Just when I think I can't lose anything else, I discover why Kai is always in pain, why Caspian rages against me, and why Sin loves me and hurts me at the same time. I learn about their deal to save Camille, and what it means for them, and me.
I swore revenge on Zania, but how far can I go when I have no power? What do I need to do to make the Risler pack fall for me, so I can steal them away from the woman who threatened to end my life?
I rejected them, but the line between real and pretend has always been blurred. I'll need to dive so much further into our messed up bond if I'm going to save myself. And possibly them.
Welcome to the Knottinghill world. Each book is full of sexy omegaverse fun, with heats, knotting, nests, and all the lovely drama of a why choose romance.
This is Part Two of a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. It is essential to read Part One of Brandy Snap before beginning Part Two for the continuation of the story.
Brandy Snap: Part 2 is the second book in the trilogy of Knottinghill Omegaverse Romance. This book follows the tropes of the first in terms of misunderstanding, jealousy, and the guys having money while Melanie is broke. There is still some MM action in this as well as discussions of MFMM which will probably be in the third book. This is also an omegaverse series so there’s lots of discussions about what an Omega is and can be as well as the impacts to Alphas. There is also some very minor discussion around lack of childbearing so if that’s a trigger for you, you can skip the chapter. The story starts out right after part 1. Melanie paid off her mother’s bills and wants to try to figure out her relationship with Caspian, Kai and Sin. She wants more but is consistently reminded that this is a temporary deal. Kai and Melanie have a heart-to-heart after some unintended betrayal with Melanie and Sin. Kai becomes very possessive of Melanie and they share and bond over being “defective” Omegas. Sin joins in the thought of this becoming more permanent, while Caspian still holds out. The original dynamics causing riffs between Caspian, Kai, and Sin with Caspian’s childhood love changes up as well. The story ends on a shocking cliffhanger. I thought that my main issue with the first book of the miscommunication was resolved in this book. I liked that there was more open conversations and a lot of bonding. I thought Kai’s & Melanie’s “I’m your omega” scene was really cute and heart wrenching in a good way. I also thought that Melanie calling Caspian out on his crap was much needed. I think my least favorite thing about this is something more of a personal preference than really an issue with the book itself. I don’t like when main characters hate on other main characters for no real reason. I like angst and banter, but Caspian and Melanie are not that. Every chance he gets, Caspian crushes Melanie. It’s just something that makes me go whyyyyyy? Especially since he obviously cares for her and finds her attractive or the landlord would have been just fine. I rated this book a 3.5 stars out of 5. I thought overall it was better than the first one. I want to keep reading the series and interested in what happens after that crazy cliffhanger.
Took a few days after reading before writing this because I needed to separate how I felt about where I wanted the story to go versus the actual writing just trying to be fair here. This one didn’t pull me in the same way as Book 1, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good read. I'm definitely still hooked on the story. Let’s just start by addressing the elephant in the room… Oh. My. Ever. Living. Cliff. Hanger. I am mad. I am sad. I am shocked. I am literally all the emotions.
I wanted more groveling, but let’s be honest but the impossible happened. I actually empathized with Kai. Yep, didn’t see that one coming.
Still have a very healthy need to stick my foot up Caspian’s behind because… wtf, dude. And Sin’s sister? Not sure I’m feeling her whole meek, sick, poor-me aura. But hey, like I said with Book 1: if a character can drag that much emotion out of me, it's a sign the writing’s doing its job.
All in all, the spice was spicing, the emotion was real. Which is exactly why I needed those couple of days to process and sort through what I thought I wanted, versus how well the writing really was, which to be clear was still fantastic.
This book has me feeling all sorts of ways about all 3 of Mel’s/Brandy’s mates.
Kai and Sin finally seem to be on the same page about Mel and how they want their “bargain” to end but Cas is still holding out.
In Part 2, they all must attend 1 party together and this creates massive chaos both individually and collectively. Cas almost goes Rogue, Kai gets wasted 🍾, and Sin looses his calm nature with Mel.
Mel and Kai find common ground and get invited into each other’s nest 🥵 and end up kicking out the Alphas.
