The spirited Seelie has known for years that she’s destined to marry royal guard Nolan Graham, so there’s no need to panic as the time to propose draws closer. That is, until Nolan decides she’s not the one for him. Now she must either dive into Rosehill’s dating trenches or remain single forever. With such dire prospects, she’s beginning to prefer the latter.
Maddox Finch, an Unseelie warrior with a soft heart who only has eyes for Nia. Not that he’s ever told her as much. He has plenty of chances but always chooses self-preservation over truth, claiming to be in love with someone who doesn’t exist.
Determined to ignore the disastrous state of her own love life, Nia offers to help Maddox win this imaginary fae’s affection, and he leaps at the chance to be near the only woman who has ever made his blood sing.
Their task brings them closer as they learn to forgive the lies that once separated them like the canyon between the Seelie and Unseelie worlds.
Just when they’re finally ready to choose each other… A dark secret deep within the mysterious Divide threatens to tear them apart.
(All Ways is the second book in the Willowhaven Romance series of interconnected-standalone slow-burn romantasies.)
Jenny grew up in Oakland, Maryland and currently lives in County Tipperary, Ireland with her husband and two children. Her love of reading blossomed the summer after graduating high school, when she borrowed a paperback romance from her mother during the annual family beach vacation.
From that sunny day forward, she has been a lover of stories with Happily-Ever-Afters.
This is book 2 in the Willowhaven series of standalones. Can be read alone but recommend reading in order. This book is a cozy read perfect for breaks in between your serious more deadly books. I great doze of sweet with spice and still so much depth.
In this book we explore other parts of this world which was cool to see. Again no true magic but fantasy. Im talking green burly fae 🫣.
Nia is spoiled and doesn’t see whats right in front of her. This frustrated me at times but also i felt for her. Her mother isn’t the nicest and her betrothed is just horrendous. Her character growth is well done. Nolan can shove it. Maddox is the definition of a young puppy golden retriever. He is always happy and positive. At first it felt exhausting but once you learn his reasons for being this way your heart will break into a million pieces. You will not be able to not love him. He deserves the world 😩. Their relationship developes so nicely and its a sloooow burn. Once they come together its so beautiful. Jenny really know how to write heartfelt spicy scenes. Learning why this is called All Ways broke me.
The ending was expected for me of course but it still came together nicely and we get our HEA. It was sweet to see so much of Everett and Kerris.
I cannot wait for the next book. Jenny has her work cut out for her 😆.
Things I didnt love… Nia felt very entitled and like a complete bratt it. She does have character growth but was hard to read at times. Maddox felt very silly at times and I wish he was a tiny bit more serious. The beginning felt a bit slow and took a bit to get into.
Serious question! How do I become Mrs. Maddox Finch!
Absolutely loved this book it was hilarious I laughed out loud so many times. Willowhaven is one of my favorite fantasy worlds. They have PIE and big green lovable fae what more can you ask for!
OH MY BISCUITS! This cozy fantasy romance is hilarious and a 5 star winner! Once again, Jenny manages to deliver the perfect amount of romance, humor, and fantasy in the Willowhaven series.
Maddox has got to be the tenacious and determined MMC I have met in a while. His enthusiasm makes him absolutely adorable and easy to love. You will root for him to FINALLY GET THE GIRL! Now Nia will make him work for it, but honestly, he is up for the challenge. He needs to be because Nia is feisty, take charge, and she needs someone who can keep up with her.
These two dancing around each other, as Nia helps him woo the girl he likes (there is no girl), will put a smile on your face.
Honestly, this book is necessary to read anytime you are feeling sad because it is an instant happiness hit.
First of all, thank you so much to Jenny Hickman for allowing me to read this phenomenal ARC. Getting to step back into the Willowhaven world felt like coming home, and this story completely stole my heart.
All Ways is the kind of romantasy that wraps around you like a warm blanket while simultaneously making your heart ache in the best possible way. The cozy fantasy atmosphere, the emotional depth, the yearning, the tension — every single page had me swooning.
Maddox Finch absolutely owns my heart. The quiet devotion, the protectiveness, the way he loved Nia for so long while believing he could never truly have her? DEVASTATING in the most beautiful way. Jenny Hickman writes longing and tenderness so effortlessly that you can physically feel every emotion pouring off the page.
