What an awesome surprise this was! Perfect way to get my Lost Kings fix while waiting for the next full-length book.
Three Kings One Night is perfection in 3 little short stories!

First you have Murphy and Heidi - we got a glimpse of them in Corrupting Cinderella. Here we get a nice, sweet little story. Heidi's growing up and not crushing on her brother's best friend anymore. In fact it looks like she might have a boyfriend, something Murphy's not happy about at all! I just loved their story. It was sweet, with just the right hint of teenage angst and first love. I can't wait for their full-length book (I have heard the author say it will be either Book #5 or #6)

The second story is WRATH and Trinity. Seriously, I NEED Wrath's story like NOW. I don't want to give anything away, but their Christmas Eve story was something really sweet and special. Wrath...oh my god, I didn't think I could love him more! OH! And my favorite part of this story was that we see a glimpse of Rock while he's pining away for Hope. SO FUCKING AWESOME-I LOVED THAT! (The author noted that this story takes place during Part 1 and Part 2 of Slow Burn).

NOW, the third story. Don't bother wearing panties because they will melt right off. I understand why the author saved this one for last.

Wow.

Z and Lilly have insane chemistry. But we also get to learn more about each of them and it was very touching. We also meet Lilly's brother Alex who sounds HOT.

I don't know what else to say. I adored this collection. Even if you're not a fan of "Holiday Romance" type stories, I think you will enjoy this. It's not over-the-top holiday and it's really more about the bonds of friendship, family and loyalty. It was also nice to learn little things about the characters (like Z is really thoughtful, he gives Trinity a tree and Lilly something he knew she would like) It was those little extra touches that made these short stories extra special.

OH! and if you're like me, dying for the next books, the author put in not one but TWO excerpts from Book #3 and Book #4 (WRATH'S BOOK) OMG I would have bought this just for those excerpts!

Well done!

Merry Christmas to ME!!! I was gifted a copy of this book today and just devoured it in one fast and excited reading!!
I just love these characters from Slow Burn and Corrupting Cinderella and just because it's the holidays I am in the mood for a little bit of sexy and sass with my sweet Christmas classics.
Murphy and Heidi (his little BUG) are so stinking cute together and YES I am a big fan of younger girl/older guy relationships because that was all me growing up. Murphy has done nothing really wrong with his best friend's little sister (yet) and sometimes you just can't choose who you love.
I LOVE Wrath so much, and Trinity is that girl who you just want to protect because she is so damned sweet to everyone. I really want her to get her HEA and can't wait for Wrath's book for more to come!
Z and Lilly always had an interesting relationship because she was just playing on the darkside for fun at first and Z was all too willing to partake...but this Christmas tale hints at more behind the seemingly uncomplicated thing they have...and it's getting good!
The thing that got to me reading these stories was the common thread of lonely people who reach out and get comfort, not from their blood relatives but rather from those who are their "chosen" family instead.
We also get a sneak peek at future Lost Kings books at the end of this special holiday book and I am thrilled beyond belief to get to read these stories!!

***** 5 ***** "beautiful and poignant twinkling lights" star

Re-read 1st February 2021.

Original review.

This is a sweet little festive collection, I've just found this series and after finishing the first two 'Slow Burn' and 'Corrupting Cinderella' and about to start the third 'Strength from Loyalty' I spotted this and of course I couldn't resist.
- Murphy and Heidi.
Murphy is helping Heidi with the Christmas lights at her Grandma's house the problem is he's eight years older and really struggling with his attraction to her and constantly has to remind himself she's only sixteen. Murphy and Teller, Heidi's brother are best friends so he's been in her life for years and Heidi spent much of her youth nursing a huge crush on him but now she's older and wiser and has a bit of a crush on a senior at school Axel, how will Murphy feel about that.
Team Murphy or Team Axel? It's Murphy for me.
- Wrath and Trinity.
Wrath is an interesting character and I'm hoping him and Trinity finally work things out, in this it's Christmas Eve and Trinity is trying to bring a bit of Christmas to the club house and surprise, surprise Wrath is there to help.
It was lovely to get a glimpse of these two with no one else around.
-Z and Lilly.
From the first moment these two met there's been an intriguing attraction between them and while they both insist they want to keep it casual they both show jealousy towards each other.
What will happen when Z turns up unannounced on Christmas Eve?
I've enjoyed this book and the 3 stars is more a result of length rather than content, I'm totally hooded on this series and starting the third book as soon as I've finished this.

