Trapped and alone, Jaxon is a prisoner of the bloodsucker. As the truth unravels around him, he’s forced to confront who he really is.
Close behind, Quinn is leading a ragtag band of allies on a mission to rescue her friend. She soon realizes the Endless Sea is hiding more than just dangerous monsters.
Jaxon and Quinn must race against sea and time to stop the bloodsucker before he destroys everything—and everyone—they care about.

Protector of the Stones by J. R. Geraci is a fiery finish to the Stone Guild Series 🔥
The gang is back and fiercer than ever. Jaxon is held captive at sea on the Bloodsucker's ship. He must find his way back to his friends but more importantly face his true self. Quinn is on a mission to save Jaxon as grief turned to rage fuels her forward. She is accompanied by our favorite crew of misfits as they sail the Endless Sea. Creatures lurk beneath the treacherous water and they soon discover it's not the only monster planning to consume them whole!
I found myself burning through these pages. I have loved watching these characters develop from young, hopeful teens to complex and courageous Protectors of the Stones. Quinn's flaming emotions felt ignited and raw as she looked towards the utter demise of her enemies. Jaxon's story put a blazing ache in my heart that still has me reeling!
There were so many explosive twists and turns that I didn't see coming! The things that stayed consistent were the things I cherished the most throughout the series: forever friendships, Kit the adorable little fox, Pima the mischievous dire bear, and a flame of hope that goodness would prevail in signs of total darkness. Plus, thank the Stones, Greg and his brothers were there to provide a little comic relief. They seriously had me cackling out loud!
The Stone Guild series is a perfect introduction into fantasy. High stakes, easy-to-follow world-building, and an amazing adventure. I can see many kids, teens, and adults connecting with these characters. Keep your eyes on this author, for she is sure to create many more gems💚💜❤️
What a final installment to a fun fantasy adventure!
I loved seeing our favorite characters again and while some of this story made me sad, I really enjoyed it. I do want to say, some parts were really thrilling and I was on the edge of my seat. While there were a few parts that were more filler-y and slow. While they were needed for the plot to make sense by the end, I felt like some things were drawn out and others were a bit faster than they could’ve been.
The character growth for Jaxon, Lukas, Mae, Quinn and Greg was so fun to see as this story progressed. They realized that they needed to lean on others and that they were really stronger together than they ever were alone. And while I would’ve loved a bit more of Mae (and even Annabel) in the ending, I was pleased with how everything came together.
But I do have to say….why do these poor characters get knocked down repeatedly and rarely ever get any happiness? It hurts to see them in so much pain and despair. Over and over again. They so rarely win. Or have a leg up. Or get anything resembling happiness or leverage in the end. How dare you @author.jrgeraci I want them all to be optimistic and happy forever and ever! Also that epilogue?! WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!
This was such a fun series to read and great for all ages. The stories take you on multiple adventures as a group of unlikely allies work towards protecting the princess and saving their world from an unsuspecting enemy. I loved the unique magical system that splits magic holders into different groups based on the stones they are able to utilize. There are fun animal sidekicks that join the found family as the main characters undertake their missions and grow before your eyes. The world building slowly increases throughout the trilogy, making it easy to follow along with and new information to continue looking forward to with each book. A great and fun fantasy read with lots of twists, battles, and fun magic. The ending had a lot of emotion, satisfaction, and hope for the future for these young characters (with maybe more to come?!)
This was the perfect ending to the trilogy! In PotS, the tone is a bit darker than the first 2 books in the series - which makes sense, as the characters get older and are faced with more hardships. There was a lot of tension, heartbreak, and humor. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, J.R. Geraci. Thank you for sharing your story with the world. I hope it isn't totally over yet ;)
I highly recommend this whole series, but especially this final installment which was perfect. It's one of those books you just can't stop reading until it ends, but also you don't want it to end! It's such a well-written, interesting story with great characters.
What an amazing, heartfelt and in some ways devastating ending to this trilogy! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in The Stone Guild Series, and I hope I get to revisit this world again through other stories soon!
This is the ending of this Young Adult Series, and I do not want it to be done. SO much so, I hope for a spin-off series. Same place, same universe, but perhaps in the future. Quinn and Jaxon come back together with Mae in an attempt to defeat the bloodsucker. Our friends must race across sea and land in time to stop him before he destroys everything. This story was action-packed and had everything you want in a conclusion. The kids and I have loved reading this series for the last three years, and I can’t wait for more to come from this author.
The third book of the Stone Guild Series can only be described with one word, and that word is bittersweet.
Jaxon finds himself captured by the bloodsucker and Quinn sets out with the siren, Mae, to rescue him. Quinn and Mae team up with some other creatures, along with soldiers from both the Windsor and Viridis kingdoms to stop Liam (the bloodsucker) from getting the last of the stones, and destroying those they love, before it’s too late.
This continuation of the story had me feeling so many different emotions, and without giving away any spoilers, there was one scene that hit me so hard that I had to literally stop reading and truly process what was happening, and spend time soaking in these characters emotions. That’s how much I’ve connected with this story and these characters. The growth we see from Quinn, Jaxon, Mae, Lukas, and Greg was magnificently done. I am desperately hoping that there will possibly be a spinoff series, cause I want and need more of this world, these characters, and the magic of the stones. I loved this series and while it ends on a somewhat satisfying note, there is also a sense of bittersweetness as our motley crew figures out what comes next.
