ASIN moved from less recent edition

In this sixth, and final, episode of the Locus Poll nominated, international bestselling, Dragoneer Saga, King Richard, his Nightshade, and the legions of mudged dragons it controls, are coming to take the Mainland throne from the Dragoneers, using powerful teardrops they extracted from the lesser wyrms via torture.

Meanwhile Crimzon, Clover, and 9 year old, Princess Amelia, Zahrellion and Jenka De Swasso's strange daughter, accidentally release something far worse than a sky full of inbred wyrms.

Terror, destruction, and death await the Dragoneers, their dragons, and their children in a gripping conclusion that delivers an end to the saga that will satisfy Dragoneer, Crimzon and Clover, and even The Wardstone Trilogy's fans.

The Royal Dragoneers - Book One of the saga, was deemed one of the top indie fantasy releases of 2010 by Fantasy Book Critic, and was listed in the first ever Publishers Weekly Indie Select issue in Dec. 2010. Dragoneer Book 6

The Dragoneer finale turns into a family affair as they defend the Kingdom one final time from old enemies and new.

By the end of this series things have gotten pretty squirrelly. The alien feud, crashed spacecraft, and gaseous home world left me shaking my head. Jenka and Amelia have divine powers that make them so invincible that its just too much. Regardless, we get a satisfying conclusion and a mostly happy ending, considering the number of characters that didn't make it. I really enjoy how all of the works by Mathias take place in the same world, just different time periods, so you get some overlapping context.

The Dragoneers just can't seem to catch a break...Richard has escaped and on the warpath; and if that wasn't bad enough, Crimzon, Clover, and Amelia have unleashed an evil that is far worse than him.
Now the Dragoneers are in a war that will test them in ways they never thought possible, and one that will have dire consequences for everyone involved.

Blood and Royalty is the perfect finale to the Dragoneers Saga. Whether you read it as a standalone book or as part of the series, this is a book you will not regret reading!
M.R. Mathias has an amazing talent, and this is just another proof of it. He works magic with his words; he knows exactly what to say and when to say it, transporting you to his world in just a few sentences. You are right in the middle of everything, and he makes it feel so real. It is very easy to be sucked into the book and forget that there is a life outside of it's pages!
Mathias always has characters that are fully developed, relatable, and complex, and this series is a perfect example. The Dragoneers are the same way. You already know them like they are family, but this book takes them to the brink of destruction-making them change and react. Nobody will be the same after this, and you are along with them watching them evolve.
As soon as you start reading this book you know it is something special. The story grabs you and doesn't let you go, and this is a book everyone will enjoy-especially fantasy lovers. You will not regret picking this one up I can promise you that!

While Blood and Royalty is the sixth in a series, it stands out very well as a stand-alone, with enough backstory to keep you in the loop, but not so much as to make reading this story impossible. Don't be afraid to jump straight into the story!
The tale of Dragoneers keeping the world from falling into disrepute has spread across the lands, and now the mad King Richard is on his way back, attempting to retake the lands he was forced from by his brother and their families. With a touch of insanity, he and the Nightcrawler are terrorising the islands and attempting to make Jenka's life a living hell.
This story is short, taking me less than eight hours of solid reading to get through it, and I was hooked from the start. Dragons, elves, battles between good and evil? Who wouldn't love that? Well-written and a wonderful pace, clearly the artwork of a master.
The characters are lively and realistic, people you would depend on if your life was in danger (Well, all but Richard). Jenka, Amelia and Clover are weird, March is solid and ready for anything, and the wyrms seem happy to go along for the ride. I loved Zah's role in the story, and Jericho's steadfast kingishness. And for hell's sake, who let the nine-year-old wield a magic sword?
With a graceful and heart-breaking ending, this is definitely one story you will want to read, and I will definitely be looking out for others in the series!

Blood and Royalty: Dragoneer Saga Book Six
A Review By RF Cisneros

There are been many stories of the fantasy genre out there, some good and some not so good. I will state in this review that his story is well written for it has allowed me to escape the world of reality and enter a world of fantasy that has been crafted by his mind and imagination. There are not many other authors that can do as such. I can also say without any shadow of a doubt that the sixth and final installment of the Dragoneer Saga, Blood and Royalty is by far M.R. Mathias’s best and most entertaining work of the series. He closes off this series with great character development and vivid landscapes. I was given the honor and opportunity to review this story by someone I can with no shame call a friend. Mathias is a renowned independent author who has over the years penned several stories that he has with his career showed us that there are such things as dragons. With every story he pens, he has shown growth and a flair for the genre that is known as fantasy, that I can say matches the greats in his genre. I say this not because he’s a friend, I say this because I’m a fan of the genre and I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this and his other books.

Magic. Dragons. And murder, oh my. Blood and Royalty, Dragoneer Saga Book 6 is exciting, fanciful, and touched with a bit of romance for it is hard to love in times of war while the lands and home of innocent people are being ripped apart by its clutches. Fast-paced, exciting, inventive, and riveting, the author writes you a whole new world filled with magic and glory, destruction and salvation, romance and hate, and the strength of family bonds. This book is an excellent example of why you must believe in magic, for it takes you to places that you have never been with elves, and dragons, with new twists to bring something special to this story. If you loved The Lion King, think of this as the struggle between two brothers, turned into a full out magical war zone.

This fantasy novel contains various thrilling moments that make me keep on reading from first pages. The plot line is very intriguing, captivating, and provoking. I did not read this saga yet, I borrow this last book using my Unlimited subscription (it was suggested to me because I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre) and I'm glad I did it. Every scene is well-crafted, the author describes a world where huge and deadly dragons are fighting to rule the mainland. I'm now excited to start reading the previous books of this wonderful saga.
