World Ender meets Ender of Worlds... A thousand years ago, Dianna gave up her life in the deserts of Eoria to save her dying sister. She called upon anyone who would listen, not expecting a monster far worse than any nightmare to answer. Now she does what Kaden asks, even if that means securing an ancient relic from the very creatures that hunt her.
A King thought long dead and long forgotten. In the old world his name was Samkiel. In the new world it is Liam, but one title remains true throughout time. He is the World Ender, a myth to his enemies, a savior and King to those loyal to him. After the Gods War, he locked himself away, hiding from the world. He denied his crown and responsibilities, leaving the very ones who needed him most to deal with the fallout of the death of their homeworld. Now an attack on those he holds dear sends him back to the one realm he never wished to visit again and into the sights of an enemy he thought imprisoned eons ago.
Now enemies older than time must put aside their differences and work together in hopes of saving both their world and every realm in between.
Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Did I like part 2 better than part 1? Yes, actually. Did I have any idea what was going on? No, not really. Will I continue the series? Not in graphic audio. The cast and production was well done, I just needed more of the details that were removed.
I was initially surprised by the contemporary setting, but it is sooooo fitting and one of my favorite parts. I have not read many fantasy-based books of this nature set in such a relatable world and with a morally grey FMC. I am here for it though! I can’t get enough of it. The story and world building was slow to start and requires your attention to fully digest it. Ultimately though, the story has a great medium pace and flow. The way the character development, plot and story are all intwined is beautifully done.
I love Dianna for just being a take no bs, touch my sister and die character. I love Liam for his trauma born and scorned attitude. BUT what I really loved was the tension, hate and just true distaste between them even more. Ha! Aren’t all true bonds built on growing together in some form anyway.
This book just touches on the true story. I know there is more to come with how they are all intertwined and how the prophecy will come to fruition. The pain, the rage, the tension, the terror, the passion, the love, the bonds, the loyalty, the distrust, I need more now! The graphic audio was such a great way to consume this story. I will have a hard time waiting for the next book’s installment.
The dramatized adaptation of this audiobook is soooo good! I finished part one and immediately got this second part because I needed to finish the story!
Diana and Liam are really going through some things in this second half! A budding romance, being hunted by Kaden, being betrayed by allies, and now trying to stop the apocalypse of the universe! It was and emotional and anxiety inducing 😂
The narrators again were so perfect and the emotions shown in their performances had my emotions all over the place! It ends on a cliffhanger that had me shocked and saddened. When it ended, I just sat there for a second just trying to take everything in 😂 I hope they make the dramatized versions of the other books soon because I needed them now! 😭
Overall, I give the book 4⭐️. This second part of the story definitely makes up for the first part. I will say that the ending was a bit predictable even though I was really hoping to be proven wrong. I can see why people hype this story up. It’s basically two dumbasses who are ‘the chosen ones’ but are emotionally constipated. They both wanna play martyr. They both need therapy. I’ll probably pick up book 2 at some point cuz it does end in a cliffhanger.
This was INCREDIBLE. My favorite read of the year so far. I’ll come back and do a more thorough review, but this was everything and more. I’m already sad for the day I finish this series.
Seriously questioning my life’s choices. Pulled an all nighter the night before Thanksgiving because I simply just could not put this audiobook down.
Graphic Audio is definitely the way to go. I loved it, my review stands the same as part 1. The only thing to add to this review is that I did not see that ending coming. As much as I want to jump into book 2 I’m going to wait for the graphic audio to come out because I’m obsessed with the narrator’s voices and how well they portray their characters. It is the only way I will be recommending this book from here on out.
The Book of Azrael by Amber V. Nicole Gods and Monsters, book 1
Graphic Audio, full cast including Gabriel Michael and Marissa Clay as MMC and FMC The whole cast did a great job with this performance! For those not familiar with Graphic Audio, the book is performed with different narrators for each voice along with sound effects and music! It's a great time and the narrators really bring these charters to life and give them so much emotion! And I am on a quest to listen to everything thing Gabriel Michael has narrated, so there's that!
Dual POV, enemies to lovers, mental health rep, morally grey FMC, will do anything for sister, slow burn turns spicy, god MMC who just wants to be left alone, they are both powerful, gods and vampiric shapeshifters, banter, betrayal, monsters, high stakes, touch her/him and find out, both jealous and possessive, so much betrayal, cliffhanger!
Dianna does whatever is demanded of her to keep her sister safe. And as much as she hates who she is and what she has done, it is all worth it for Gabby. But when she runs into a new threat, everything changes and she turns on the one who has controlled her for so long. Samkiel was supposed to be gone, but now he is begrudgingly here and not happy about it. Dianna makes a new deal to ensure her sister's safety in return for helping him take down her previous master. But can she trust him as they scramble to reach a powerful relic before their enemies do?
