Nothing says fall in the Rockies like cider, ghosts, and a dead guy.
Halloween in the charming mountain town of Estes Park promises to be magical for bookstore owner Ellie Read. The town's Fall Festival and haunted hayride are in full swing, complete with spooky decorations and ghostly displays that delight visitors from across Colorado. But when the evening takes an unexpected and sinister turn, Ellie finds herself at the center of a mystery that threatens to unravel the cozy community's peaceful existence.
And if one mystery weren't enough, Ellie faces another supernatural puzzle when a desperate spirit appears in the antique mirror of her bookstore. This restless ghost has unfinished business that only Ellie can help resolve, but reaching out to the living proves more complicated than either of them anticipated.
When threatening messages and vandalism target Ellie's store, the stakes become dangerously personal. Someone in Estes Park will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried, and with Halloween night approaching and the veil between worlds thinning, Ellie races against time to solve both mysteries before she becomes the next target.
With guidance from Baxter, the sarcastic Victorian store ghost, her unusually perceptive cat Hobbes, and all her friends, Ellie must navigate both the world of the living and the realm of spirits.
In a town where the supernatural runs deep, the dead don't always rest in peace—and their stories refuse to stay silent.
I read so many books it’s hard to pick out my favorite. These are among my y favorites and I recommend all of them it’s so hard to leave a review as I don’t like telling anything about the series just o say another page turner and I’m looking forward to the next book.
At the Halloween festival, it turns out that the body in the display coffin isn't the dummy from the drama department. It's real. There are a lot of suspects to choose from. There's also closure for a ghost in a mirror.
Great story, characters and descriptions of all. Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 books, can't wait for book 4. Meanwhile I bought Marcalls first in the series! 😍