But the way this book ends and the Cliffy that Abby has left us on had me staring at my Kindle for MINUTES just trying to process what happened!! 😭🫣
OMG I'm really loving the knottinghill Omegaverse romance series. Once again I had multiple emotions in this book. in the first book I really wanted to throat punch Kai, but WTF in this one I sympathized and wanted to console him. It's an amazing series and I'm not going to give no spoilers it's a series that you have to read from the start all the way through I will say that it is well worth the read. You will feel multiple emotions up and down. I sometimes feel like I have my own little therapy sessions reading these books. Just know Abigail Hunter is an amazing author and I'm looking forward to part 3. These cliffhangers are leaving me like a kid at Christmas, seeing all the presents under the tree that just can't touch him yet so hopefully the third one comes soon.
Absolutely loved this part! Devoured it whole once I started. I appreciate all the coming to terms with feelings between each individual person. I still can’t stand Zania lol nothing new there 😂 It kept me captivated and that cliffhanger should be illegal! I’m desperate to know how things play out and I’m ready for the next part! 🥹👀😩
Things are heating up between Melanie, Kai, Sin, and Caspian, and not necessarily in a spicy hot way. Zania is still a big issue for Melanie and the guys. There’s still lots of emotional baggage and trauma to work through, but they’re making a bit of progress. Lots of possible triggers and a huge cliffy at the end! Can’t wait for part three!
Wow, that ending just left me stunned. The whole book left me stunned, Kai wasn’t my favorite in the first book, but he’s getting better. Melanie might not have a huge backbone with those boys, but at least she has a backbone in this book with Caspian’s mother.
First, check the TW at the beginning of the book. I think I liked this book even better than the first one. I feel like there was a lot of growth with all of the characters. You get more of who they are as they get more comfortable with each other. I have no words for how I feel after this book. When the author says “ends in a cliffhanger” she means it ends in a cliffhanger! I can honestly say I did not see that plot twist! The ending should be a TW. I’m really happy there’s a book 3 because I’m not ready for this to be over. Story 5/5 ⭐️ Spice 5/5 🌶️
That cliffhanger is brutal. I think I see what's happening with Camilla. I think I understand, but I was also flipping the page going. Wait, please explain. For me, Kai earned his redemption a bit in this. Could he have groveled more? 100 percent he could have, but Brandy isn't the strongest female and is heavily swayed by her designation, so I forgive her. But sometimes, I wish she used her backbone against him as much as she does against Caspian. I still want to punch Caspian, and now Camilla, too... maybe Sin a bit. Honestly, the lot of them need a good slap, but I am absolutely hooked. Both devastated this is now a trilogy and not as I am not ready for this story to end, but I also need all the answers.
Brandy Snap Part Two is the third in the Suck It Up Omegaverse series by Abby Hunter. This picks up right where book one left off. I was happy to see Kai change his tune in this book. Loved him and Mel together. This does leave us with another cliff hanger! Looking forward to see what happens in book three!
This book is a lot more intense than the first one you get to find out why all the male characters are the way they are and you get to watch them change slowly. Brandy also doesn't let anyone bully her she gives as much back as they give her.
Ok, they've all grown on me, especially Sin and Kai, Caspian has a lot more grovelling to do. I want them to be destroyed when they finally see how bad Kai has been treated. Camille rubbed me the wrong way since book 1, so I'm eager to see how that all works out. That ending was brutal, Sin???? What's going on!
Great, spicy why choose omegaverse novel with tropes like forced proximity, fake dating, omega x omega and alpha x alpha spice, and once again, lots of other omega and family drama. Second book in the Brandy Snap trilogy, part of the Suck It Up (Omegaverse) series.
I really enjoyed the first part of Brandy Snap and this second part was equally as amazing. The chemistry between the characters continued to be great and the spice was definitely spicing.
Melanie was again an amazing FMC and I loved learning more about her. One character who really surprised me in this one was Kai. I loved seeing this other side of him and this book also helped me to understand him more as a character, and also why he said and did certain things in the first book.
Sin and Cas took more of a backseat in this part compared to the previous one. They were, of course, important characters and I loved learning more about them too, but I really enjoyed how this part was mostly about the relationship development between Mel and Kai.