I loved this so much! The perfect way to get into the xmas spirit!
This made me so excited for Z and Wrath’s story! I’m still not sure of Murphy and Heidi, the whole underage thing makes me feel weird but I’m exited for the others!

This is a short book with three different lost knights mc. I loved each one and wash cheering for each one of them on. I am wanting more of Murphy and Heidi and love how Wrath takes care of Trinity and they both need to just start dating already. Z and Lilly well they both are lost souls and cling to each other and wow the sparks fly with them. I really enjoy this book

This should probably be marked as 1.5 in the Lost Kings MC series. It's Christmas, and three couples who will get their books later on spend some time together. Heidi is 16 and Murphy 24, but nothing too untoward happens. Murphy is realizing that waiting for Heidi is going to be challenging as he is about to have a rival closer to her age, and Murphy is focused on waiting until she is over 18. Wrath and Trinity show how close they are even though they aren't in a relationship. And Z and Lilly get it on holiday style.

Worth a read but very very quick. 3.5 for me, so since I round up, it's a goodreads 4 for me.

The couples: Murphy and Heidi/Wrath and Trinity/Z and Lilly

Romance trope: MC
Series: Lost Kings MC
Length: 117 pages

Plot:
Story #1 - Murphy and Heidi: So this is a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read ahead in the series. Obviously, in book 2 (Corrupting Cinderella), we meet Heidi's boyfriend Axel. In this book, though, Murphy doesn't know who Axel is - this is the beginning of Axel becoming something more to Heidi. Keep in mind though that Murphy and Heidi have known each other since childhood though, and this is the moment where Heidi realizes that her crush might not be one-sided but also that she has other options.
Murphy is in over his head now and has a long time to wait. Rock did it for Hope but Heidi's only 16 so it's a little different. Murphy can see that Axel is going to provide some competition in a race that shouldn't even exist.

Story #2 - Wrath and Trinity: It's Christmas at the clubhouse and Trinity is in decorating and baking mode. Wrath finds himself alone with her and for once, the two of them are getting along. Trinity's not feeling so great, though, and for once, someone needs to take care of Trinity instead of the other way around.
This was a sweet look at how Wrath and Trinity would be without all of the interference of the bad stuff from the past. It's a little odd, because they wouldn't be who they are without the past, but you just want so much for them to be able to leave it behind and not hurt so much. I enjoyed seeing Wrath work to take of Trinity and check in on Rock at the same time (even if he was so wrong about what was going on with Hope).

Story #3 - Z and Lilly: It's Christmas Eve and Z intends to spend the evening with Lilly. She's coming off of a not-so-fun family dinner, as is Z, and they both need the time together, even if it's apparent they are becoming a little more serious than they first intended.
Lilly's a tough case - I can see her noticing things about Z that endear him to her, things that would normally make a woman start thinking about more, but she is so determined to not be a relationship girl until she finds her older sugar daddy. It's transactional for her, but it isn't with Z, and she's so confused!
We also get to meet Lilly's brother Alex here, and he'll definitely show up again, and we find out that he hooked up with Sophie.

I will say that the timeline confused me a little. This one is listed as 2.5, meaning it comes after Corrupting Cinderella, but we meet Axel in that book, whereas he first just shows up in Three Kings here. Wrath mentions Hope to Rock, with the implication that they aren't together yet, but they are together in Corrupting Cinderella (by the end of book 1 actually). So I never think of Three Kings as a part of the timeline, but rather more like bonus stories. It makes more sense that way, for me anyways.

