I read this to my 8 year old son at his request so I am rating it from his perspective. He loved this book and now has the first one on hold at the library since he didn't realize it is a series. He liked the teenage characters and their drama solving the Dr. Wackerson mystery. He also liked the action of the characters. I think he zoned out a bit on the more girlie issues like Lily and Candy both liking Dustin. Lily is a strong female character that we both liked and want to know more about her, we look forward to reading the full series as it comes out.

Also, we liked learning that the author, Faith Wilkins, is a teenager. How cool! She has done a great job creating an enjoyable and exciting read for kids. It will be fun to watch her and read along as she hones her writing skills.