The ending took me by surprise and I need the next book like right now
“Hope might be the most dangerous thing I’d felt since I met them.” “I hate it when you lie to me. It makes me want to do nasty things to you.” “I was starting to forget why I hated her, why I wanted to rip her apart so she couldn’t get near us.” “Why the hell are you looking at me like that when I’ve tried to ruin your life!?” “You’ve said some pretty shit things over the years, but that was the fucking worst.” “That’s exactly what you like. You like being a little bitch and submitting to your alpha.”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
This is part two of this omegaverse story and we are still not quite done yet. This book picks up where book one left off. I was such a big fan of book one and I was so excited to continue this story. Book two didn’t disappoint. I was sucked in just as much as I was when reading book one. It continued the pattern of being a book that really caused me to feel things, good and bad, but we started to get some movement in the relationships. But things are still strained as well. I really felt that this story was something that pulled you into the point that I was able to fly through. It was an enjoyable read that will keep you from getting bored while reading. This book ends on quite the cliffhanger and it will have you craving book three to see what happens next.
We are definitely starting to see the main characters develop more than we saw in the first book. But this pack is far from perfect. I hope we will continue to see the pack develop in the third book. The relationship between Kai and Mel was great and I love when two omegas come together like these two did. Sin has his pluses and minuses, his good days and bad days. I can only see his character growing in a future book. And the there is Caspian. Oh Caspian. He might be my favorite because he is far from simple. You want to hit him sometimes, but I can feel that the future will make it all worthwhile.
This book continues where book one left off and leaves us with a heck of a cliff hanger. It definitely delivers in the spicy department. This book is great and a perfect continuation from book one. This is a great one to pick up if you want an omegaverse with some rough roads ahead.
Just one word—HOT. SO DAMN HOT! I'm completely obsessed with these books.
This is an omegaverse RH with some delightful MM elements, and it somehow manages to be both heartbreakingly emotional and incredibly steamy at the same time.
Honestly, they need a round table—with some space between the chairs—to work on communication and actually listening. 😂 It’s a fast-burn, so things heat up quickly and emotions develop fast, but that also means the insecurities and doubts creep in just as fast. With so many secrets that need to come out and too many people interfering in their lives, it’s no wonder they struggle to find common ground.
And then there's Camille... I really didn’t expect her. I still don’t know how to feel about her.
I’m so in love with this world. Most of the time, I just want to shake those clueless alphas—how can they be so dense and unaware of their own behavior?—and then immediately go hug the sweet, strong omegas. And don’t even get me started on her sister and his mother. They seriously need to be knocked off their pedestals. Just awful.
One of my favorite parts? The bond between the two omegas. I love when an omegaverse includes that, and Abby gives it to us in such a beautiful, touching way.
And that cliffhanger?? WOW. What a twist! I’m honestly not even sure I fully understand what happened yet... but I need the next book ASAP!
I was really happy to see Kai and Melanie work through all of the issues caused by themselves, the alphas and Zania. I really felt that if they just worked together, they would be the ultimate power couple. They feel like two sides to the same coin to me and I love them.
Every time Caspian opened his mouth in this part, I wanted to pop him in the mouth. With a bat. Covered in nails. He should let the adults talk and keep his peanut gallery commentary to himself. It became aggravating watching him fight against what Sin and Kai were willing to open themselves up to – opening a whole new world to them that could be a chance away really from Zania.
I enjoyed that Melanie was standing up for herself more in this part. I was happy to see her stand toe-to-toe with anyone who decided to go after her and make her feel less than. Although she made a lot of improvement, it still took a lot of pushing her around to get her to be more feisty and less closed in.
I’m horrified by that ending. It was such a cruel cliffhanger to leave on. Overall, I’m suspicious of Camille because out of all the characters, she’s the one that I can’t really get a good read on and I hate not knowing her motives.
