A broken man. A hunted woman. A deadly charter off the Florida Keys.

Haunted by a Navy tragedy that left his body broken and his nights soaked in bourbon and blood, Mark Drake just wants to be left alone in the Florida Keys. Tourists, lobster dives, and silence; that’s his world now. Until a rich couple steps aboard his boat … and the wife whispers, “He’s going to kill me.”

Jennifer’s powerful husband has a murder her at sea, blame the captain, and walk away with her fortune. But he didn’t count on Mark fighting back or surviving.

Now Mark and Jennifer are on the run, plunging through violent storms, tangled mangroves, and bullet-riddled boat chases with killers on their heels and the law closing in. Every mile is a battle. Every breath could be their last. From the depths of betrayal to the edge of survival, Deadly Catch is a white-knuckle thriller where escape is just the beginning, and revenge rides the rising tide.

Action packed non-stop throughout this story that reveals two characters who come face to face with some demons in their background. I liked how our FMC is written to have the instinct to take care of herself. I just didn’t really square that part of her personality with the subservient one married to Reg but I guess the plot hinged on her going along to get along. Mark had nightmares from his time in the Navy that consumed him and it’s that tragedy that we find him battling.

I’m not someone who necessarily enjoys that much violence in my stories so keep that in mind. Reminded me of a few other authors I’ve read with intense battle scenes. I think this would be a nice read for the guy in your life who loves a book that is non-stop
Pulse pounding action.
