Kodie.

Then he realizes his stranger is Casey Watson.

And, they both know one night was never going to be enough.

Underwhelming

I wish I could say I enjoyed this story more, but truthfully, the highlight is the little girl, Sutton, who is adorable.
I read to the 40% mark and gave up. There are too many should I/shouldn’t I between two people who are adults and act like teenagers hiding from Dad.
I enjoy this writer’s work, but this one is too long and has no real substance, IMO.

Breaking the Pucking Rules just jumped to the number 1 spot of my faves read of the year.

Casey and Kodie story exceeded my expectations. This story had it all grumpy hockey player, single dad, age gap and all the hockey.

The chemistry for these two was off the charts. You see if from the very beginning. Kodie is entranced when he bumps into Casey. It was supposed to be one night. But the heart wants what the hearts want. Even though Casey is forbidden (coach daughter) they start breaking the rules. You see all the sneaking around, the want is stronger than the consequences. You can’t help but root for them.

Let’s not forget about the cutest 7 year old Sutton. She is everything to Kodie. Their relationship is so adorable. She plays hockey just likes her dad. I love everything about her. The bond with the team is so darn cute. And even Coach Watson as well. I love the input she gives everyone.

I’m at awe with this phenomenal story, I was savoring every page. I didn’t want it to end and I’m sad that’s it’s over. This story was beautifully written. It had lots of laughs, spice, happiness, tears and of course hockey. I can’t wait to come back to this world. 💚🏒

Casey & Kodies story is one of attraction, passion, secrets, steam, doubts, hope, more steam and a connection that will have you swooning.

Kodie is a single dad with the grumpy aura, hockey player and what he thought would be a one time thing, turns in to so much more - alongside some complications, Casey being his coaches daughter is a mighty big one!!

A really good read, loveable characters, steamy scenes, overcoming obstacles and a hot hea. Loved it!

This is the first book in a new series and this is Kodi and Casey's story.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, secrets, challenges, intrigue, determination, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love which leads to an entertaining and captivating addictive page turner.

This was such a fun read. I loved all of the characters and the storyline. I love me a single dad, forbidden sports romance. My only complaint is that it does feel like a bit too much of an insta-love. The MCs spent so much time in the bedroom, and I don't know how much they actually know of each other.

I would have given 4 stars if this hockey romance wasn't almost 700 pages long. Don't get me wrong, it was a super cute story, but could have been 300 pages shorter. And yet... will I be reading Parker and Linc's story? Probably. A girl loves her hockey tropes!

Breaking The Pucking Rules
LA Vipers Book One
Written by Tracy Lorraine
@tracy_lorraine_author

Did I jump up and down with so much excitement when I heard that Tracy was writing a hockey romance? Yes , yes I did. I'm a huge hockey romance fan and a huge Tracy Lorraine fan so this book is literally a dream. I couldn't put it down, it was everything I hoped it would be and much more. I'm obsessed and this book is my new favorite. It will become a new comfort read.

The angst killed me as usual, especially when it comes to Tracy books. This book was on fire. The characters' chemistry was so intense. They literally could not stop thinking about each other or stay away from each other. The tension between them was hot. The forbidden aspect was on point. This book filled all the craving I need in a hockey romance.

Tracy never lets me down. I will never stop praising her work or stop reading her books. It doesn't matter what she writes I'm always excited to dive in and it always pulls me out of a slump. Somehow I always seem to fly through her books no matter how long they may be.

I could not wait to get my hands on this book for two reasons. One I wanted to read it before I meet Tracy for the first time #BB4E and that it is released the day after my birthday 💜. This book did not disappoint! I'm obsessed with this book as much as Casey is obsessed with Kodie or Kodie is obsessed with her 🤔 I can't decide.

Casey Watson, couldn’t believe the luck of her favorite team in the whole hockey world, that her dad just happened to be the greatest coach they have ever had. They were able to pursue her teenage all-time crush on the ice, which she has followed since he first took to the ice in college. Even in high school, he was the best, and that allowed him to have his pick of colleges. And things have only gotten better since. When it was announced that he was coming to LA, she thought all her Christmases had come at once. She’s the coach’s daughter. It doesn’t matter how much she might obsess over a player, but it would never happen. None of them would risk losing her father’s respect. A night with her wasn’t worth it.

