This book was pretty good, but not great. Maybe it was just the mood I was in while reading it, but the political intrigue and various backstabbing the MC and his princess are dealing with felt a little tedious. That's one of the problems with the MC or a LI being a royal. All the intrigue that is often outside of the MC's control they have to deal with.

Hot, Witty, and SO Epic!
This series keeps getting better! I love all these characters, but Vin especially makes me grin. There’s so much sizzle every time she talks. And there’s a new great addition to the cast! I won’t spoil it, but I was delighted by the, ah, “darker” perspective that’s joined the crew.
Rilas is a fantastic villain. He’s delightfully mad, but it never goes over the top. Sarah writes him the way I wish Hollywood wrote more of their villains: as the ruthless hero of their own story with their own twisted moral code.
An immensely fun, well-crafted story. I highly recommend it!

Worth the wait
The story is getting very interesting with all the new developments in this book I am super excited for the next book and where we will go from there. As also characters are fantastic and very well rounded.

A wonderful story in a wonderful world!!
The non OP MC and unique characters surrounding him make this such a wonderful story! Finding the Drow on both sides was not a true surprise but the author created it in a masterful way!
