Forbidden Daddy

Rate this book
I accidentally sexted my mafia boss.

Now, he has no idea he’s my baby’s daddy.

I thought I was texting an old fling.

Turns out, I sexted my Irish mafia boss.

So when Roman Creed pinned me to his desk the next day and whispered every filthy word back to me… I knew I’d seriously screwed up.

But when his tattooed knuckles tangled in my hair, I didn’t stop him.

Not on his desk.

Not in the janitor’s closet.

Not even on the printer.

After several HR-nightmare encounters, he did the

“You’re going to be my wife.”

Now I’m neck-deep in private jets, exclusive dinners, and mafia secrets.

My job is simple, pretend to be his wife so he can inherit his father’s empire and turn it clean.

But the mafia doesn’t want to be clean.

I tell myself it’s just physical.

Just temporary.

Men like him don’t love women like me.

But reality always knocks—

And this time, it came with two pink lines.

This daddy is dangerous, the woman’s a hot mess—but you’ll still get your HEA.

I’m just going to make a list of nonsense to deter you away from reading this.

1. Age gap was never mentioned
2. Shane’s murder was predictable
3. The person to betray the MMC was predictable early
4. Pregnancy trope revealed 40%ish (apparently she got pregnant the first time they boinked)
5. The fire…well what happened here?
6. No character personality or development
7. The amount of times the other characters (his right hand men) told him he wasn’t good enough for the job, and only listed minor things but it never made sense.
8. The attack at the shipping containers was short and boring. Oh no we got shot, men died…okayyy give us more details. Where’s the shouting/screaming, bloodshed, why are you NOT ATTACKING BACK???? It’s like “oh no we’ve been betrayed” “oh no they’re shooting” “oh no I’m shot” - then their home…what???? There’s no conclusion to this scene.

The list is long and I’m not willing to put more effort into this review from here. Not recommended.

Loved it

If you love your romances dark, dangerous, and just a little bit sinful, this one’s going to hit every craving.

From the very first chapter, the tension is magnetic. It’s got that irresistible mix of power, forbidden attraction, and slow-burn danger that keeps you flipping pages way past midnight.

Milli Rabbit does an amazing job balancing the grit of a mafia world with the heat of an age-gap, boss-employee dynamic. The chemistry? Explosive. The emotions? Surprisingly tender beneath all that danger.

It’s steamy, fast-paced, and full of moments that make you pause and whisper “oh, we shouldn’t… but I really hope we do.”

What I loved:
🔥 The delicious push and pull between the leads
🔥 The perfect mix of dominance and vulnerability
🔥 How easily it pulls you into the fantasy

If you’re looking for a book that feels like temptation wrapped in a suit and smirk, Forbidden Daddy will do the trick.

Started reading because I was curious but if I have to read "something uniquely him" or "something shifted in his expression" or fucking "i had to fight not to lean in to his touch" one more time , im gonna go apeshit. and my god , the temperature in the room can not posssibly drop 10 fucking degrees everytime he hears something he doesn't like . it's so repetitive in wording that it's either ai or the author is just extremely unoriginal . there's nothing unique or special about this book. the characters are flat , unoriginal , and fucking boring . Roman isnt even an alphahole hes just plain dumb . it's taken me weeks to finish this stupid fucking book.

a new author for me i really enjoyed this story filled with danger, excitement, betrayal, violence, lost hope, yet fledging love, renewed hope, trust, new strength, loyalty, and more. cassie thinks her boss is hot and accidentally sends him a sex text while drinking. roman takes advantage of the text and uses it to fulfill his desire for his asst and when the empire he rules demands he settle down he gets cassie to agree to a partnership which develops into much more than either thought. but danger is lurking, betrayal is everywhere and roman must protect not only cassie but his empire and the ppl depending on him. loyalties are tested and not everyone who claims to be family can be trusted. and when cassie discovers something new and keeps it secret what will happen when roman finds out and decides not even the woman he has come to care about can be truly trusted. will he let old hurts and betrayals colour his world and the new feelings he is developing for a woman who has decided to stand strong beside him or will he let it all slip thru his fingers because he can't forge a new path and find a new way of living. wonderful rich characters believable plot and lots of emotional angst along with lots of spice.

