My favorite from the collection has to be "Cut"! I also learned a good deal from "People Who Look Like You." I enjoy this sort of poetry that's unafraid of naming, that can be playful but also astute and direct. It gives me an urge to beautifully over-observe my life, then sit down for hours and write several ars poeticas.
What a gorgeous book of poems. I read them slowly, taking time to digest and read again, and each time there were layers and nuances that made the experience richer. I had read only a couple of her poems before, so this was a wonderful discovery for me. I'll read everything she writes from now on.