Thoughts: This trilogy continues to amaze me with its dark and sexy tone. The banter between Melanie and the Men was so electric- she almost seemed to get off on their degradation. The jealousy that swirled between the different parties was so delicious. I loved how she compared what was happening with the boys to her Alphaprn books. The scene with Melanie and Kai in the rain was so crushing I was crying myself in empathy. OMG, Abby really took it up a notch when things got gory at the end. This was more sci-fi/fantasy than your usual contemporary non shifter Omegaverse, but little to no warning and bang things went crazy! I need the final instalment yesterday!!!
🛑Please read all the author warnings as some themes and events in this book could be triggering. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I absolutely devoured part two in one sitting and it kept me hooked all the way through! I couldn't put it down, it has left me excited for the next part and just love the different dynamics going on. The pacing felt on point for me, there was enough tension and moving plot to keep me invested between the heated scenes and can't recommend part two enough if you loved part one! Truly can't wait for the moment the mother gets what is coming for her for the actions she has taken.
Usually the toxicness of some relationships can be too much but I love the hate/love thing going on between Caspian and Mel so much. It's going to make the moment they both give in that much better! Sin has definitely fallen hard but Kai is making him work for it at this point, I love Kai to bits! Two omegas in a pack is one of my favourite tropes and Kai is the perfect example of this, he is full on devotion in this and I'm here for every minute of it. So excited for the next part to see Caspian finally let go of the past to embrace his future and for Sin to finally be allowed out of trouble!
This didn’t pull me in as much as part 1 but definitely still kept me intrigued enough to keep reading and to be looking forward to part 3. I still think Mel deserves a lot better and there wasn’t enough groveling for me which is what has me a bit disappointed but I do enjoy that Mel and Kai have their own thing and that Mel craves Kai maybe even more than the alphas. I liked Sin more in this part but Caspian can take a long walk off a short…yeah. I hope he grovels a ton in part 3 and finally gets over Sin’s sister. Also, I do not buy her whole “meek and weak” act she has going on…and that cliff hanger?? I am in *shock* 😳 I’m hoping it’s one of those cases where it’s not really what we think and that it’s something much less bad than it seems.
I read an ARC but am in the process of moving and completely forgot to write my review
Definitely worth reading and though Caspian’s mother and her mates make me want to throw my kindle across the room, it’s a sign of good writing to make me hate a character this much lol
I enjoyed this story it was another good continuation of this series. This one had a lot to it and I really liked how the story is going. I was wrecked and wanting so much more by the end of the book! That cliffhanger at the end had me sad, mad and confused. I’m excited for the next part.
I am upset with some characters though and wish they would grovel a little more. But there are some that I am loving and wanting to cheer them on right away lol. I love how the relationships are building and can’t wait to see them in part three.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next part. If you like omegaverse I’d recommend this series it’s very good and can twist for next.
OMG this series is killing me. What in the freaking heck is going on here. That ending was so freaking unexpected.
This book has you going through a gambit of emotions. I found that I empathise with all three men. They have so much going on in their lives. Caspian's mother is a piece of work.
Mel/Brandy and Kai are so adorable together when jealousy isn't tearing them apart. Kai is so afraid of what Mel means to his place in his family and I absolutely understand that. Mel just wants someone to care for and about her.
I have no clue what to expect from the last part of this book. I'm desperate to see what all is going on and what happens with this pack. I'm absolutely hooked.
Finally, I got my hands on Brandy Snap Part Two. To me this book is just as good as Part One, if not better. Just like part one this had me all up in my feels. It had me yelling at my book which for me is a good thing. Again, in this book my heart hurts for Melanie. She is torn between wanting her guys and having to leave them. Not to mention she has to watch her back from both her scent matches and one their mothers. That ending though! I’m still stunned. I loved everything about this book from the storyline, spice, and characters, even though Im still not sure if I like some of them lol. I cannot wait for part three to find out what happens! As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.
Whew 😅! This follow-up had me sweating! This was emotionally raw, viscerally brutal, and volatile. The way this story unfolds after Zania desecrates the sacredness of Mel’s nest. The chemistry between Mel, Kai, Sin, and Caspian; but they are all fighting battles internally, with each other and their families. So much is at stake and the ramifications of the fallout could be eviscerating.
