it ended in a cliffhanger! I am not a fan of that never have been. I still gave it four stars because it is a good story. I enjoyed this particular series quite a bit. there wasn't as much loot this time. but what was found was rather valuable I think so the trade-off value-wise is pretty pretty good. this is my copy of an arc so the list of mistakes was sent back to the publisher to be corrected. hopefully it will be done before the book is actually published and you guys will get a smoother read. it's a great series and this was a good book in that series. I'm just not a big fan of cliffhangers like I said.

good. but seems a little disjointed

Good. Lots of action
1. The squirrels need to give up the idea of vengeance.
2. Why doesn’t the Imperial forces help?
3. Don’t give Alex another wife. The entire premise is misogynistic. Outdated. Ridiculous.

One star less because Alex was supposed to get help at the end and the chapter just faded away with no clear thought or any conclusion. Very weird!

Disappointing!!!

I really like this series but this installment was very disappointing, the story barely crawls ahead and honestly the humour has also worn thin, add to the fact the book is short (like everyone in the series) I am not sure I will buy the next one. May read if available on unlimited in the future. Maybe the economic compulsions now drive the author, but honestly this is how u kill a good series.

fun read

Xander is the type to start book 12 with a bang and never let up. We finally start to face off against the killers of his wives mom, we get political intrigue, great fights, more screen time for side characters in ways that advance the story, glorious army scale battles and fine out more about Xanders mom. Great stuff and looking forward to book 3

A great mix of build up, minor conflicts and an action packed end. Boerbolis shines again and the Squillers continue their doomed feud.

His newest great plans seemed very excessive at this point.

I have mixed feelings about the fight at Loyalty. The Mc seemed woefully underprepared for the endeavour on the long run, especially as the one thing that helped him survive was unknown to him..

great book but some spelling and grammar errors.

Love the book as always but this one seems a little rushed like it didn’t spend enough time with the final edit. If that is going to be the case you guys should think about making these kindle unlimited editions. That being said still looking forward to the next one.

At least he found another sword

I was hoping he'd bring his rank up to at least one or two finally and keep it there and get a stronger sword but not yet apparently. I understand he has to use the energy for seals but hopefully in the next book we have to go to Dragon Empire he has a higher rank

Shameless fun.
Although I hate the way these books are produced and fed to us in such small increments to maximise profits. The entertainment provided by the characters and story is wonderfull. This just about makes up for the business model, although I do feel each 2 books should be amalgamated into 1.

As always, a good read

The Baron keeps adding to his list of antagonists. Who in turn don't learn from the lessons the Baron teaches them. In short, the saga continues at pace. Great read.

Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap.

I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.

So good

Every book is so good but still the next one is even better. This had a totally crazy ending and of course, another cliffhanger. Write faster please
