Hi! I’m Luna Starr! Trending L . A . DJ with beats to drop, walls around my heart, and zero time for alien soulmates.
I didn’t ask to leave Earth—and I sure as hell didn’t ask to wake up alone on a high-tech, chromatic cruiser that’s colder and more sterile than my ex’s playlist.
Now I’m stranded in a galaxy I’ve never heard of. No signal . No plan. No chill . FML . My companionship?
A hitchhiking rescue cat giving main-character energyAn AI in desperate need of a personality upgradeAnd three dangerous—and sinfullyirresistible—alien Xynder – golden-hearted boy next door, sweet as matcha and twice as addictive. Kai – icy criminal kingpin with a menthol voice and secrets sharp enough to cut. Ka’vandrian – a blaster-tempered alpha hole who's a prick to everyone. . . except me. An SOS signal forces our paths to collide amid intergalactic tension, hidden agendas, and a dangerous dance between lust and love. Everyone’s boarding the Dal-Takki with secrets and baggage. Personally? My trunk’s packed with trust issues, sarcasm, pop culture references, and wit as lethal as my roundhouse.
There’s no room in my setlist for romance. But out here, with the stars watching and destiny whispering, I might finally learn how to let someone into more than just my bed for a night.
Need an intergalactic sci-fi abduction romance with a side of forbidden heat and more than one soulmate? Strap in, babe—it’s gonna get bumpy.

Luna’s story is a serial space opera, with new adventures launching every Space Week in October. Don't miss out on quenching your thirst for aliens, galactic drama, and lunar escapades every fall . Expect enemies to lovers, found family, fated mates, friends to lovers, age gap romance, touch-her-and-die violence, juicy lore, forced proximity, and heat levels hot enough to warp the hull .
This book ends on a cliffhanger—because space and love are both chaotic. But damn if the destination doesn’t make every intergalactic detour of the journey worth it .
Hey, I’m Harlow! Married to a lovable nerd, cat mom, and completely unapologetic about my year-round office Christmas tree. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me hopping on cruise ships, sipping bubble tea, or sniffing every candle in the store (much to my husband’s patient exasperation). Advocate of Taco Tuesday being daily, and firm believer that the world would be a happier place if everyone just picked up a book.
I currently have 3 series in production, all within the Why Choose and poly romance subgenres.
After growing up buried in fairy tales, I’ve rediscovered my love for them—only now they’re darker, steamier, and come with way more princes. Expect bold, spirited heroines who wield sarcasm and wit as skillfully as they chase their desires. And their men? Think a box of chocolates—something for everyone, and yes, you can devour them all. No judgement.
Whether we’re in space, another realm, or somewhere in between, I believe plot matters just as much as the characters who live it. My books are thick, but every page is packed with adventure. I love a good plot twist, and am not afraid of a cliffhanger because the payoff is worth it.
I'm not going to lie, I was not feeling this book throughout the whole first half. Like with most fantasy series, there was a lot of information to sift through. The first half of the book did allow readers to get to know Luna Parks. Reader get to know her real well. Maybe a little too well. The second half of the book, readers get to the real meat of the story. Luna is abducted and on a spaceship by herself. Her only thought is getting back to Earth. Unfortunately, the spaceship's AI interface, Raven, has no knowledge of Earth let alone how to get back there. Luna has things to do. She is scheduled to go on tour as Stargirl, her DJ persona.
Things start coming together when the spaceship picks up a three people that are stranded. Luna can't let them know that she is the only person on the ship. Yes, up until now, Luna was the only person on the ship. Now we have Velis'il, Gal'drin and Xynder. Xynder is sick and Luna helps nurse him back to health when she finds out he is the power source that she needs to keep her spaceship moving. Luna needs Xynder and is willing to help him find his sister. While looking for Xynder's sister, Luna runs into Kai. Luna is up to her old games. She is doing what she does best no matter the planet or the galaxy. This book is a lot. I did not appreciate it until the end though. This book does end of a huge cliffhanger and now I have to know what is going to happen next. Readers just need to prepare for a long ride. It will be enjoyable in the end and you will be happy that you got all that information in the beginning.
If I didn’t know this is the debut of a new author, I would already be checking out her backlist to find out which other books I could devour! Honestly, there is nothing in this book which suggests this is a new author if you don’t already know it. So if you love discovering new authors, I highly suggest giving this book a chance!
So about Luna Starr’s guide… Since this book is huge, I was expecting a slow start, but honestly our leading lady goes all in immediately. She’s one of those people you can imagine is being told ‘she’s too much’ by others. But even though it took me a few chapters to get used to her, I fell head over heels in love with her throughout this book. She’s funny (if you love a bit of attitude and sass), she has a big heart (but also plenty of attachment issues), she’s a survivor through and through and she has clear morals while still realizing she has to fight for herself since nobody has done it for her in a very long time.
This story is set in space, and I know some tend to avoid the genre, but there is so much more to this. It’s about survival, learning to trust others (and be burned along the way), fighting for what’s right and lots of twists and turns along the way. Especially the final chapter(s) come with a punch leaving you hanging off a cliff. It’s harder to say things about the men: with this book being mainly single POV and some of them leaving the scène after an insta-lust moment I’m not even sure who will play which role in the future. But I’m definitely excited to find out!