While this is littered with tension, its main focus is on character development. There is so much complexity in how each of our mains are reacting to Mel’s addition to their dynamics (if only temporarily). But this second installment, gives us a more nuanced understanding on why our MMCs are the way they are. Some beautiful moments are able to take flight as they break down walls and begin to share their vulnerabilities. However, there are still many hurts to heal and obstacles to overcome.
I cannot recommend this book (or series) enough and all I can say is to expect the unexpected. You will need to read Book One before diving in here, but I hope you will grab it up when it releases on August 11th.
As always, check content warnings for difficult and possibly triggering topics/situations.
This story deserves way more than 5 stars, in my opinion. I loved this part so much more than the first. The character and story development were absolutely perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing about this story!
The characters are the best, and I'm obsessed with them😍 What threw me for a loop was that cliffhanger! Omg I can't wait to see how that ends up unfolding!
I ended up reading this in a day, I just couldn't put it down! Kai is my all-time favorite, and Caspian is a close second 😍🙌🙌
Tropes: 🖤omegaverse 🖤Why choose 🖤Plenty of drama 🖤Spicy 🖤Huge cliffhanger
I think I've yelled at this book so many times while reading it! I really don’t like Caspian and Sin, especially Caspian. His anger, his love for another Omega, his refusal to see Melanie as his true match, and his inability to give Kai what he needs as his mate drove me up the wall.
Both Sin and Caspian are truly horrid, selfish Alphas. I think Melanie and Kai should run for the hills!
This series, so far, is outstanding. It's gritty and emotional, filled with selfish narcissists, broken Omegas, and enough angst to warm my cold, dead heart.
And that ending! Seriously, when is book three coming out? I need it now!
Again, I flew through Part 2 of Brandy Snap! in Part 2, we get more of Kai's background and his thoughts and it was nice to see him and Melanie form their own relationship. It was so beautiful how they evolved and their love for eachother is so deep, even if they won't tell eachother!
I'm getting mixed vibes from Sin. I like him one moment and then I'm wary of him the next...
Caspian better get his head out of his ass in Part 3. Also, that cliffhanger?!?!?!? I was screaming!!!!
Thank you to Abby for an early copy of this book to read and review.
Brandy Snap Part 2 by Abby Hunter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Madam respectful what the actual 🤬! What! I’m over here flabbergasted with that cliffhanger! How, how do I wait for the next part!? Please tell me that’s the last part because excuse me!? #imlostforwords 😭😭😭
This is part 2 Dropping later this month. Pick up Part 1 now on KU. If you like a darker themed omegaverse this one is for you. 2 omegas, “you’ll never be ours”, 2 alpha assholes, 1 prickly and sassy male omega. Brandy Snap is filled with a lot of drama and twists. Don’t wait, grab it NOW!
This is only the second book in an omega verse I’ve read. The first one was Brandy Snap part one. I ADORE this pack, Kai is so very cheeky I can’t help but love him, Sin is the quiet but masterful leader and then we have Cas who oozes “touch her and die” vibes. It really is the perfect trio of men. Having said that, these men are FAR from perfect and Mel really does have a struggle on her hands. Let me tell you when you get to the end of this book you will be BEGGING for the 3rd instalment. Another fabulous read from Abigail Hunter
There was so much more uncovered in this book than in book one and yet so many more questions left unanswered. I did love how someone got their head out of their a$$ and saw what they had right in front of them. It was really beautiful seeing thier bond grow. Hopefully Caspian will seriously stop putting everyone else above his omegas that are actually his in book 3. At this point it is beyond frustrating I almost hate reading the story to see it happen. Other than him getting his due for being such an idiot I really hope Zania gets what she deserves she really is truly such an evil omega.
This series gives me rage induced blackouts but I love it. I left book one RAGING with all of the pack. I wanted Brandy to get revenge and have the men on the ground groveling to have her in the pack. I do not get that here but I still get a nice solid build up of the packs existing male omega and the new female omega. That was the one relationship dynamic I was worried would be irreparable but the author is slowly converting me. I still think the men need to BEG and GROVEL. I love that we get Brandy stepping more into her own here. I am excited for the conclusion.
