Absolutely stunning! This book is a true treasure for anyone who admires Queen Elizabeth II. I loved all the fascinating details and insights into the clothes, jewelry, and accessories she wore throughout her reign. It's clear that an incredible amount of thought, care, and research went into creating this beautiful book. It sold out almost immediately after its release, and after searching for several months, I was happy to finally find a copy. It's the next best thing to seeing the exhibition at the King's Gallery, which also sold out almost instantly. A beautifully designed and thoroughly researched book. Highly recommended!

Fascinating! This big beautiful book ties into the current exhibit of Queen Elizabeth's wardrobe at Buckingham Palace. It covers her whole life, and adds a great deal to our knowledge of the Queen as a person, as well as an "institution." The photographs are excellent; there are even close-ups of the incredibly intricate beading on many of the evening gowns. Her "signature sartorial style" shines on every page. My favorite picture is on page 151, from 1956, where the Queen is greeting Marilyn Monroe at a movie premiere in London. They're shaking hands and smiling real smiles; what a moment! Elizabeth became Queen in 1952, the year I was born, and lived a full life of duty and devotion to her country until she died in 2022. Rest In Peace, Your Majesty.

Part history, part archival catalog, the book is an interesting tour through the Queen Elizabeth's wardrobe from childhood to the latter years of her reign. Interviews with the couturiers provide perspective on the outfits created to accommodate her daytime needs, evening events, and tours to foreign countries. The book is well illustrated to show how the Queen presented her personal style over the decades. Chapters are devoted to various topics, including accessories. As I was reading "Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style," I was thinking how much my mother would have enjoyed the book as she regularly sewed her own clothes. My own sewing practices are what led me to purchase the book. Fellow seamstresses would enjoy this text, as would fans of the queen.

Written to accompany the current exhibition housed at The King’s Gallery “Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style”, this incredible book takes you through the fashion history of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

I purchased this at the exhibition and it is the perfect companion to it. The book goes from her childhood all the way up to her recent outfits and also includes some incredible insight to the designers themselves.
