Make Them Bleed: A Dark Masked Romcom

Rate this book
He’s secretly stalking her inbox. She’s secretly hiring masked killers. Love’s never been this twisted—or this deadly.

Mega influencer Arby Kate’s murder shocked the world when five masked men ended her livestream… and her life. Now, months later, her sister Juno Kate is obsessed with revenge, turning to the dark web for vigilante justice. Arrow Finn, Juno’s best friend and hopelessly devoted secret admirer, panics when he discovers her dangerous plan—thanks to the spy software he’s secretly installed on her computer.

Determined to protect her, Arrow poses as an online masked vigilante expert to help Juno track down the killers. But as they chase shadows through the neon-lit streets of Saint Pierce, the lines between friendship, obsession, and love blur dangerously.

Can Arrow keep his identity hidden while Juno’s quest for justice spirals hilariously, chaotically out of control? Or will their twisted game of masks finally expose the truth they’re both too scared to admit?

Darkly comedic, outrageously romantic, and deliciously suspenseful. This masked-stalker romcom will steal your heart…if it doesn’t kill you first.

Arrow & Juno edition

💻🎙️ System Update: Saint Pierce Files – Arrow & Juno Edition 🎙️💻

Breaking news from the neon streets of Saint Pierce: Logan Chance has officially fried my circuits with Make Them Bleed. Part dark suspense, part rom-com chaos, and all the best-friends-to-lovers tension my heart could handle.

Arrow Finn—tech wizard, secret stalker (the sweet kind, promise), and employee of THE Dean Maddox—finds himself way over his head when Juno dives into vigilante justice🫣. Spyware, masks, and hacked feelings😳 Yeah, it’s a mess, but the kind of mess that kept me glued to every page.

And because no Saint Pierce book is complete without a few familiar faces, keep your eyes peeled—this one has some surprise appearances that make the city feel alive and buzzing with connections.…let’s just say I was Greedy for more😜

The vibe? Imagine if your favorite true crime podcast got hijacked by hackers, streamed live from the back alleys of Saint Pierce, and somehow ended with a swoony love confession. Dark, funny, suspenseful, and surprisingly tender all at once.

Also—bonus points to Logan for that killer cover art. Perfectly unhinged. Perfectly Saint Pierce.

Wow, this was so uniquely amazing! Every book I read by Logan I’m sucked in from page one and this is another book that did not disappoint! The story had me with all the mystery, thrill and the witty banter and I absolutely loved the Characters! Arrow, and his super protectiveness and Juno, she is just cool. I love the friendship that’s weaved into the story and the great chemistry between the characters! I highly recommend this story!

This was an exciting read. The first book in a new series. It has suspense, humor, thrills and chemistry. Best friends Juno and Arrow solves a mystery that keeps you hanging on. Never a dull moment. I like that he brings characters from previous books in it. Great Job Logan

The best type of chaos
I loved Juno and Arrow. Their best friends to lovers romance was sweet, steamy and romantic. But they are diving into a mysterious, dangerous, twisted, dark and suspenseful world as they try to solve her sister’s death.
With vengeance as Juno’s driving force and protecting her as Arrow’s reason for living these two have secrets galore, mutual longing and growing chemistry only two of them.
Arrow’s friends add lightness and humour, there’s plenty of witty banter and sassy texts, tension and emotion.
High class tech that ties this to the Maddox Security series, video games, sweet-stalking, past Presidents, drama, action and so many twists and turns.
I couldn’t put this down and I’m looking forward to the next instalment to this new series.

Dark Rom-com

Make Them Bleed by Logan Chance takes readers to the dark side of St Pierce. Or more the dark web side. The side where people are not afraid to extinguish a life on a livestream. The side where people hide behind masks and keep their intentions close to the vest.

Juno is on a destructive path ever since she lost her sister determined to find out the people and reasons behind her death since the cops have shuffled the case to the side. While her best friend, Arrow, is doing everything to keep her alive, even if that means he has to keep secrets. This techy, crime-driven, rom-com will surprise readers as they go along for the ride with characters you may have seen before and unexpected twists along the way.

I rarely give five-star reviews. This novel isn't the perfect I think I have to have for a 5-star, but is pretty darn close. It sucked me in and held me tight for the better part of two days. It has most of what I want -- sweet romance, intelligent protagonists in a close-knit gang of intelligent side kicks. It gave humor (I mean, president masks?), angst, disappointment, love, serious crime work that would normally belong to law enforcement but with the kind of footwork the cops just don't have time for. Yeah, it was a pretty great effort. I can no longer say my favorite Logan Chance novels are the rom com. This sets a high bar for the rest of the Pretty Deadly Things series

Dark, LOL moments, heat, characters you want to hang out with and you definitely want them to have your back! This book had me hooked, the edge, the suspense, the dark, the wit, and falling in love with some great characters….plus you see a few old favs…I loved Juno and Arrow's dynamic
And the twists had me gasping in surprise a couple times….