Previous book in the series: Corrupting Cinderella
Next book in the series: Strength from Loyalty

THREE OF THE KINGS

Stories of Wrath, Z and Murphy and how they spent Christmas Eve. Wrath's story with Trinity made me love him all the more. Z's story with Lilly was sexy but for some reason I felt sad for them and while I love Murphy, I just can't stand Heidi and I wish he would find someone else. Onto the continuation of Rock (and even tho I like her) whiny, wimpy and weak, Hope.

This was a great sneak peak of stories for some of the couples in the Lost Kings series. Heidi and the beginning of Axel but also Murphy, at this point Rock hasn’t gone for Hope yet, we get a little sweetness from Trinity and Wreck and some steamy hotness from Z and Lilly! Loved it!!

FINALLY I'm coming back 'round to read the novellas! Glad I did because I am a #DetailsWh*re & there were some cute ones in these shorties. :)

Murphy & Heidi... Loved seeing Murphy get jealous over Axel! After the d*ckhead comments he made to Heidi, he so deserved it. And seeing Heidi develop her first case of butterflies for Axel was super sweet.

Z & Lilly... Don't know why I went & did this to myself (reading about them even knowing they don't have a story yet) because I just want their happily ever after that much more now! They really are dynamite together & I can't wait to see more of them (individually & together) in the future.

Looking forward to more books in this series; especially ones that feature my favorite characters, Rock & Hope.

This gives us the story of Wrath and Trinity, Lilly and Z, Murphy and Heidi. The time takes place during the year Hope is mourning her husband. Im not jazzed with this only because I think Z is with Peach after in the next book. Wrath maybe is with others or he attempted to be with Peach until Z took over. I disliked Murphy crushing on Heidi but not waiting for her. He could have told her he liked her but for them to both wait until she was 18. Instead she has a sweet boyfriend that will end up being screwed over later. I think they all have their own books coming out so if I'm still reading the series I'll find out if they get their HEAS.

A beautiful Gem in Lake's MC World...

“Three Kings, One Night" is a novella featuring three shorts set in the Lost Kings MC (LOKI) world (hence the 2.5 series volume designation).  It wonderfully launches some of the stories of the secondary LOKI characters within the full length books and begins the slow, yet brilliant, expansion of Autumn Jones Lake’s MC universe. Here, she focuses on the turbulent relationships between, Murphy and Heidi, Wrath and Trinity, and Zero and Lilly, and showcases a brief snapshot of not only their individual lives in and outside the club, but how they intersect, affect, and are affected by LOKI. Lake brilliantly uses the Christmas holiday immediately following the tragic events that changed Hope’s life forever and put her on a direct course for her relationship with Rochlan.  And the writing here is yet another wonderful example of how Lake meticulously builds the LOKI world and draws you in like a spy lurking in the shadows of her characters’ lives.

Yes, in all reality you can skip this one and move directly on to “Strength from Loyalty”, but don’t.  I promise you this little gem is worth the hours or two it will take you to read it.  And, the information provided within offers valuable insight into the mindset of other characters, as well as, giving alternative perspectives on Rochlan, Hope, and LOKI in general.

Sweet, fun and like a jigsaw, these stories fit perfectly!

Loved each of these three tidbits of life from Murphy & Heidi, Wrath & Trinny, Z & Lilly.

Each story draws you into their own bubble and makes you love them all so much more. The little glimpses of these new characters who have all played small but important parts of The Lost Longs series so far is wonderful. Beautifully written, incredibly hot, deliciously sexy. Well done AJL! Great work.

This book really is three short stories about Murphy and Heidi, Wrath and Trinity, Zero (Z) and Lilly. They all happen on the same night, Christmas Eve. Now I'm really sure that this Novella belongs after Corrupting Cinderella. This really is a teaser to whet your whistle fir each couple's book. It is a quick, fun, interesting read. I look forward to the next book.
