What if the most important chapter of your life is one you haven’t written yet?

Inside, you’ll discover how Rethink what it really means to grow olderReflect on where you’ve beenReimagine what could be nextRedefine your 3rd Act with authenticity, purpose, and joyWhether for your retirement or a meaningful retirement gift that inspires, this book is a heartfelt companion where you’ll find guided reflection questions and a 3rd Act Blueprint to help you shape a future that’s intentional, fulfilling, and uniquely yours. Truman Capote once said life was a good play but with a badly written third act. While we can't change the past — we can absolutely rewrite our story to reflect who we were always meant to be.
The subtitle of the book is A Baby Boomer’s Guide to Find Meaning in Life After 60. Yes, I’m at the stage in my life where I am reading self help books like this.
I like the idea of the book. Really focusing on what she calls the third act of your life. How do you want to approach this last act? What is important to you? It’s not about creating a bucket list, but creating a blue print for the last phase of your life.
It reads almost like a power point presentation. Each paragraph is about 2-3 sentences and then it’s double spaced before the next small paragraph. So one page is probably about 1 normal paragraph in any other book. I don’t know if this is to make it easy for seniors to read, but it definitely makes it read quickly.
The other thing is at the 91% of the book, she says that now we are getting to the heart of the book. That seems a little late in the book. She spends the first ninety percent of the book examining herself and how she came to the realizations about her third act. She does pose questions for the reader to respond in their own journal, but mainly it’s her journey.
The blueprint that she presents at the end of the book guides you through creating your own third act. If you are looking to dive deep into your emotions and desires through journaling and answering guided questions, then this is a good opportunity. I’m not sure that I’ll be doing it, but I do like the idea of thinking about this time in my life as the third act.
I started reading this because my friend was turning 60 and was devastated by it. She just was reflecting on all that wasn’t possible in her life anymore. I had already passed and dealt and moved and am happy but was wondering if what I was saying was good for her and other s. This book put my beliefs into words. Gave me a clearer picture of what I’ve been doing and some improvements on how to live life fuller. Very well written. A pleasure to pass on to my friend.