I’m deleting this outta my library 😐 (sorry, but did not enjoy)

Good: -the first 3 chapters (⭐️)
-there is portions of good writing in there (⭐️) + since Tommy was given 2 or 3-ish parts along the lines of how he “sat hunched over his laptop”, “looking pale and jittery from too much caffeine and too little sleep. ” ~If there’s going to be more books; I hope he gets his own 😎 Techies, computer bugs, Hackers always deserve to get a little love too💋

Not so good:
-this definitely needs more editing, it’s glitchy, was this rushed??
-there’s an odd Deja Vu at 3 times in the first half of the book, like I’ve already read certain parts before 🤔
-I just don’t like Cassie…
-their ages were never mentioned, or about an official “age gap”
-That’s one amazing flame to never have gone out while 2 big mafia men fight, wrestle, and role around a marble floor with puddles of gasoline 🙄

My biggest eye roll is:
“Let them try. I’d survived five months working for Roman’s world without even knowing the rules”
Oh please 🙄 5 months is nothing sweetheart, that’s absolutely stupid what she thought… hunny, you’re not swimming with the sharks yet, hell, you’re not even in the guppy tank, you’re in the fry nursery 🥱

🪦🥀 RIP Sean

Intriguing pretend fiancée, Irish crime family romance; 3.25 stars
This book had a great plot and it was written well, but there are so many inconsistencies that reading it kept me going back a few pages to make sure I read the first entry correctly. This is a shame because Ms. Rabbit could have earned four-stars. The plot is pretty much straight forward. Roman Creed is a reluctant crime family leader. After generations of his crime family having led the Creeds, he wants to go legit but there are forces running against him. Somebody close by is sabotaging Roman’s activities. Although his new wife-to-be Cassie James professes to be with him in his fight, is she? Could she be the informant?
This was a steamy, intriguing story which could have been so much better. And by the way, a Consigliere is in the Italian mafia, not the Irish. The Irish would have an underboss or a counselor. If you like your romance to be steam-filled and intriguing, this author is for you assuming you can overlook obvious missteps. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout.
Loved the cover though!

I thought this book was going to be a light-hearted romp about an alpha boss and his assistant. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had depth and substance to the story. Cassie accidently drunk sexts her boss, Roman, and he attempts to make her sexting wishes come true. There are other forces at play as Roman is the head of the Irish families criminal organization and someone within wants him gone. Roman decides to make Cassie his wife and being an outsider, she becomes a pawn in their dangerous game. Cassie loves Roman so she supports him and he begins to trust her only to find that she is pregnant and has been hiding it from him. Roman feels betrayed by her and that he has no one in his corner. Through all the twists and turns, Roman has to decide which family members can be trusted and risks everything to maintain his control over his businesses. Will he choose the right person to trust, will he forgive Cassie, or will he watch everything he has fought for go down in flames? I guess you'll have to buy the book to find out who comes out on top and whether Roman and Cassie get their HEA.

The start of this is rushed. Like it makes it seem like everything happens within a few days. But there are clearly weeks of time gaps. That should be edited to make it more believable. Cause I mean not to spoil anything but that thing you clearly seen coming with the lack of protection happens at least 3 weeks after they get to the house instead of the days it seems like. Or maybe the time from accepting the marriage deal to get the house was longer. I’m not sure lol that’s why it needs clarification on timeline wise 🤣🤣
I swear to the God lord Roman is stupid 🤦🏻‍♀️🤪 And I typically find zero flaws in MML 😅😅🤷🏻‍♀️🤭 But how was he able to keep everything running being the bossy and not see the traitor?? I knew it was him from the mention of his name the first time.
Cassie annoyed me a bit in the start about the comment of the house being a prison. Like babe you accepted this you wasn’t kidnapped like other mafia books deal with it 🤣🤣
But for real I absolutely loved this book despite the things I said and the predictability of who the traitor is.

Spicy level 🌶️ one pepper

This one started as an inferno and dwindled to a spark. Texting her boss and not the other guy and then it takes off. However, it moved extremely fast which is probably an editing time issue. The bad guy was telegraphed when he set up another but Roman, supposedly the boss, didn't realize it. He didn't check anything until way later & only after someone else said something. I really wanted to like him but I'm trying to figure out how he stayed on this earth long enough to get into his position. Cassie started out knowing who her boss was and taking control over her life. Then she devolved into a wimp. She whined about him being the boss even though she knew it. Whined about protecting her child. Whined no one liked her. She was supposed to be intelligent and certainly should have figured out who the traitor was. Then the ending and suddenly everything is ok. The story seemed to take place in a matter of weeks but that caused the arc to dwindle. I wanted to like it but by the end, I just wanted to make it though.