And honestly? I want to be a Maddie to someone’s Maddox because THAT level of love, loyalty, and tenderness was everything. The way he cared for her had me melting chapter after chapter.
ALSO… the name he came up with for his goat? OH MY GOD. Cutest thing ever. I was giggling, kicking my feet, and completely obsessed. Those small soft moments made this story feel even more magical and cozy.
Nia’s journey was just as incredible. Watching her heal, rediscover herself, and slowly realize what real love looks like was emotional, comforting, and empowering all at once.
This book gave me: ✨ cozy fae fantasy vibes ✨ emotional slow burn romance ✨ secret pining ✨ soft but fierce love ✨ magical worldbuilding ✨ all the swoony feelings imaginable
The chemistry between Nia and Maddox was EVERYTHING. Every glance, every moment of vulnerability, every near confession had me completely invested.
If you love romantasy that feels heartfelt, magical, cozy, and emotionally immersive, All Ways deserves a spot on your shelf immediately. Jenny Hickman continues to prove why her stories feel so special and unforgettable.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — completely enchanting from beginning to end.

This was such a fun read!! I loved the first one in the series and I loved this one as well. This is a fun, cozy, fantasy romcom with an overarching plot slowly developing in this far world. I was giggling and kicking my feet! I love me a golden retriever MMC. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series, especially to see the redemption of the character. 💚
Ok I just loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. Maddox Finch is just the sweetest! He could do no wrong. It was a cute cozy Romantasy. Nia helping Maddox understand what he should do to woo his imaginary mate is just the best. Maddox learning about the list and number eight on it was a fun one. I was even a fan of Biscuits and I don’t even usually like goats that much. Jenny is already one of my autobuy authors. I will read anything she writes. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Every time I read a Jenny book, I love it, and this was no exception. This book is the perfect cozy romantasy. This book is a warm cup of tea by a fire or a great hug. Maddox is the cutest MMC you’ve ever met, and his inner monologue had me cackling. Nia is feisty in the best way and she also kept me laughing. The stakes are low and the vibes are great- seriously if you love cozy romantasy, this book is for you. I cannot wait for the next book!
Gaah! That situation when you have time to read but there´s nothing on your TBR you are in the mood for! I´m also trying to put off reading King of Gluttony for as long as I can, obviously, hahaha. So what´s a girl to do? She searches frantically for a spontaneous read. And I stumbled over this book that just came out and that is a sequel to a book I liked but not loved. So I thought to give it a go, not expecting too much. But wow, what a ride!
I had to do a quick recap of book 1 first, as I could not really remember a lot about the story and characters, especially when it comes to Maddox, who is the MMC here. In book 1 we get the impression that Maddox is a fun guy, who is also a little cocky. He´s confident when it comes to women but we already know that he´s apparently not really the type of guy a woman wants for as a mate and that is something that he feels insecure about. I was like "ugh, I´m not sure his book can be any good" - I didn´t really love him in book 1, he was a bit annoying at times and more of a talker. I also could not really remember much about Nia, but I got back into the story and the world pretty quickly. Kerris and Everett, the MCs from book 1 are now Queen and King, and Nia—Kerri´s cousin—is the new FMC. Things in their world are a lot less tense as they were in book 1.
Both MCs are absolutely charming and lovable. Nia is feisty and not the typical virginal damsel in distress. Maddox is a total cinnamon roll and reading from his POV makes him so much more likeable than in book 1. He´s almost a different character. He feels a little naive at times and overly sweet but I was there for it. He is also lonely, as, like I said, no woman has ever offered to be his mate and I felt so bad for him. All this man wants is love and a companion who finally chooses him :( He has a pet goat named Biscuits.
Maddox is totally gone for Nia but believes he stands no chance with her. Nia is hiding from everyone that her boyfriend Nolan dumped her and makes it clear to Maddox that she doesn't return his feelings. To safe face, Maddox lies to her, claiming that he is interested in an Unseelie woman from his camp. Nia teaches him how to win this woman over.
They become friends, and over time, Nia realizes she is jealous of this mysterious woman and begins to develop feelings for Maddox. That, more or less, covers the first half of the book. We also learn that Maddox isn't just prone to bending the truth in book 1—but does so in this book as well. I was pleasantly surprised (even when it was already hinted at) when it turned out that Maddox has been lying about his experience with women and is in fact an inexperienced virgin. I loved that the roles were reversed for once.
