Promise Me Forever

As a divorced single father, I live by three
1. Make sure every day my daughter, Paisley, knows she’s number one in my life. No. Matter. What.
2. Keep contact with my cheating ex-wife to a minimum.
3. Turn Maxwell Wineries into a legacy that keeps Paisley set for life.

When I hire Lexi to look after my daughter, I realize I need another don’t pursue Paisley’s nanny.
But even if I had that rule it wouldn’t matter. Because I'm breaking it already.

Hold Me Forever

The last thing I need to do is fall for hockey’s sexiest bad boy.
Helping celebrities rehabilitate their image is my job, and I’m a pro. I don’t make mistakes. And I definitely don’t flirt with clients. Ever. There is just one little problem with my newest client.
Tyler Maxwell is every woman’s dream come true. He’s hot, protective, and so damn tempting--especially when he's coaching kids’ hockey.
Every time he flexes those muscled arms, I can’t help but stare at them. And watching a semi-naked Tyler swim in a pool is no hardship whatsoever.
But when he catches me in the act and shamelessly flirts with me, I realize I’m in over my head.
Do I dare have a fling and risk my heart with a player who’s smoother than ice?

Show Me Forever

I moved to Chicago six months ago, determined to finally open my own bakery. My landlady was this sweet woman who treated me like her granddaughter.
Then she sold the house. Now the devil himself is my landlord and neighbor since I live in the guesthouse on his property. Declan Maxwell is moody, unreasonable, and takes himself far too seriously. Unfortunately for me, he’s also damn sexy.

When he shows up on my doorstep in the middle of the night ordering me to turn down the music, I give him hell. Secretly, I’m also checking him out. We go toe to toe like this almost every night.
The man is impossible. But here’s the thing. I need a place to stay while I save for my business and this place is a steal. So, I need to put up with this handsome devil, though from a distance—because he’s far too gorgeous.

Then one day I come home injured from work and he surprises me by taking care of me.
And kissing me.
And just like that, all my best intentions go up in smoke.

I thought this 3-book series from Audible was a nice listen, however the word "swoon" was an overkill in the stories. I thought if this author mentions swooning one more time it was exhausting.
Find another word other than that and it would have been fine.

Overall a good listen and the narrators did a good job performing the story.

Promise Me Forever
I can’t tell you how much I loved this single dad and nanny romance. Promise Me Forever is Tate and Lexi’s story and what a HOT read it was. Best of all, Tate is one of six Maxwell brothers so we know, we have more books to look forward to reading. Tate is a single father to his daughter, Paisley, and he has scars from his divorce. Lexi is a teacher, but needs a summer job to help with her mother’s medical bills. When she interviews with Tate for the nanny position, she can’t get over her attraction to him. Tate is in the same boat, lol. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say I absolutely love the Maxwell family and I can’t wait to read more of this series. Do yourself a favor and grabbed your copy and get ready to fall in love with the Maxwell siblings.

Hold Me Forever
I’ve enjoyed this author’s books for years and she continues to impress me with her beautifully written, steamy books. This second book in her Maxwell Brothers series is centered around Tyler, the NHL star goalie. He’s gotten himself in some hot water and needs to improve his image with the team sponsors. It didn’t help that he got injured defending his family, which will always come first. To help him get back in a good standing with the owners and sponsors, he’s sent to help out Kendra at the Chicago Sports Center. He’ll be working with underprivileged kids and teaching them about hockey. Tyler can’t believe the chemistry he feels with Kendra and the feeling is mutual. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens in this low angst book. I bet you’ll fall in love with the Maxwell family like I have.

Show Me Forever
Liz moved to Chicago to fulfill her dream of opening her own bakery. She’s given herself two years to make it happen or she’ll move back to Sunnyvale. She lucked out with Helen as her landlord, but Helen had to sell her house and now her new landlord is Declan Maxwell, the gorgeous, grumpy lawyer. Liz likes to dance and play her music loud to wind down from work. Declan says she’s playing it too loud. Will they remain at odds or will they indulge in their chemistry? I just love these Maxwell brothers and how they take care of their family and the ones they love. Liz is close with her family also and misses them, especially her sister, Rose, who recently had a baby girl, Amy. I want leave any spoilers, but I will say if you enjoy a steamy romance centered around family, you won’t go wrong by reading this fantastic book. I look forward ro reading more from this author.

If you need some romances with just the right amount of angst (not much), alpha MMCs, and sassy FMCs, this is a great series. while technically standalone, I recommend reading in order as there is an overarching story that runs thru them.