Roman and Cassie's story is not what I anticipated. Cassie supposedly mistaken sexually charged text message to Roman sets them on a journey that is crazy and unpredictable.

Roman is the head of an Irish mafia family and he wants to go legit, but he is gets resistance and he doesn't know who he can trust. Cassie readily accepts Roman's declarations without too much thought, and dives right in the deep end to the point of no return.

I wanted to like these characters, especially when they do confide in each other about their pasts, but it was a struggle. The fact that Roman is clueless about how his very violent world affects Cassie to point where he feels she has betrayed him is arrogant and selfish.

If we go with the general mafia trope, secrets, deception, violence it is a decent story. Add in the occasional sexual encounters between Roman and Cassie and a happy ending for the lovers, then that helps make it a decent read.

Forbidden Daddy by Milli Rabbit is the sizzling second installment in the Broken Boss Daddies series, delivering a steamy mafia romance packed with drama, deception, and undeniable heat!

The story kicks off with a deliciously awkward mishap—Cassie accidentally sends a very NSFW text to her brooding mafia boss, Roman, instead of her fling. Sparks fly, especially since she’s already secretly crushing on him. Roman, never one to miss an opportunity, uses the mix-up to pull her deeper into his dangerous world, claiming her as his wife. What follows is a fiery partnership, with Roman fighting his growing feelings, until he’s completely gone for her.

While the chemistry is electric, the pacing could’ve been tighter; some scenes felt drawn out, stretching the story longer than necessary. Still, if you’re craving a spicy mafia romance with a forbidden twist, this one’s worth the read! 3/5 stars all the way!

I enjoyed reading this darker spicey mafia story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing skills as well as their attention to details that made the story realistic. This is a well written story about sexting and now the mafia boss is going to be a daddy. I enjoyed the characters and how supportive they were of each other. They are stong, connectable and had me turning pages fast. They have great chemistry and attraction throughout which made this story easy and entertaining to read. I enjoyed watching the growth throughout. This is a fast paced, engaging story that is hard to put down and will keep you coming back for more. This is a story you don't want to miss. I really enjoyed this story and I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this book.

This is the 2nd story for new author in the Broken Boss Daddies Series. This is my 1st story I’ve read. We find Cassie drunk sexting her boss, Roman thinking it’s her boyfriend and the next day at work she finds herself in a heap of trouble. Roman sees an opportunity to put stop the old guards from replacing him by having Cassie marry him. Only problem is Cassie is not Irish and an outsider. When Roman’s authority and leadership is questioned by the family and looking weak to others does the bottom fall out and Roman and Cassie are in a heap of trouble. Cassie gives Roman cause not to trust her but in the end will Roman still see it as betrayal? How to recover from family doing the one thing they shouldn’t - selling them out for power and greed! Forbidden Daddy is an accidental text, forced engagement, accidental pregnancy, mafia romance.
Cassie James is a secretary for Roman Creed and when she is drunk one night she accidentally texts Roman naughty texts. Roman is the head of the Mafia and the Creed Family and needs a wife to secure is inheritance he uses Cassie to get what he wants.
This book was hard for me to get into. The characters annoyed me more then anything and the writing had a lot of repeats. We do not need to know that Roman smelled like whiskey and something uniquely him fifty times in one book. Then there is the fact that Cassie hid her pregnancy from Roman for 5 to 6 weeks. Really? That to me is no reason to think that she betrayed him. Also, what about the picture Cassie found? Nothing came of that whole story. What was the point of it?

I thought these characters were fascinating, although I have to admit that at times they seemed a litttle contradictory. I mean, I knew the minute her symptons were described that Cassie was expecting a child. I also thought that for as smart as these characters seemed, it took them way too long to figure out the identity of the traitor in ranks. Despite that I really enjoyed these characters and their steamy, whirlwind relationship and its ups and downs. Lots of violence, and murder, as well as a well earned happily ever after for Cassie and Roman kept me entertained to the last page. Anyone who enjoys a mafia romance will enjoy this book.