Before Kodie Rivers joined the Vipers, it never really bothered her. She saw them all as pseudo uncles, big brothers, and friends. However, now… The photos she had of him were stuck inside her high school textbooks. She has them on her bedroom wall if she didn’t think her dad would lose his crap over it. She followed Kodie’s career, his life, ever since he first stole her attention all those years ago. Her mission today had been to pick up her dad’s bible as he called it (his bible is his life. His calendar, his playbook…his everything). She can’t focus on the one player on the ice who intrigued her she turned toward her father and quickly walked toward him. She holds her head high, clutches his bible tighter to her chest, and keeps walking.

He’s just a hockey player. Just a man. No big deal. But it is a big deal. He’s Kodie f-ing Rivers. Casey does her best to tame her hormonal teenage girl who seems to pop up every time she’s near Kodie to focus on what she needs to. Her dad must have noticed movement in his direction, so he looked up. The second he discovers it’s her, his entire face lights up. “Care Bear,” he mouths, making her cheeks burn with embarrassment. Casey almost reached him when two players slammed into the plexiglass beside her. A startled shriek rips from her lips as she twists around to see who it is. When Casey locked onto a pair of mesmerizing dark brown eyes that she’d know anywhere. She tried to swallow, but her mouth had gone completely dry.

She’d never been the girl who crushed over guys maybe a few but never to this extent, surely none like Kodie Rivers. There is no excited look of recognition to see her, the only expression on his face is one of irritation. Understandably, when you’ve just been body checked by a teammate. She had no idea if he recognized her. Casey can understand that she’s not a part of his life as he is of hers. However, he does give her a curt nod of acknowledgement. She looked away and at the much more amused-looking man behind him. Lincoln Storm. A player who would probably throw caution to the wind and be willing to hook up with the coach’s daughter, it would be Linc. He’s been a Viper since his rookie year. He’s a great player…in both senses of the word. He works hard, and he plays harder.

The opposite of Kodie, who lives a much quieter life. Linc smirks at her in accomplishment, and a beat before he releases Kodie, he winks. A deep growl fills the air as a shadow falls over Casey. “Eyes off my daughter, Storm.” She risked glancing over and found her Dad glaring daggers at one of his best players. “Drop and give me fifty,” he commands. Once he’s happy he’s driven off any potential suitors, he turns to her with a soft smile playing on his lips. “You’re an angel,” he says, his voice suddenly softer and calmer. “It’s not like it’s out of my way,” Casey teases, looking up at her dad and smiling. Not wanting to take up any more of his time, Casey stretched up on her toes to kiss him on the cheek and wished him a good day, and then she walked away from the rink without looking back.

The second she pulled open her car door, something fluttered onto the floorboard. It must have fallen out of her Dad’s bible. She’s about to turn back to give it to her Dad when the messy, unfamiliar writing across the front steals her attention. Coach Watson, I know you don’t want to go, but here is your ticket. Please don’t waste it. It’s signed by the team owner. Her heart rate begins to increase as she predicts what’s hiding inside. Climbing into her car, she looks around the lot nervously. It’s deserted, but it doesn’t stop her from slumping lower in her seat as she tucks her finger under the unsealed flap. Casey’s hands shake as she pulls out the single ticket inside. Her stomach twists with anticipation. For years, the LA Vipers’ fundraising department has organized a masquerade ball in the weeks leading up to the preseason.

Getting your hands on a ticket is like finding unicorn shxting. Every single year, her dad is given one. And every single year, he donates to the cause but refuses to attend, saying that it’s not his thing. She’s begged for his ticket every year since she was seventeen, to no avail. It’s not that he’s trying to keep me away from hockey. That would be really hard, considering she also works for the franchise. But it would be safe to say that he likes to keep her at arm’s length from the team. Coach James Watson will kill her if he finds out she’s taken it. He’ll know, a little voice screams, but one look at the arena, and she swallows it down. But, her Dad won’t know. Every year that ticket goes in the trash. It’s a masquerade ball… What if no one finds out?

If Casey can secure a good enough mask and dye her hair, then no one has to know. Not Dad, not Gary, their GM, or any of the players. For one night, she’d just be a woman at a party. A party that a certain number fifty-five will be attending… Operation get her man for one night was on.

Worth reading. All the characters are funny, interesting, and sexy as well as clumsy. In the sense that they have no idea how to be truly covert in a relationship. Funny premise. Keep an eye on Linc and Parker too. Not just a great friend, but way more to whom it may concern they are.