The second half of the book takes place somewhere - I´m not saying where, as it would be a spoiler. But they´re having an involuntary adventure together, having to find their way back home and during this time, they sort shit out and finally get together.
The communication in this book is not alyways great. It´s obvious to us readers that both are into each other but for plot reasons those confessions and truths are delayed. It did not bother me as much as I thought it would because it´s highly entertaining and the tension is allowed to thoroughly cook, which is always a good thing. And the yearning, my goodness! This man yearns for his woman so much, I was swooning. Like, he has absolutely no eyes for anyone else. This is yearning and "only has eyes for his woman" done right. I wanted to kick my feet.
Yes, this book contains some typical moments to make us jealous which I usually hate, but I can promise you that Maddox is NOT interested in any of these women who are interested in him. There is no cheating or anything close to that.
If you want safety information and don´t mind some spoilers, go ahead:
In the second half of the book -
If you do not want to read the spoiler, just be reassured that they´re both loyal to each other, but a certain plot at the end is a little too drawn out for my taste and there´s a lot of insecurity, which might be annoying to some readers.
This is the kind of book I didn´t want to end. Some people say this series is "cozy" but I personally don´t think so. For the "cozy" it has way too many stakes and plot and stressed me out. It´s simply and purely Romantasy, but in a rather cozy setting I guess. It´s also super funny and made me laugh several times. The little jokes with the pet goat eating shoes or the fake-fainting mother, it was hilarious. The chemistry between Nia and Maddox is insane. Big fat bonus points for Maddox being a cinnamon roll virgin and not the typical dark broody shadow daddy, while still being strong and manly though. The perfect mix.
I liked this a lot more than book 1 which was only a 3,75 for me.
Now I can´t wait for book 3 which will be about Gryffin and Ivee.
This book was PHENOMENAL!! I devoured it in one sitting! I could not stop!! Swoony Romantasy at its finest!! Both Nia and Maddox have the absolute best inner dialogue! I laughed out loud so many times! The pet goat and the nettles scene (iykyk)... I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard! And the romance.......INCREDIBLE! The yearning, the slow burn, the eventual payout......just perfection!! This is an absolute MUST READ!!!!
"He is light and sunshine, and I am a wounded animal hiding under a bush, claws out, waiting to slash at anyone who dares to venture too close."
*A huge thank you to Jenny Hickman for an eARC of All Ways!! All thoughts and comments are my own.*
All Ways is an incredible cozy fantasy romance. It's book two in Jenny Hickman's Willowhaven series. All Ways is a standalone story, though I recommend starting with book one, For Ever. Not only is it also an excellent story, but you'll get to see the MCs meet cute as well!
Nia is doing her best to hold her relationship together, despite her partner acting terribly toward her and her family. Her mother is hurtful and overbearing, and she can't handle the idea of others knowing how her life is falling apart. Her defensiveness and deflection is so relatable. Nia's progression of feelings toward Maddox was so fun to see, although heart-wrenching at times.
Maddox, my heart!! Have I ever met a MMC as sweet and endearing as Maddox Finch? I think not! He is the loveliest character who will slip into your heart without you even knowing. His POV chapters were my favorite. I love his train of thought, the attention disorder representation (though not named as such), and how utterly good he is in all ways.
I am IN LOVE with this story! It's sweet, silly, heartwarming, and exactly what you need if you need a pick me up. Hickman has created a cozy romantasy that still feels as though it has high stakes. The characters are wonderful, the slow burn brilliant, the pacing excellent, and the story perfect. All Ways is another winner for Hickman! She's an auto-buy author for me for a reason, and All Ways is a perfect example of why! I highly recommend this beauty of a story. It releases March 12th!
"For most of my life, my mind has tended to wander, but when she is near, the world and its many distractions fall silent and still."
"I have craved your smile and laughter since I first saw you in the square."
Jenny Hickman has a way of making you laugh and making you tear up in her stories. If you are looking for a cozy read that has you invested in the characters, pick this one up right away! The banter and character development are so well done, and the side characters provide the best comic relief after a sentimental moment. I adore her writing, and All Ways was another fantastic read from Willowhaven!