I received this book as an ARC, recommended to me by a friend. Truth be told I was initially wary. In all honesty, I literally would have skipped over it because I don’t like alien or sci-fi books! I don’t even like fantasy!! SO WHY WAS THIS SO GOOD?! This book is 100% an anomaly, and I truly believe others who don’t like alien romance will be freaking out like I am! I ready to preorder the next book!! It needs to come out NOW!! I am freaking flipping out over the cliffy! I need more book!!! I need it NOW!
It’s like Outlander… in space! My husband finally found a series we would enjoy reading together! He received this as a beta reader and enjoyed it so much he asked the author if he could share it with me.
I was apprehensive.
Sci-fi is usually more his speed. I prefer romance. Luna’s story is a wild. It’s filled with adventure and plot. There was never a dull moment! There’s plenty of spice and the characters have backstories I’m interested in finding out more about in book 2. Honestly, if some of characters weren’t purple, I would have forgotten I was reading sci-fi! My husband caught me laughing several times and was quite pleased with himself. He was right. I actually enjoyed it!
Wow! What a wild, wild ride. I will admit that sci-fi isn't a genre I normally read. I went into this book blind, and I am absolutely speechless by how much I absolutely loved this book. Luna is such a character and had me cracking up so much. She has been through so much in her life. She has walls built up around her, but sometimes an abrupt abduction to space and galaxies far away result in letting some of those walls down. I loved Raven, and the AI's banter with Luna is amazing. I can't forget Puss, or the sinfully hot aliens, oh my! This book is full of wickedly funny banter, adventure, secrets, chaos, and spicy moments with aliens. Im so upset by the cliffhanger, but it makes it that much more exciting for book 2. I challenge you to pick up this book, and embark on an intergalactic adventure that will have you laughing, swooning, and clutching the edge of your seat!
OMG this was so much more than what I was expecting from a brand new author! Luna is such an intriguing character even before ending up in space. Then, we get to see her learn and adapt while baffling the AI and different aliens with her abundant metaphors and movie and TV references.
The aliens we get to know are well developed and complex. There are a few spicy scenes, and it’ll be interesting to see who makes an appearance again in the next book in the series to continue the different relationships.
The world building is really well done; thought out, detailed, and I can’t wait to see how it grows!
I saw this new author social. I liked the tropes so I reached out to beta. Didn't kn0w what to expect but OMFG and I glad I did!!! This was SO much fun to read. I love Puss! Luna is totally giving Lane Kim vibes but EPIC!! It is 100% the perfect Kpop Demon Hunter show hangover recovery that I so desperately needed and it has one hell of an ending! I still can't get over it!! It was SO good that I am experiencing MAJOR book hangover because that freaking cliff hanger...I just CAN'T!! Please write another Luna Starr book RIGHT NOW!!
I adored this book! The worldbuilding and character development are flawless—I don’t know how the author kept it all straight. It gave me the same rush I felt when I first read Fourth Wing. With a fierce heroine, a quirky cast of side characters, and plenty of pop culture nods, it perfectly captures Luna’s sense of being out of her depth—and out of this world.
I received this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Luna Starr’s Guide to being Abducted was one that I was slightly hesitant about at first. I had never read anything that was so heavily focused on sci-fi before but I was blown away at how great this was! I immediately fell in love with the FMC Luna she was so sassy right off the bat! This book was full of fun twists and turns and plenty of spicy moments. I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to see what else Harlow Blackthorne has in store!
From page one, this book had me hooked and gripping my Kindle like it was the last oxygen tank on the Dal-Takki. Luna is witty and I love her energy, I wish I could grab a drink with her. Plus the men! Xynder is the golden retriever, Kai is icy but charming, and Ka’vandrian, the grumpy alien daddy I didn’t know I needed. Amazing chemistry, super slow burn but also wonderful world building and storytelling. Looking forward to book two!

This isn't a genre that I normally read (only time I read anything that falls under Space, it's nonfic). I kept getting lost in the beginning, and the jump from on-the-run to waking up on a spaceship had me backtracking to see if I missed something. Still, the banter and the dynamic between the characters pulled me in and kept me reading. That, and I'm a sucker for a cat.
If you like sci-fi this is for you. I like Luna she is funny with sass and attitude. She has been through so much in her life. She has walls built up around her. This book is full of wickedly funny banter, adventure, secrets, and chaos. I like the banter between Raven, Al’s, and Luna. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings.
From the very first page, I was intrigued and had to know where this wild ride would go! Luna is an absolute star—bold, funny, and somehow keeping it together while navigating an unexpected (and interstellar!) kidnapping. I adored that her cat, Puss, came along for the ride… though those space side effects were certainly growing. 🙀
The upright AI with “brat mode” stole a few laughs, but the alien men? 👁️👁️ Oh. My. Stars. Harlow takes us out of this world with these mysterious, secretive, and swoon-worthy characters. Let’s just say you’ll be fanning yourself in multiple scenes. 👀🔥
But don’t think it’s all spice—there’s heart, humor, and an addictive plot as Luna tries to find her way back to Earth (and maybe herself) while we explore rich world-building, languages, and planets that feel alive.
Even if sci-fi isn’t usually your thing, this one will change your mind. Space week just got a whole lot hotter. ❤️ 🚀
