More Treat than Trick!
I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest opinion.
This was such a cozy feel good Halloween Novella with just the right amount of spice. It had me smiling the entire time I was reading.
Theo is a single widowed dad who is trying his best to raise his adorable daughter Lily while also in the process of starting his own company. With Halloween coming up and Lily desperate to go trick or treating for the first time he is feeling a little lost.
Daisy is Theo's younger assistant who is completely smitten with him but would never dare act on those feelings with respect to his mourning of his dead wife. An unexpected out of office meeting at Theos home has Lily meeting Daisy for the first time and obviously the two instantly bond. Lily then instigates some more time for Daisy to spend time with them as a family and you'll have to read the book to find out the rest 😉
I love both Theo and Daisy plus Daisy and Lily's relationships and just felt truly happy from begging to end. An easy read coming in at just under 2 hours it was the perfect story to read on a day I was feeling a little blue, and it perked my right up!

omg! this book was soooo good! Theo is a widow of a couple of years with a daughter. He got a new assistant 2 years back, attracted to her but not ready as he just lost his wife. Time has gone by, and with his nanny leaving town for an emergency, Daisy is there to fill in. Their love story is perfection. I need more. I truly enjoyed this novella read.

This was my first book by Louise Hudson—and it definitely won’t be my last! Everything about this novella was exactly what I want in a quick, addictive read: fun, romantic, swoony, and perfectly spicy.

First off, I just want to thank the author for this early read. This was such a cute book! A perfect, cozy novella. 😍 This story follows Theo, a hardworking corporate man trying to make it on his own, and Daisy, his Halloween-loving assistant. Their Boss/Assistant relationship quickly turns heated after spending several days together.

It didnt take long for me to get addicted to Louise's books.. everything I've read by her I literally binge it one go! I cant put them down 🤭🤭
Halloween Ever after was no exception and this is quite possibly my favourite so far! This is the perfect book to get you in the mood for those comfy, cosy evenings and let's just say you won't have a problem staying warm😉
Theo and Daisy are absolutely adorable together and I loved them both instantly!Their relationship together is so genuine and it just felt so sweet and wholesome!

I loved this book, just like I love all Louise’s books. I loved the tension and the playfulness between the characters. I loved how Daisy bonded with Theo’s daughter Lily.
Theo lost his wife 3 years prior and has been grieving silently and raising his daughter with the help of a friend Angela. She has to go to Ireland to help her poorly father. Theo has to work from home.
Daisy is Theo’s assistant and loves Halloween, so when she has to drop off some paperwork to Theo, she bonds with Lily immediately whilst he’s on a call.
So much cuteness, angst and lots of flirting with that glorious level of spice to complement tops off this Halloween book.

Theo is a widower raising daughter. Daisy came into his life two years ago and his attraction was immediate, but he was not ready to move on from his wife’s death so he totally closed himself off.
He has decided it is time to move on and the first step he takes is to open his own business so he is leaving and Daisy is staying. A series of errors means he has to invite Daisy into his home and once he does that there is no going back for him.
While this book touches on some heavy elements overall it is light-hearted and positive. A really great novella.

I received this book as an ARC and leaving my honest review!!
I read this short book so fast!! I found myself not wanting to put it down to do anything!! This was such a cute, fun and intriguing read!! Theo could be my boss any day of the week for sure!! I absolutely loved reading all the ways Theo and Daisy fell head over heels for each other and how she brought back his shine that was so needed!! I really loved reading this one!

This was a beautiful book talking about love after loss, particularly with a child. I loved watching the relationship develop, even over the short course of the book. It helps that they've known each other for 2 years prior to the book so there's feelings established already. But it was a lovely book, the MMCs daughter was so cute too!!

I loved this book so much! It was such a cutesy good book.
It was a quick read for me, but I am also a quick reader. I’m not sure how many pages are in the book because Goodreads doesn’t state it and on my kindle it only gives me a location rather than page numbers.
Theo checks off my grumpy man trope but also has the cinnamon roll characteristic. The things he did for & to Daisy was to die for! I enjoyed reading about Theo and adored how much he genuinely loved and cared for his daughter, also how much he tried to do better.
Daisy’s character screamed someone I could be friends with. She loves all things Halloween (as do I), from the pumpkin patch to the Halloween movies & coffees. I enjoyed Daisy’s character because I was able to see myself in her.
If you’re looking for the perfect quick read fall book that screams Fall & Halloween this book is for you! I can’t wait to check out other books by this author in the future. 🎃🎃

This was sweeter than Halloween candy. Theo and Daisy had loads of chemistry and the pacing of the book was on point. It will absolutely satiate your craving for a holiday novella.

This was a super cute spooky-feel-good ARC read that was reminisce of a Hallmark movie...set during Halloween! Wistful love, cute banter, and characters you couldn't help but love. Pumpkin spice and everything nice, it's a cozy fall clean rom-com that was truly enjoyable!

Halloween Ever After by Louise Hudson is such a charming, feel-good read! Set in England, it follows a single dad, still grieving after the loss of his wife, as he tries to make Halloween special for his daughter. With the help of his kind and supportive assistant, the story blossoms into a heartwarming romance that feels natural and deeply touching.
I loved the way the author wove in the Halloween theme. It gave the story a cozy, seasonal vibe without overshadowing the emotional journey of the characters. You can’t help but root for the two leads to find happiness together, and the “happily ever after” ending was exactly what I was hoping for.
It’s one of those stories you can read in one sitting (and I did!) because you just don’t want it to end. Sweet, uplifting, and perfect for anyone who wants a romantic, seasonal escape.

Oh i absolutely adored this book…. It was such a gorgeous, spicy novella and so full of Halloween vibes too - perfect for this time of year!!

My first Halloween themed romance book was such a good time! Daisy and Theo were the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and I loved that even though he looked, he didn't touch until he knew he was ready to move on.