This book is action packed and had me on the edge of my seat! I love that Dianna is strong and powerful but that she meets her match with Samkiel. As he does with her. Her banter and him learning it (he has not been around so is learning the modern world) is humorous and while a wanted to knock their heads together a few times, I adored their falling for each other! I also liked that Samkiel wasn't perfect and put together, but also had his own mental health issues to deal with. The ending had me staring at the wall and also scrambling to get to the next book!
I’ll be honest — I was a little confused at first by all the different names and types of creatures, but once I found my footing, the storyline completely captured my attention.
What struck me most was the sister bond. It was written so beautifully and felt so real. As an older sister myself, I connected deeply with Diana. Her protectiveness, her fear of losing the people she loves, and the weight she carries on her shoulders all hit close to home. I understood her in a way that made the story even more emotional and immersive.
So after waiting a while to get part 2 - it was not hard to get back into however, I found it more boring. Usually the second half of the book is ramping up and unfortunately in splitting them up and me having to wait on Libby for part 2 - it seems to have lost its momentum.
Also I want to say that for a “god” world ender…. It doesn’t seem possible that other people should be able to get as close to him in fights or give him a hard time….. it should be impossible and these others somehow over-powered?
Nevertheless, similar to Many romantasy books the ending was just wild. It was like an oh shit. Oh damn moment. And as such I suppose I will have to carry on with the series.
Holy crap! Great second part to this amazing graphic audio! The angst and love that forms slowly with Diana and Liam is so good. The ending, as in the last 5 minutes, was EPIC! Did not see that ending. You know something involving Gabby was going to happen but DANG! Looking forward to book 2!!

It was better than I thought it was gonna be. It was also very random and the word choice was often so awkward as written that in this like acting style version it came across as that kid who thought he was a prince on the playground. No one is using those words in modern times. The plot really did not make sense to me either. And I listened on 1.00x speed! I gave it every shot!
This was one of the books I was supposed to ARC read when I first started….I DNFed it quick because it wasn’t something I would normally read….when I saw that there was a graphic audio for this book I jumped on it & glad I did….that cliffhanger though…UGH!!! I need to get my hands on the graphic audio for the next book in this series
5 stars and I struggle for words. This book has everything. Amazing world building, banter, chemistry, enemies to friends to lovers, gods and monsters, badass characters, betrayal, AND A CLIFFHANGER ENDING???
Heartbreaking, gut wrenching, crying, sobbing mess. It doesn’t get easier even after already knowing what would happen….fucking hell. Love this series so much Dianna’s rage in the next book will be so good to listen to. I can’t wait for her burn to down the world and have Samkiel still love her. Wish the next book was already out on graphic audio

Listening to The Book of Azrael in dramatized audio form was an experience - the kind that makes it impossible to multitask because the story demands your full attention.
This format brings the world to life in a completely different way. The layered sound design, distinct character voices, and emotional delivery elevate everything: the tension, the danger, the banter, the quieter moments that hit you right in the chest. Gods, monsters, vampires, fates - every creature and every power feels present, not just described.
Dianna especially shines in audio. Her strength, sarcasm, protectiveness, and buried compassion come through so clearly that she feels real - fierce and lethal one moment, painfully human the next. And Samkiel? His voice alone explains why he belongs in the book husband category. The restraint, the power, the underlying conflict - it all lands harder when you hear it.
The pacing in audio is addictive. Scenes bleed into each other seamlessly, the action feels sharper, and the emotional moments linger longer. I caught myself saying “okay, just one more scene” far too many times - only to realize I was hours deep.
And the villain? Hearing him is somehow worse - colder, crueler, and genuinely unsettling. That quiet menace translates terrifyingly well in audio.
If you’re someone who loves full immersion, dramatized audiobooks, or just wants to experience this story in a way that feels cinematic and intense - this is absolutely the format to try.
🎧 Highly recommend. Headphones on. Emotions not protected.
The shift from enemies to lovers starting the last 2-5 minutes of part 1 to this book is whiplash inducing. I understand that forced proximity and enemies to lovers as a genre, but the complete 180° was so abrupt. I would have liked some subtly. That being said, this was really good. Honestly hated the first half, but this was like a completely different book. It felt more meet cute and was pretty spicy. I liked that we started to feel the characters develop actual personality and not just sassy jabs and comebacks, but if it has to be framed in the light of romantic intimacy is it really personality or is it that the only way the author is able to write emotional development is through romantic and sexual relationships? I felt her being a queen because Cayden couldn't create any other creatures like her was a bit of a stretch and felt like it was in there to fit with the unknown yet inherently powerful women trend we see in so many romance novels. I'm not knocking it, but it is cliche. I also was completely and utterly enraged while finishing this book. You telling me, that 8 minutes to the end is when we start getting some crazy action and then we end this whole borderline dumpster fire book, on the most disrespectful cliffhanger this side of the Mississippi? I was so enraged I had to stop and go cook a roast for dinner because I knew in 8 minutes we would not be answering anything and just ending the book. I didn't like this book, but I am stubborn and will read it so I can complain.