This story follows Nia Quill and Maddox Finch, as they navigate life with their quirks. Between lying, living up to parent expectations, holding grudges, feeling second best… there are so many relatable flaws or personal history that become embraced by the other in this story. On top of the character growth, Jenny also does a great job of providing a dramatic twist that comes out of nowhere and keeps you turning pages to see it resolved. There is a hilarious pet goat, tension/ banter, a plot twist, update on characters from For Ever, and so much more. I had the best time reading All Ways, and look forward to rereading this beautiful story again in the future!
Favorite non-spoiler quotes:
“I am a male drowning in lies, and she is my air. I do not wish to die of suffocation.”
“Where is the wine-yay?”
“All right, then. Let’s be more.”
“I do not need pity pie.” “What in the world is pity pie?” “It is when you only offer such things because you feel sorry for me.” That’s ridiculous. “It’s not pity pie.” “It is, and I want none of it.”
“It’s all we want, isn’t it? To be chosen. Not by just anyone but by the right person at the right time.”
“Bloody hell. I’m in love with Maddox Finch.”
“A home is not a home without those you care about nearby.”
Thank you so much to Jenny Hickman for the eARC. All thoughts and feelings are my own. 💜
Oh. My. Gosh. This is one of my favorite books of the year. My cheeks hurt from grinning throughout these pages: our MMC literally had me giggling up a storm, especially when we were within his chapters.
AW is book two in Jenny’s cozy interconnected standalone Romantasy series, Willowhaven. We follow a dual POV from our MCs, Nia and Maddox. Maddox has been in love with Nia since he first saw her back on Beltane, but her heart belongs to someone else. Yet, in a moment of panic, when Maddox lies about a love interest in hopes Nia would help him, Maddox finds his lies tangling him in a web that might ruin his very dreams.
Nia cannot wait to get married, but when her boyfriend of 4 years begins behaving negatively, Nia finds herself wondering if it is really love. After lashing out at Maddox, she agrees to help him with his current love interest, but soon discovers what love truly looks like and that it very well just might be him…
I loved this book so much. Maddox is a green flagged DOLL with hilarious inner monologue, the biggest heart, an unwavering devotion, and a desperate desire to be chosen and loved- actually both he and Nia do. Seeing this beautiful story unfold hurt my heart and mended it back together. I laughed and swooned and felt so happy throughout this read. And I CANNOT wait for our next couple!!
Tropes you may find in AW are forced proximity, fake love interest, one cave, green flagged MMC, goat dad, found family, she teaches him, whimsy, SO MUCH YEARNING, slow burn to medium spice, and a HEA.
Thank you, Jenny, for this gifted arc. I have loved All Ways and For Ever and I can’t wait to read more from you!
Absurdly diverting escapism and another one sitting read!
All Ways picks up shortly after For Ever, and follows Nia and Maddox, both established members of the Willowhaven world. Nia Quill is single-minded and focused on her pending engagement, and is blindsided early on by the breakup of her (honestly slimy) long term boyfriend. She is further oblivious to the unabashedly soft-for-her Unseelie fae Maddox Finch. Maddox is also single-minded, but about his golden retriever devotion to Nia. And maybe also the many fine qualities of his pet goat. The first half of the story is almost a reverse Cyrano with Maddox inventing a love interest to spend time with prickly Nia. The second half is an adventure allowing Nia and Maddox to work together, and for Nia particularly to envision that partnership continuing.
This was a slow-burn, moderately spicy romance and more humorous than its predecessor. The author includes plenty of Easter eggs for readers familiar with For Ever, but the story is a true standalone. Without spoilers, there was a resolution to a situation related to a group of people included towards the end of the novel that I really did not enjoy, which is why the ending was not amazing for me. However, I love Jenny Hickman’s works and can always rely on her stories for an entertaining read. Looking forward to book three, and I am waiting to see how this next FMC is going to turn it around!
Thank you to the Jenny Hickman for the opportunity to read an ARC of this novel! All opinions are my own.
All Ways is a cozy, slow-burn romantasy with plenty of banter and swoony moments.
