Quickie Review: I absolutely loved this story but I hated the time lost between Levi, Maeve and Scott. I am usually not one for secret child romance because it’s usually always because the girl is being malicious and hiding the child from the father. But in this case, I understood why Maeve did what she did and I fully supported her. She had no other choice. This is definitely a he falls first and I inhaled it. Because even when he was angry with seeing Maeve again, he was still being pulled towards her. And no matter how much Maeve tried to deny it, it was there for her as well. There was absolutely no denying their chemistry and their romance. 5 Stars.

Nail biting and on the edge of the seat page turner, that kept me up well passed my bed time because this story was that good and i needed to keep reading to see what happens in each and every chapter.
5 years prior a 22 year old Maeve Jackson met and fell in love with a older mafia man, Don heir, Levi Gallo, even what he does she was all for it. They spent all summer together but she was his secret even his parents didn't know until plans got messed up, plans were set to play out with lies, threats and secrets that made Maeve run and go into hiding for years from Levi.
Now 5 years later Levi is in the same city where Maeve is at and his driver almost hit a young child running in the road screaming his mom that is being mugged. Little did he know the women that he's been hunting down to kill due to the past is the one being shot at. But the players of the past is very much present but what will they do next and to whom???

I loved this story and i actually cried reading parts of it which to me is the sign of a great book. Poor Maeve had been thru so much. losing her love, being threatened, running in fear, sick, having a baby, providing, surviving barely day to day a constant struggle. But she never gave up, she dug deep determined to give her son all the love she had and provide a decent stable home for him despite all the challenges. Levi lost his love thinking she had betrayed him and nearly got him killed. he's filled with thoughts of revenge and making her pay and then suddenly after 5 yrs he accidentally saves her life and that of her son and just can't bring himself to exact the revenge he's dreamed of for 5 long years. it ends up he has to step in to save her son from being taken by cps so plots an arranged marriage in order to secure his position as don of the mafia syndicate. but slowly details emerge that contradict details he thought were true, enemies keep coming after Maeve and things just don't add up. He must fight to get to the bottom of the mystery of maeve's behaviour and beliefs not adding up to details he had about what happened. but in order to find out the truth he must keep maeve and her son safe and that's a tough job when they keep getting attacked. and why does her son look so much like him as a child when maeve says he's not his. can they ever find out the truth, find their way back thru 5 yrs of hurt feelings, betrayal, revenge and lies to the love they once knew and what happens when levi discovers the child is his son and he's lost 5 yrs with them both? betrayal is much closer to home and family then he ever dreamed and its going to take all his skill, cunning and fight in him to save his love and protect what's his. great characters, rich details, awesome world building. tons of explosive excitement, drama, danger, plots twists and ultimately found love that was lost.

Fighting for their Second Chance -
The last person Maeve expected to run into after she escaped was the man who apparently had a bounty on her head, so she couldn’t understand why he helped her when she was in danger. However, Maeve soon found herself back in Levi’s life after he discovered her son had disappeared and the identity of her closest friend who was looking after her son was fake, which ultimately resulted in their lives being in danger. Even though Levi was still upset about their past, he offered Maeve a chance to keep her and her son safe, but his father got involved before she could make a decision.
Unfortunately, Maeve and Levi didn’t realised their agreement would be the beginning on a long a bumpy road to happiness filled with secrets, betrayal, violence, kidnapping, family drama and an all out war. I absolutely loved this story! I devoured it in a day, hooked from start to finish!

Oh my goodness. I actually had tears in my eyes at this one! The writing is great, so emotional and real. The story is a full one and is so detailed. There might be triggers for some. The crime world she got involved in was complicated and our H fared no better, he was just hurt in different ways.
He was still on love with her but thought she betrayed him. She needs him to keep her son.
Right away the picture that was painted was so spot on. I don't know m w some skate by and get things handed to them while others have to kill themselves working and still get nowhere. It's a harsh life and the one they lived was because of the mafia and because people can be cruel. The scenes she experienced as a single mother were so hard to read. But all too true. This man should have investigated better. She wasn't bad and they had some bad people in their lives. I'm happy things worked out for them. Money doesn't solve everything. But it sure can help. A complex story that is so real and emotional!

I enjoyed this book, it was a lovey read, but I did have a couple of issues with the timing of things in it, one chapter would say something was weeks away and then in the next chapter it would be happening, but it wasn't something that took away from the story.
Although it is meant to be an age-gap romance this is only mentioned once within the book, and to be honest was something that I quiet often forgot and I would end up putting both characters at the same age.
Saying this, I demolished the book in a handful of sittings and I would be very interested to see where the rest of this series is heading!.

The title really does tell it all. This story was one of intrigue form the very jump. Maeve and Levi met years ago and had this intense chemistry from that very moment, they fell in love deeply, told each other things that were in secret, but it all came to a crashing halt and sent Maeve on the run. She has spent the last 5 years surviving and making sure her son was always taken care of, but things are starting to spiral out of control for her and that’s when Levi walks back in her life. The twisted stories that they both were told keeps you on your toes wondering when they will sort it out. The attraction and love between them never really died only fed by lies and a hate that wasn’t hate at all. I truly loved their story.

Twisted Trust is the 10th book in the Mafia Lords of Sin series and Levi Gallo is the MMC in this one and he is as dangerous as he is beautiful. There's intrigue, danger, betrayal, and secrets that surround Levi and Maeve. The story is engaging and the two equally torturned MCs are well-developed. There are impossible choices that each MCs must make and their journey will grab a hold of your attention and not let go until the very end. Not only is the story entertaining and nuanced, but the spice is top-shelf. As the first 9 books in this series, it ends in HEA and will leave you satisfied. Overall, I would definitely recommend this one.

Maeve is the one who got away, possibly with murder but Levi has doubts about her betrayal but he needs proof or taking her back threatens everything he's worked for. Maeve is the perfect mamma bear and I loved Levi's protective alpha maleness. The chemistry was hot and the plot kept twisting so I ended up reading it all in one sitting. I'm so glad that this book is part of a series because I absolutely couldn't put it down.

I really wanted a book I could be captivated by the characters and the plot. This one fulfilled all I wanted. Due to a misunderstanding orchestrated by a rival, a couple were separated for 5 years. An unfortunate assault causes them to find each other as their son runs in front of his car. He knew nothing about her having his child. This starts a series of events and deaths that eventually let to them getting together again. The mystery of who managed the misunderstanding is finally revealed. It was a fascinating read which I greatly enjoyed. High recommend! HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.

Very enjoyable book. Lovers to enemies and then back to lovers. Misunderstanding on both sides but what they don't know is that they are being manipulated by the same person. The betrayal reveal is brilliant -- their 4-year-old son Scott is the one that identifies the primary culprit. The secondary culprit is revealed during the attempted wedding and that was a huge surprise to me. Issues are resolved, traitors are eliminated, and the second wedding attempt for Levi and Maeve is successful.

As always with this author you can count on being taken on a journey you won't soon forget with her stories and Twisted Trust is no different. From start to finish with this book and these characters you're so entranced in the story you've finished before you even realize it. It's dark, gripping, emotional and consuming. Levi and Maeve go through it all and they take us along with them every single step of the way. You'll feel every emotion throughout their story and by the end you'll be left depleted. Another fantastic story!

This book grabs you and takes you along one emotional journey. Maeve is caught in an impossible situation. She ran away from Levi but is once again within his grasps this time with a child and DCFS threatening to take him. Levi gives her a way to keep him if she marries him. Their journey is tumultuous but long over due. The feelings are there between them but will Maeve take the chance with Levi to find happiness.