Tracy Lorraine wrote a hockey romance. Say no more . Because Breaking the Picking Rules is a five star amazingness of a sports romance and it's one of my favorite so far . And Tracy Lorraine wrote one pucking hockey romance , pun intended. On top of everything it has all of my favorite tropes: a single dad hockey player with the sweetest and sassier little girl ever , a coach's daughter, a secret forbidden relationship and a lot of rules for breaking. Kodie Rivers is sweet and swoony with a lot of dirty talking on the side and he's Casey Watson dream man . Casey Watson is sweet and caring, sassy and fierce with one big love being hockey and a life long crush on Kodie Rivers. And she's determined to live her dream . That masked ball event started their story with a bang . Because once Casey put herself in Kodie's orbit it's evident that they have an instant attraction and crazy chemistry . And these two are pure fire together. Then reality hits hard when Kodie realized that she knows who he is and that she's his coach's daughter. And she's off limits. That upped the angst levels to the sky and made them fight for their relationship. They have some ups and downs till they find their way to each other. And if Casey had her dream of Kodie for so long he had to catch up fast and to fight his doubts and fears so he can see that she's his dream girl too . Those two were smoking hot together. Kodie was the sweetest and thoughtful single dad always trying to be a good example for his daughter. Casey loved Sutton and became an important person in her life. They became an instant family the moment Casey entered their lives. Casey's father was such a surprise with his moves behind the scenes and I have to say he wasn't your typical grumpy coach . Loved the happily ever after they found . Their Christmas tradition was so sweet and heartwarming. That epilogue and bonus chapter were chef's kiss. Sutton is a girl boss in the making. And I can't wait for Parker and Link's story.

Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.

In Breaking the Pucking Rules by Tracey Loraine we follow Casey Watson—the coach’s daughter—and Kodie Rivers, number 55 on the LA Vipers hockey team.

The story kicks off when Casey stumbles upon her father’s ticket to the team’s annual charity masquerade ball, an event she’s never been allowed to attend thanks to her overprotective single dad who has raised her alone her whole life. She uses this ticket as a way to get to be spontaneous without the team knowing it’s her.

At the masquerade ball, Casey finally gets her chance at the one thing she’s always wanted: a night with Kodie. But as sparks start flying, so does his mask—literally—shattering the anonymity they both hoped for and changing everything between them.
Outside of her personal life, Casey works for the team in the design department, creating jerseys and running social media.

Casey’s always had a small crush on Kodie, but it didn’t amount to much until last year, when her dad’s team traded to bring him in. Now, with a front-row seat to every game, that little crush has turned into a full-blown obsession no one else can measure up to. The problem? Being the coach’s daughter means most players won’t dare look her way, afraid of crossing the line with their boss.

Kodie, now 30, is a single dad to his seven-year-old daughter Sutton, who is the center of his world. Casey remembers him as lighthearted and easygoing back in college, but the years—and fatherhood—have left him more guarded and closed off.

Midway through the story, she’s offered her dream job: coaching a young girls’ hockey team. The twist? Kodie’s daughter Sutton is on the roster. What follows is a stretch of tension as Casey wrestles with how to break the news to Kodie, terrified he’ll walk away. (Spoiler: he does—for a while.)

But like any true slow-burn romance, their time apart only fuels the fire. When they come back together, the chemistry between them is undeniable, and their love erupts in an explosive, all-consuming way that leaves no doubt—they’re meant for each other.

Coach's daughter + crush on one of her father's players = never going to happen!

This is a new series from Tracy Lorraine.

Casey's grown up in the hockey world. Her father coaches. She played while she was younger. She's the teams designer. And has a huge crush on one of the players. When an opportunity arises she takes it. Taking her father's annual invitation (he never goes) for the teams masquerade ball where no one, especially, Kodie will be be none-the-wiser that it's her.

Kodie, single dad to Sutton, an adorable, sassy, seven year old daughter, hockey mad, she's his number on fan, cheerleader, coach, oh, and she also plays. He's a bit of a grump, set in his ways, Sutton is his number one priority, he doesn’t party, rarely goes out with the team. But he's to put in an appearance in at the masquerade ball.
It's not often that it's the woman who wants a one nighter, no names, nothing.
What could go wrong?
His encounter with his mysterious one night liason has gotten him integrated.
One night isn't enough.
Finding out the identity of his mystery woman has gotten him rilled up. His coach's daughter of all people. It can't go anywhere, he'll get transferred as soon as coach finds out. But they can't seem to get enough of each other. Sneaking around, are they being as discreet as they think they are?
How will they get over the hurdles that they face?

