Having a sister was something Harper Donaldson had only wished for in her dreams. When a letter came telling her she not only had a sister, but she was coming to visit Holly, Montana in person within a weeks’ time, Harper panics.
Chloe Summerfield grew up in a loving home with an adopted family, but always wondered who else might be out there. Given the right tools and a little bit of time, she found out she had a sister and has wasted no time arranging to meet her long lost sibling.
Would the meeting he everything both women hope for?
Born and raised in Northern Indiana, Krista now resides in Northern Lower Michigan. (apparently she wasn't getting enough snow in Indiana:)) She is married to a very supportive man, Chip, who allows her to follow her true passion of writing and never complains when she is pirated away on her computer for hours. He even helps with proof-reading and is her “in-house” editor and her idea sounding board. She is also a mother of 4 ornery children who keep her plenty busy. With an addition of 2 beautiful chocolate lab sisters and 2 playful cats, there is never a dull or spare moment in her household.
Krista has always loved to read and would often sit up for hours into the night not able to put down a book until she was finished. She still reads when she can but her main focus is creating her own stories to share with the world.
A short story about Chloe, who had been adopted, finding her sister and finally meeting her. A sweet story featuring separated sisters Chloe and Harper and the lead up to them finally meeting each other. Had some great male supporting characters.
Krista Ames, Love Takes the Cake - I'm glad I read this story. It's a different way of getting a second chance with a failed love. I respected the man's actions and was glad to see there was communications between the two. Interesting little story; good for a coffee break. Minor editing needed. 4*
Krista Ames, Sisters - I forgot I didn't care for this author and read my second story (?) by her. I guess this is part of series because the story just ends and in a cliffhanger. There isn't enough of a story to get involved. Minor editing needed. 2*
Krista Ames, An Unexpected Twist - A funny story about the relationship between two brothers, and the instant romance between one brother and the woman he met during dangerous weather. Minor editing needed, but the story flowed without too much distraction; except for this silly part: not enough time to run to the house, but can spend time breaking locks? Contains sex and the story takes place in a little more than 24 hours. My first and last read by this author. 2*
"Sisters" (A Montana Series Short Story) by Krista Ames was a free read and is the continuation of the series. Chloe Smithfield looked into her past and found out that her birth parents had died. She also found out that she had a sister named Harper. The Smithfields adopted Chloe and she had a great life with her adopted parents. The only problem was that she felt guilty about looking into her background.
This is a very quick read, and continues Harper's story from "Harpers Wish" by Krista Ames. You'll enjoy it and keep wanting to know more.
Good introduction for second book but not a novella. There's really no story here. Should be a prologue in the second book. I expected something of consequence to happen in a story. The four stars are for the writing style and the fact that it does make you want to read the actual books. So good job to author!
This was a cute read about two sisters meeting for the first time. For a short story there was plenty of emotion and some wonderful supporting characters. I love the ending, you can't not smile.