When his best friend is unexpectedly names king of the Seelie fae, Unseelie fae Maddox Finch finds himself spending more time in the Seelie court. Though he would prefer that most of that time be spent with Nia Quill, a Seelie fae and cousin to the new queen. But Maddox is afraid to reveal his true feelings to Nia, and instead makes up a story about needing help courting an Unseelie fae (who doesn't exist). Nia's long time love has recently left her, and she is reeling from the loss. Nia doesn't want to admit that she and Nolan are no longer together, but spending time with Maddox and helping him with his own love life is more enjoyable than she thought (even if she is a little jealous of this mystery female). The two enjoy each other's company, but they must find away to be honest with each other, and with themselves.
I really enjoyed this one! It was great to be back in Willowhaven with this new couple. Maddox is a total marshmallow and I adore him. Nia is a fun character, and her internal monologue just made me laugh. While this is a relatively cozy romance - the stakes are low compared to Jenny's other books - there is an overarching plot in addition the slow burn romance that kept things exciting. Also, I love Biscuits the goat so much! Absolutely enjoyable and fun read!
Thank you so much to Jenny Hickman for the advanced copy! All opinions are my own!
Any day can be pleasant if you let it. ~ Nia Quill is touching me of her own free will, and I am going to expire on the spot. ~ Oh, the quotes I could’ve included here, but I couldn’t resist the touching one 😂 Remember when I mentioned how For Ever felt like a warm hug? Well, All Ways feels like the sun on your face and a slight breeze in your hair. The same, but different. Because Maddox and Everett and Nia and Kerris are very different, but their stories are both so warm and fuzzy, laced with hilarity. Biscuits was a lovely addition to this one, because who doesn’t love a man who worships the ground his pet walks on? Nia and her denial I that she just kept leaning into was chipped away each time Maddox said something silly and endearing, and the list was such a great little twist on this! Maddox is so adorably…oblivious, and his joy and heart are just so big and when he was down on himself, I just wanted to wrap him up in a hug and cry with him. The Divide? I have been curious about the Divide since the first book, and seeing it firsthand, and having it play such a crucial role in Nia and Maddox realizing they love each other was fantastic! And Ivee. I am so very curious about Ivee and her future now. More than I thought possible. Jenny is truly a genius, and this story was simply amazing!
If, during these trying times, you need something sweet and cosy, but still spicy, romantic and full of banter Jenny has got you covered!!
All Ways is the story of Nia Quill, a determined Seelie Fae who has known for a long time that she wants to marry the love of her life, Nolan. I'm the kingdom of Willowhaven, Fae must wait until they turn twenty five to marry, so she has been counting down the days until she can propose to her beau.
Except things don't always go to plan... Enter Maddox. The jolliest green giant you've ever met, with his pet goat Biscuits in tow.
The Unseelie have recently started to integrate into Seelie society, thanks to the new king who is part Seelie and part Unseelie. Unfortunately not everyone is happy to befriend and welcome their green counterparts from across the divide.
Despite their fearsome and vicious reputation, Maddox is the softest, sweetest golden retriever I've ever read, and every word he says has me swooning and awwing at his adorable Maddox-isms. Jenny does an incredible job of balancing the cosy, fantasy setting with the sweetest romance and a plot that will keep you hooked right to the end. It's everything we need right now, I promise you!
I opened my kindle to browse my highlights for some favourite quotes and got sucked straight back into the story and ended up binging half the book for a third time
Thank you to the moon and back to the author for sharing an ARC of this book with me !!!
“Being in your presence makes my heart happy … When my heart is happy, this happens … I do not know how to make it go away”
Imagine Penelope and Colin but reverse and imagine him being hopelessly in love with her !!! Cozy, sweet, romantic and swoon worthy !!! I loved it so much !!! Just as much as I loved For Ever !!! The story of Nia and Maddox love is the best ever. I think the author who has a tendency to break my heart, decided to give me some reprieve from the sadness and have my heart burst with happiness and giddiness !!! I love it deeply. And Maddox … I love that guy !!! He is the sweetness in person!! He knows exactly how to make a woman swoon and the gentleness which he treats her with … I want that. Desperately! And when the spice hits … it’s soooo rewarding !!!! I can’t explain how happy I was when I finished reading this book. It’s a feeling I wish I could bottle up and save for forever !! And if that epilogue is any indication … I would very much like to know all the other ways this author can make me happy !!!