The banter is great. Linc is a hoot. Sutton is such a sweetheart, she has everyone wrapped around her finger.
Can't wait for the next couples (not giving away spoilers) story.
There's something interesting there.

⭐ 5/5

Blurb
Breaking the Pucking Rules is a standalone age-gap, single dad, coach's daughter, forbidden romance set in the LA Vipers world

Quote: “I love you, Casey. I’ve loved you from the very first night. I might not have known who you were, but I knew you were going to change my life in ways I never could have imagined.”

Casey, secretly in love with Kodie since she was a teenager
Kodie, a single dad who could lose it all by getting involved with Casey

Kodie, Casey and an unexpected love story

This romance was so beautifully built it melted my heart. It was so easy to relate to the characters and all their feelings. Casey finally finds a way to get closer to her teenage crush who is now one of her dad’s star players. And a single dad with responsibilities.
Kodie’s life revolves around hockey and his daughter. Distractions he can’t afford and doesn’t want. But when a beautiful mystery girl catches his eye at an event, he can’t deny his attraction to her, even for just one evening.
But that supposed secret and one time thing gets discovered when Kodie takes a good look at Casey.
And now Kodie is torn between wanting that woman that got stuck up in his head and doing the right thing. Keeping his distance. And Casey is determined to just love him from afar, but nothing goes as they want.
They end up getting closer only to bring distance between them again. But feelings can’t and won’t be ignored forever. And soon Kodie and Casey have to come clean. About themselves and to others.
An emotional thoughtful romance that includes a lot of hockey, side characters and a good look at the main characters and their thoughts.

✨ARC Review✨

I’m officially obsessed with this book! It’s book 1 of the new LA Vipers hockey series, and it starts off with a bang! So many good things are happening in this story it’s hard to know where to begin. Kodie is a single father to a little girl, Sutton (who is adorable), and was just traded to the Vipers last season. Casey has crushed hard on him for years, but is the coach’s daughter and considered 100% off limits. A night with Kodie is her dream fantasy that she plans to make a reality. She risks everything by taking her dad’s ticket to the team’s annual charity gala, which is a masquerade this year. She disguises herself and the two have an amazing connection (and extremely sexy night), that unfortunately ends early when he realizes that she does actually know who he is. The real problem? He recognizes her the next time he sees her at the rink, even without the disguise. The two know they should stay away from each other, there is so much at stake, especially for Kodie. Their chemistry and need for each other is just too much to resist. I loved watching their relationship evolve, talk about angst and yearning! Kodie is the perfect book boyfriend — he’s got the romantic sweetness but the dirty roughness too. The spicy scenes? I think I might have gained a few new fantasies myself 🥵 the way hockey was built into the story was wonderful, sometimes with sports romances the authors can gloss over the actual sports aspect of things, but hockey became even more a part of the story by the fact that both Casey and Sutton played. The ending is absolutely an HEA that was so perfect it made me teary eyed. You absolutely need to pick this one up! Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

When I stumbled across a post for this book I added it to my TBR list right then and there! Having read this author's work many times before I couldn't wait to get into this book. I jumped right into the LA Vipers world. I enjoyed this story so much!

Casey and Kodie's journey pulled me in! Casey is the daughter of the LA Vipers hockey coach and has always had a thing for Kodie. Kodie is a single father to daughter, Sutton, and is a hockey player for the LA Vipers. A charity masquerade ball shakes everything up for Kodie and Casey. Could they take a chance on what's between them despite everything?

Right from the get go Kodie and Casey got me right into their story! I so enjoyed how hockey was a big part of both of their lives and how the charity masquerade ball brought them together. From personal stuff, Casey's dad, and everything between them, I couldn't wait to see how Casey and Kodie would take it all on!

Casey and Kodie had me feeling so much with them from beginning to end! Their chemistry was blushworthy and so good! I couldn't get enough of the forbidden of it all! 😍 I was so glad that I got to dive into both of their minds and dig deeper with them. It was awesome to see things ignite between Kodie and Casey. The moments that Kodie and Casey shared with Sutton were wonderful as well!

I enjoyed being in the LA Vipers world for the first time and what the other characters brought to the story, especially Sutton!