Cassie sexted her boyfriend Jeremy one night and when she gets no response, she is upset. However, the next day she realizes that she sent the text to her sexy boss Roman. One meeting with her sexy boss, will forever change her life as he will bulldoze his way through it. Roman is a mafia boss who’s trying to legitimize the family business but the irish families are not into doing this. There are enemies in every corner and they do not willingly accept Cassie as she is not one of them. Intrigue, suspense, drama and lots of fun time. You can not not fall in love with these two characters, she has a spine of steel and will bring warmth and color to Roman otherwise black and white life. Milli Rabbit’s has again delivered a captivating story.

Cassie and Roman's story got dark real quick, and I was here for every moment of it. In sexy text to the wrong person turns both of their lives upside down. Their chemistry was undeniable from the beginning. The danger was unavoidable, and the betrayal (and who was behind it) I saw coming a while away. What i enjoyed about this book was the connection between them. Cassie was Roman's peace in this war around him. This made them relatable to me. When the world around is raging, it's nice to have someone in your corner who can silence the noise. Overall, this was a really good book I'd recommend.

WHERE IS THE HERO?

I am only taking the time to leave a review because I was so disappointed with this book. One of my favorite genres is Mafia, alpha men, will burn the world down for his women. I feel I was duped. This man is no alpha. Throughout the book I kept wondering how a mob boss could be so dumb. A child could have figured out who the villain was, but not this idiot. He chose every time to look the other way and kill innocent people rather than trusting his gut. The heroine wasn't much better. Damsel in distress with no real talent for anything. I wish I could get this time back. Or what I paid for this farce.

A betrayal story for Roman

This is book two in the broken boss daddies. I read book one and enjoyed it. This storyline was not a favorite for me. This is a force marriage mafia trope story but the story focused more on a mole. The lead male Roman took too long to figure out the mole. At the half way mark of the book , it became difficult to continue. The lead female character had the potential to be awesome. She kept repeating the words that we will work together to find the mole but that happened at the end of the book. So it soured me about this book. There were just too many blows to Roman’s clan for the mole not to have been found sooner. Disappointed.

Roman is a mafia boss trying to legitimize the businesses, but the Irish families aren't happy with this change. His enemies aren't willingly to accept Cassie as she is not one of the family. Filled with sexy times suspense, drama and Intrigue, and lots of snarky fun. These two characters turn out to be perfect for each other, she has plenty of spunk and brings color and life into Roman's life. A satisfying ending is so addictingly sweet.

An accidental text leads to a fantastic story. Cassie is Roman's assistant, but it turns in to much more than that. Roman needs to appear to be stable and grounded through marriage to appease the old fashioned world he took over from his father. Roman does not trust many people, he wants so badly to have someone in his corner he can trust completely. Cassie almost ruined that for Roman. This was a really an amazing book. I will be keeping it in my read again rotation.

An accidental text message will change Cassie's life when her message is sent to the boss. Roman is drawn to Cassie but being the boss makes it difficult and a HR nightmare if things go wrong. Once their path begins, she is caught up in the backstabbing and betrayal by someone out for revenge. Will Roman be able to keep them alive to find out who the culprit is.

What started as a drunken text turns Cassie’s life upside down. A hot office romance leads to an engagement that drops her into Roman’s world of the Irish Mafia. Intense and action packed story of internal betrayal, trust issues and the love that brings it all together. Great read.

I really wanted to like this book. It sounded promising and Roman and Cassie were easy to like. As it went along each character's ideals were conflicting. They'd say or think one thing and then say or think the exact opposite. A lot of holes and contradictions. You could tell who the mole was almost from the beginning. It was no secret and not hidden very well. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

It started out strong on the spice, but then just kinda fizzled out. Story feels rushed, there's no indication of time passing so it seems like things are happening one after the other when they are likely meant to be spread out. I did enjoy it all the same though.

This is the first book that I have read by this author. While I loved how a drunken text that accidentally went to someone other than who it was intended for started the whole story, I also found myself correctly guessing the identity of the person betraying the family. That's not to say that the book isn't worth reading and I would definitely read other stories about these characters.

A text that changes everything.

Roman and Cassie's worlds collide with passion, power struggles, leverage, danger, rules, betrayal, violence, trust issues, disloyalty and secrets. Is Cassie just "a pawn in his inheritance game" or is she so much more? It's suspenseful and action-packed with some interesting plot twists.

I must admit I had mixed feelings about this book. It wasn't a bad book but it just kind of missed the mark with me. What started out as a cute and promising premise faltered along the way and never recovered as Roman and Cassie's story unfolded.