“I will keep you safe” “Maddox Finch might’ve lied to me before, but in this, I’m certain he’s telling the truth”
“The only flood that swept me away this day is yours”
Thank you for my gifted copy. All thoughts are my own
So happy to be back in Willowhaven and I loved getting to have Nia’s and Maddox’s story. When we first met them as the lovable, supportive best friends to our MCs in the first book in the Willowhaven series, For Ever, I knew I needed more of them. They both often stole the scene with their quips and lovable personalities. Nia is a feisty fmc who has always known what she wanted or so she thought. When her cousins romance causes her to re examine everything she’s ever been told to believe she finds herself seeing things differently and realizing that some times you out grow those around you. I loved that we were able to see her character growth throughout the last story and then see that put to work in her story. Maddox the yearning, protective, goofy best friend that you are. It’s perfection. In my cozy Romantasy I want a Mmc who is a complete simp for his female and Maddox is that male! He’s so endearing and funny in the most pure way. Of course he has his flaws, but the way he’s just begging to be wanted and belong somewhere hits you right in the heart. Once again Jenny Hickman writes another romantasy that feels like a warm hug. I loved this addition to the series and uncovering more about the Seelie and Unseelie fae that live in Willowhaven. If you’re looking for a true cozy romantasy that will have you feeling like you’re running through the flower fields on the rolling hills of a fantasy realm while singing love songs then this is for you.
Two words to describe this book… cozy perfection. Seriously this book is the perfect cozy read. From beginning to end you will have a big goofy smile on your face. This series is just so good & light. It’s a breath of fresh air from all of the roller coaster of emotions type of books that we also love. It’s just so dang good.
Nia & Maddox just steal your heart away. They are more alike than what they think & in the end find true love with each other. The journey to get there is so sweet & a little dangerous 👀. Nia trying to help Maddox win the affection of his secret Unseelie lady & starts to see what an absolute catch he is. And he’s the biggest catch of them all.
Omg I fell in love with Maddox from his very first chapter. He is the softest, sweetest center of the center cinnamon roll that there ever was. He mad me laugh but also was making me cry so much. I don’t like when others are mean to good people. It bothers me. But don’t worry there are more smiles than tears. He has the sweetest moments.
Please, please, please add this to your TBR! You need more cozy fantasy books in your life. ♾️ ⭐️’s for these.
Book lovers, if you are looking for a cozy romantasy, I have the perfect reco for you! All Ways is book 2 in the Willowhaven series and releases 5/12!
I loved For Ever and I knew I’d love All Ways after I leaned it was about Nia and Maddox. I loved Nia’s fierceness and take no BS attitude but pair it with our golden retriever Maddox that was always smiling around her had me swooning. He’s the cutest and his inner thoughts had me rolling on the floor laughing. I really liked the plot twist at the end as we learned more about who else lives in their world. Curious if we’ll see more about that in the next book!
Here’s what else you can expect: - Seelie Fae x Unseelie Fae - He falls first - Forced proximity - Only one cave
Thanks for the gifted ARC Jenny! Can’t wait to read about Ivee’s story next!
“Do you like traveling?” she asks. I would like to travel from where I stand to where she stands, until our bodies are pressed as tightly as the desire coiling around my throat. To let my lips travel from her mouth to her throat. Lower. To let my hands travel along every hill and valley along her beautiful form. Unfortunately, I do not think this is the sort of travel she means.
JENNY! This book was everything! I am so in love with Maddox and his Nia Quill. Maddox is the sunshiney, goat-dad Unseelie fae of my dreams, and I will personally fight him for the affection of Nia, the spunky, feisty, tell-it-like-it-is Seelie babe. If you’re like me, you’ll be cheering for him to get the girl starting right away in chapter two. Their dynamic is so fun and enchanting, and I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t stand up due to all the feet kicking I was doing. Maddox is such a green flag, and if you need one more detail to convince you to read… she teaches him.
I hope Jenny writes in Willowhaven until the day I die because these low-stakes, cozy romantasies are the air I breathe.
Book 2 in the Willowhaven Romance series. Nia Quill has always known on her 25th birthday she will propose to her longtime boyfriend Nolan, that until recently, seemed perfect. Maddox Finch an Unseelie Fae and best friend of the King has thought of no one else since he first laid eyes on Nia Quill. So why not ask for her help in courting a mate.