Logan Chance gave me everything I could ask for in a suspense filled romance. It had drama, action, sizzling passion, secrets with thrills and chills-making a wild ride I couldn’t put down. Balanced against the danger was humor that gave me a breather from the intensity. Juno and Arrow’s friends to lovers journey was perfect. Glimpses of past characters was wonderful for me as a fan but anyone could follow the storyline connections with ease. Arrow’s dominant side had me fanning myself. Looking forward to the next in this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If I could I would give it 10 🌟🌟🌟🌟

O.M.G.!!! 😱😱🤯🤯

Legit, my favorite so far of Logan's books!

Arrow and Juno are amazing. The story keeps you guessing throughout the entire book and their connection and love for each other is prominent. Arrow would literally burn (or bleed 😉) the world for her. The rest of the gang is awesome too. Not to mention we have some old fav characters as well.

I was mad that I couldn't sit and read this all in one shot because I just had to know what happened!

So, so good!!

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing story. It was well written and had me completely hooked from the beginning. It was so unlike any other story I’ve read before and I really enjoyed that. It was a bit dark but still had romance and lots of steam but what kept me hooked was the mystery. I can’t wait to read more about these characters as the series progress.

I must have started, erased, and restarted this review a half dozen times. I love this book so much, but there are so many words battling in my brain for dominance, I’m struggling to put together coherent sentences.

Author Logan Chance kept me snuggled in my recliner for 51/2 hours—zero regrets! Action from the first chapter to the last, spice to curl your toes, humor that’s laugh out loud, and sadness that will touch your soul.

Arrow and Juno are well fleshed out, likable, adaptable, and formidable as a team. The supporting characters are all very likable as well. I can easily see each of Arrow’s friends finding their own book and HEA. Speaking of … Looks like Gage is up next!

What a page turner!
The formatting style for Make Them Bleed made it super easy to read and I found myself telling myself, ‘Just another chapter’.

Once we got to the spice (don’t worry, the spice was absolutely spicin’), I unfortunately disconnected a little. I felt like that type of spicy didn’t suit the characters and it left me a little confused.
I think I understand why the hint of dominance was there, I’m just not sure for me personally if I felt it was a good fit.

I loved the mystery behind the ‘who done it?’ and was constantly trying to make my educated guesses and to who could be behind it.
I definitely did NOT see that little sneaky twist there towards the end!
Once I hit the heat around the 85% mark, I couldn’t put the book down. I HAD to find out the mastermind behind it all and I loved the direction the story took.

A happy (ish?) ending to conclude a super enjoyable read.
Thanks so much for allowing me the chance to read and provide my review!

Lots of Twists and Turns!

Make Them Bleed is book 1 in the Pretty Deadly Things series. I thought this was a fantastic introduction into a new series that has an intriguing cast of characters. This can be read as a standalone book. It has its own conclusion and HEA but there is a little tie in to some of Logan Chances other series’. Some characters pop in for a visit from The Maddox Alpha Team series and The Maddox Bravo Team series but if you have not yet read those, no worries, all that will happen is you will end up curious by those characters too!

Make Them Bleed has a ton of suspense and danger with a little stalkery action. I loved the unexpected humor and whit and the perfect amount of spicy attraction. This was quite entertaining and I can’t wait to jump into the next book in the series, Make Them Cry!

Best friends Juno and Arrow are determined to find out who murdered Juno's sister, Arby. Some humour as Arrow and his friends try to hide their identity from Juno by wearing masks and using voice modulators to try and discover who the five men were involved in Arby's murder. However, Arrow slips up and Juno realises who he is and in turn which friends of his are also helping them but not before Arrow and Juno have crossed a line and become more than friends. As their relationship develops some unexpected twists come to light complicating what Juno thought was just five men involved. Eventually all the perpetrators are caught and justice prevails for all of them with some having a more final outcome than others. Some of the technical stuff left me a bit confused at times.

Make Them Bleed

By Logan Chance
Main Characters: Arrow and Juno
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
This is the first book in a new series. Arrow works at Maddox Security. He has been in love with Juno since their school days but Juno has no idea. I liked the story but I like more alpha men rather than nerdy. It was also more techy but witty and I had a hard time with the metaphors, and there were so many of them. Arrow has a great group of friends that help him with trying to help Juno find who killed her sister. So there is suspense, humor, romance. This was well written.

Juno is determined to honor her last promise to her sister and that means finding out who is responsible for what happened to her and ensure they are held accountable. Needing help she resorts to unorthodox methods uncaring of the danger that it would place her in.

Arrow is Juno’s best friend but his feelings for her run much deeper. Realizing the situation that she has placed herself in he is determined to keep her safe even if that means agreeing to help her while ensuring she doesn’t realize it is him.

The intrigue keeps you on edge, the surprises keep coming and the mayhem escalates as Juno and Arrow take us on quite the adventure.

