Fantastic book and author! Please write a third book to this sequel.
I loved how well the author expressed the characters' emotions and relationships in this book. Any book that makes me tear up is a good one. I pre-ordered this book a year ago after reading the first one and had been eagerly waiting to read this one. And, might I say, wow, it was good! Thank you for writing this incredibly thrilling book. I literally could not stop reading until the book was finished. Please write a third book to this sequel.
I adored the first book. I knew it would be difficult for the second book to beat the first book as I love a good transformation and discovery storyline.
Like the first book, the storyline of this sequel is fast paced and exciting and I continued to adore the characters. Without spoiling anything, you are in for a surprise (or few) towards the end. This a perfect winter read as the nights draw in closer.
This is definitely a book where I needed a previously recap as it’s so long since I read book 1, but I remember adoring it. I don’t know if that meant that I’d over hyped this book too much in my head because it was highly anticipated.. I wanted to love it just as much, but I’m devastated to say that somehow it missed the mark. Felt very very slow going for the first half even though it follows straight on from book 1 which was left on a cliffhanger. It picked up towards the end and had a few unexpected moments, it just didn’t excite me as much as book 1 did.
I do want to read the third one. However, this one had inconsistencies and needed a stronger round of edits. Also, Christianity jump scare. It was *fine*.