I devoured this book in a day, I could not put it down once I started. Everything about Willowhaven is like a beautiful dream, the way Jenny describes everything paints such perfect pictures. Maddox Finch is a new all time favourite MMC, he finds beauty and wonder in everything and he is so caring. This was such a beautiful and cozy story I am so happy that there is another book planned in this series because 2 is not enough.
**Thank you to the Author for the ARC; all opinions are my own.**
4.5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶
I absolutely loved Nia in the first book, so I was thrilled to learn she was getting her own story! Nia Quill knows what she wants, and she isn't afraid of anything. But everything has changed since the last few weeks since book 1 ended, and her life is being upended. Enter Maddox Finch, an Unseelie who is a little scatterbrained and maybe a bit of a liar, but he smiles at her like she's the sun.
These two are so cute together, oh my gosh 😭😭😭 I loved how they slowly became friends, how their feelings developed more fully. This was just a really good romance!
Anytime I read a book by Jenny Hickman, I wonder what it's like to be as effortlessly funny and witty as she is. This whole book is absolute gold! I was so consumed with Maddox that I often forgot he wasn't real. The way Jenny writes often makes you forget that the worlds she created aren't real. Her characters will absolutely pull at your heartstrings and their words will make you giggle and kick your feet. Maddox and Nia are imperfectly perfect and I loved how their story unfolded. I also loved how they had the same insecurities, but in different ways. The mirroring was so well done! This is one of the easiest 5-stars I've given all year!
If you need a book to WARM your heart, support your COTTAGE CORE needs, and give you some CHUCKLES, this is the book!
Nia Quill is determined to deny her attraction for Maddox, but the towns ladies don’t feel the same. ….“Except for those women over there, staring at him like he’s a warm flaky pastry smothered in butter & jam” And that’s exactly what Maddox is. Sweet, warm, and a bit of a goof ball. Along with his trusty goat, Biscuits, they’re the perfect pair!
Nia & Maddox then find themselves on an unexpected adventure where they have to choose safety or each other.
Another great story with heart warning character from Jenny Hickman & I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3!
Thank you so much, @authorjennyhickman, for another ARC in this amazing wee world of Willowhaven.
I've been so excited for this read, and it did not disappoint at all!
Being back a few weeks after the end of For Ever, a lot has changed. I loved Nia in book one. She was just the chaotically organised cousin who knew what she wanted, and life was planned.
Well.... plans change, and heartbreak sucks, but Nia now has a quest on her hands.... to help the new Unseelie in town to impress his lady friend..... little does she know she is the one he wants to impress.
Maddox is like a ball of energy, so many questions, trying to find his place over the divide... but one thing he is drawn to and obsessed with.... Nia Quill and his goat, biscuits. But I think we all love biscuits!
I loved these two so much! The moments in the divide, the lessons 😂 the longing stares.... the yearning..... the god damn yearning! It was brilliant!
I love this series so much, the artwork is incredible, the story is beautiful, and the author is just top tier!
I'm so excited for the next book.... a wee redemption maybe? How exciting!
I’m a big fan of Jenny Hickman’s books, so I was thrilled to receive an ARC of All Ways—and I’m happy to report it delivers. If you like cosy fantasy romance, this one is an easy recommendation. All Ways works as a stand-alone, so you can jump in here. That said, you’ll get more out of it if you’ve read For Ever first, since you’ll already know the world and characters. It’s told through multiple POVs, switching between Nia Quill and Maddox Finch. The story is cute and funny with some genuinely sweet character moments—perfect for getting lost in over a weekend.
Overall, this was a lovely, comforting read—and I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment in the Willowhaven Romance series.
I LOVE MADDOX FINCH! Green flags and green skin! Cozy fantasy!
Maddox is so down bad for Nia. He is like a little golden retriever puppy. Maddox is the most innocent of all Jenny's characters- how he loves and just wants to be loved is the sweetest thing.
Maddox and Nia's arcs parallel and compliment the other's journey and just the need to be wanted and chosen. They just go about it in different ways, her through pushing everyone away before she can be left and he just collecting all the broken things for him to make whole.
Oh Maddox, you were the best part of this story. What a softie. If you love a big, orc that just so happen to have golden retriever energy and loves animals to the point of keeping a pet goat, then you'll love him too!