With Breaking The Pucking Rules, Ms.Lorraine has created a great hockey / single dad romance that brought coach's daughter x hockey player, forbidden goodness, heart and family, and feels! I am so looking forward to book two and more of the LA Vipers crew! 💚🏒

Breaking the Pucking Rules is a steamy new Hockey Romance by one of my favourite authors, Tracy Lorraine. As a fan of her work, I was excited to see her venture into the Hockey Romance genre, and she did not disappoint!

The story centres on Kody Rivers, single dad and Pro Hockey Player and Casey Wilson, coaches daughter. Right from the outset your captivated by the story. Casey loves Hockey, she lives and breathes it, along with her dad. So when she sees an opportunity to get closer to her crush, she takes it. She knows nothing can come of it, so she offers one night, no strings, thinking this will fulfil her fantasies and she can move on with her life. After all, she's the coaches daughter, which makes her off limits by default. Things don't quite go to plan.

The connection between Casey and Kody was filled with intense chemistry that really showed . I love how they were both able to transform and be 'other people' for a night. Casey, in particular, is a character who evolves throughout the story, initially coming across as reserved but revealing a more daring side as the plot progresses.

It soon becomes clear that they can't stay away from each other. I loved how they became an instant family, with Sutton also taking to Casey. Tracy expertly crafts an addictive narrative, one that readers will find engaging and descriptive.

The book is filled with favourite romance tropes, including the single dad, coach's daughter, forbidden romance, age gap, and grumpy/sunshine dynamics. These elements are woven together seamlessly, making for a captivating and enjoyable read.

Overall, Breaking the Pucking Rules is a fantastic addition to Tracy's repertoire. It's a must-read for fans of hockey romance and anyone looking for a steamy, engaging love story.

This is a steamy, angsty hockey romance that delivers big on the forbidden trope but also asks for a lot of patience from the reader. Ugh, Tracy Lorraine...she's super hit or miss. I either love it or hate it...until this book. I don't love it, and I don't hate it. That makes it even worse.

Kodie Rivers is a hockey star, single dad, and completely off limits as the coach’s daughter’s crush. Casey and Kodie’s chemistry is strong from the start, especially with the masquerade ball setup. The forbidden aspect really works here, and the angst feels real. Kodie, as a dad to Sutton, is the best part of the book. It adds heart and depth to his character and softens his character.

You can feel how hard both characters fight their feelings, knowing how messy the situation could become. There are definitely swoony moments, and fans of hockey romances will feel right at home in the LA Vipers world.

However, this book is so freaking long. I don't care about length as long as it's worth it, but...the pacing suffers because of it. Many scenes, especially the intimate ones, start to feel repetitive. I also would have liked to see more communication and relationship building outside the bedroom.

I HATE when reviewers do "half stars." I don't get it. Rate it like a normal person...yet, here I sit. Can I rate this 3.5 stars? For readers who love forbidden romance, single dads, and hockey tropes, this is your jam. I wish it was my jam. With fewer pages and a bit more focus on emotional connection, it could have easily been a five star for me. Should you read it? Sure. Will I pick it up again? Probably not. Looking at the next books in the series? I'll look at the page counts before I commit.

It’s official no genre is safe from Tracy!

Per usual, I went and blind when reading this book, all I knew from the title was that it was gonna be a hockey book and I was very interested to see the direction Tracy would take it in. And I’m going to say from everything else that I’ve read from her or this was something totally different. I’m used to Tracy‘s dark and gritty view of romance where there’s always emotion but with almost a sinister take on love. This is not that, this is a book centered on a hockey player. Who’s a younger single dad and a woman who’s grown up in the world of hockey, with the awareness of what it takes to be in a relationship with a professional hockey player.

Where for me this is a totally different kind of storytelling from Tracy, but still at the core it’s Tracy. This is a steamy out the gate no hold barred romance, with a little drama, a lot of emotion and more steam than you’re gonna know what to do with. This is a thick book, like over 600 pages thick, but it doesn’t read long. It doesn’t read drawn out, and once you dive in, you’re not going to be able to come up for air until you’re done. This is just the beginning of the series, and I am so excited to read the next book in the series and see just what Tracy has in store for the next couple.

So I guess bottom line if you have read Tracy before to me this book is a total different side and it is just as compelling and just as exciting to read. It’s just not dark and sometimes a little light is a refreshing thing to read.