Fact Check Please

While I liked this book, a few things rubbed me. First off, if a historical figure plays a large role in your story, especially one no one remembers so they will probably look up on their own, a quick search can confirm you didn't take the time to check your facts before you used them as a PASSWORD. Lazy? Ignorant? Either way, seriously annoying and almost made me mad enough to DNF. Simple due diligence. Also, the familial relationships were just off for me; not quite believable. Aside from that, I loved the gang, couldn't follow the nerd lingo but was immersed, missed the why and who completely, and enjoyed the sexy times.

Make Them Bleed hit all the right notes! This dark romantic suspense was a fantastic read! Arrow is the perfect sexy nerd who realizes he needs to become a stalker to keep his precious Juno safe. This lively cast of characters was all in to help solve the murder mystery of Juno's sister, Arby. With so many players involved, this slow-burn whodunit was full of great internal thoughts as well as solid banter bringing out the emotions in each scene. I loved this book, and I was thoroughly enthralled!

This is the first book in a new series by Logan Chance, and he did not disappoint! I love the friendship between Arrow & Juno, Arrow is very protective of his best friend, especially after the death of her sister. With plenty of twists and turns, suspense, secrets and chemistry this book pulls you in from the very first page. The banter and humour had me laughing throughout. It was also great catching up with some of Logan’s past characters. After 'meeting' Arrow’s friends in this book I can’t wait for what is to come next in this series.

This book was edge of my seat amazing!

The suspense kept me turning pages. And that plot twist was one I didn’t see coming.

Juno is grieving in her own ways over the death of her sister. Dark web browsing kinda grief.

Arrow is her best friend who just wants to protect her however he can. Even if it’s by way of stalking her keystrokes.

Sometimes loving someone makes you do stupid things that seem right. But will that love be enough in the end or will it be the end?

I’d definitely recommend this book to people who are up for some thrilling suspense mixed with love.

SUSPENSEFUL!

Logan Chance’s foray into dark romance is a success! Juno’s search for the truth behind her sister’s murder, along with help from five masked vigilantes disguised as dead presidents, will keep you turning the pages. The suspense builds with a turn of events that will catch you unawares. Arrow’s love for Juno, along with his desire to keep her safe and alive, builds from a slow burn into an inferno. If you love romance and suspense, Make Them Bleed, is the book for you.

This is a gripping read full of action, suspense, humor, and some spicy romance. Logan Chance has delivered another amazing story that makes you feel like you are right there and want to be part of the action. This is the first book in the Pretty Deadly Things series. This story was a rollercoaster ride that pulled me in from the very first page and kept me on the edge of my seat with the unexpected twists until the very end.

Logan has a way with his writing that just makes you fall in love with all of the characters. Arrow and Juno are a perfect match that complement each other, and they’ve been best friends since school. Arrow would do anything for Juno. Arrow puts himself in a position that proves the love he has always had for Juno to keep her safe. I would love to tell you if it all works out like he plans, but what fun would that be?

You need to read this one today! You won’t be disappointed!

Wow! Captivating! An incredible start to a new series. Logan did a fantastic job of weaving the lives of best friends Juno and Arrow together. Their story has everything: suspense, secrets, turbulence, endearing traits, humor, and undeniable chemistry. Juno is the tenacious FMC. Arrow the protective MMM. I also enjoyed the small but important parts involving characters from previous books. All five stars!

Vengeance and Grief

Juno suffers a tragedy so deep that vengeance is her only thought within her grief. Her best friend Arrow has always been present for her in ways she never imagined. This dark romance was heartbreaking as well as emotionally devastating. While the chemistry between Juno and Arrow was off-the-charts the mystery behind her desire to see justice served was filled with twists and turns. I couldn’t put this book down.

I really liked the main characters and the friendship group. I thought this was really good and cohesive.

I like the crime element, the reasons for pursuing it outside of the police.

I felt the pacing and transitions from one situation to the next didn’t quite gel. Which then made some parts of the book not make sense at that particular point or the transition feel rushed.

Arrow and Juno's story was an interesting ride. I will admit some of the language went over my head- technologically wise I have no clue- but it definitely was a great friends to lovers story. I loved the connection to Maddox Security and Arrow's friends who had his back unconditionally. I am excited to get their stories in the future. Humor, danger, and there were plenty of suspenseful moments as the group worked to undercover secrets and find Juno's sister's murderer. And the outcome of who started it all- wow! Honestly didn't see that coming at first!

ARROW AND JUNO

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

This story starts with the murder of Juno’s sister that leads to Arrow helping Juno find the murderers. Arrow and his friends form a young adult sleuthing group that tries to solve the murder of Juno’s sister, Arby. The story didn’t keep me engaged as much as I thought it would, hence the rating. It does engage about halfway through the story and became intriguing, keeping this reader engaged.

WOW this book kept me on edge, some many twists that keep us guessing. I love Arrow & Juno their chemistry could light a fire, then Arrows friends Gage, Knight and Ozzy add more to the story. All of them so tight and loyal to each other who have their backs. I loved how Dean was included in the story too. Maddox Security at its best helping. I can’t wait to see more from the guys.
