Wrenched: Part 1 of a 3-part series

Beau likes things engines, grease, and silence. The garage is his world, and he doesn’t let anyone in. Not anymore.

Jesse is a stranger in town—clean-cut, quiet, and clearly running from something. He’s never worked a day with his hands, but desperation puts him in Beau’s path.

They’re nothing alike. Beau is older, rough, and built from scars. Jesse is younger, lost, and hiding truths he can’t say out loud. But long hours in the shop turn into something more. A touch that lingers. A look that burns. A connection neither man expected.

Theirs is a love story that doesn’t come polished. It’s raw. Messy. Hard-won.

And once they give in, there’s no turning back.

WRENCHED is the first book in Dirty Hands, a gritty, high-heat MM romance trilogy about blue-collar men, broken pasts, and the kind of love that leaves a mark.

About the author

Tyler Young

28 books
Tyler Young writes emotionally intense queer romance about men under pressure—athletes, blue-collar workers, and stubborn, guarded leads who don’t fall easily but love hard once they do. His stories blend grit and tenderness, high-stakes settings, and deeply earned HEAs, with recurring themes of loyalty, identity, and choosing connection over silence. When he’s not writing, he’s probably thinking about the next collision—on the ice, on the mat, or in the garage—that will force his characters to finally tell the truth.

Very odd writing style. Seriously wondering if this is AI? There are a lot of strange plot holes and it seems as if the author is repeating himself over and over but there is no consistency. There’s a convo where Jesse asks Beau if he’s ever left town or if he left and came back, and Beau says yes. Then a few chapters later again Jesse asks Beau “You ever think about leaving this place?” and Beau says once he thought about, but didn’t. Like, we JUST had this conversation a few chapters back and he said he left and came back. Now he’s saying he never left? There’s also a few different convos about a cot, and every time the freaking cot comes up they act like it’s brand new information. Super super weird writing. Either needs an edit to get rid of the repetitive conversations or maybe it’s just AI.
