Stranded in a collapsing Florida, Wyatt and Willow flee the wreckage of Miami in a desperate push toward escape by land or by air. Back in Wisconsin, Sierra and the kids fortify the house against growing threats, but as their neighbors grow bolder, survival may mean choosing between quiet resistance and open defiance in Wave of Ruin Book 2.
From the 4.5-million-copy bestselling author Mike Kraus comes another gripping series, written with bestseller Marcus Richardson!
Terrorists launch the most devastating attack in American history, crippling the nation's ports and train stations in a coordinated strike. Cruise ships vanish in flame, states go dark and on board the last ship still afloat, Wyatt and Willow Carter are about to witness the final blow.
Trapped aboard the Emperor of the Seas as it approaches Miami, the Carters are separated when terrorists strike from within.
Meanwhile, back home in Wisconsin, their children Jack and Hadley, along with Wyatt's sister Sierra, face a different kind of war.
With the ship under siege and a nuclear weapon on board, Wyatt joins forces with a desperate security team in a last-ditch effort to reclaim control and prevent his wife and himself from certain death.
As the power fails, the cold sets in and neighbors turn hostile, the safety of Jack, Hadley and Sierra's home becomes a battleground.
Across dual fronts on land and sea, one family fights to survive in a world unraveling by the hour.

This continues a good series and has been a good contribution to the story. I'm finding the parts in the neighborhood with Sierra, Jack, Hadley and the Kendricks a bit more interesting. I do hope to see Mr HOA Davenport get what is coming to him. Wyatt and Willow do need to find a faster way home as by the time they walk the distance, they will be grandparents or great-grandparents. On to book 3
Castaways is another thrilling book in the Wave of Ruin series. In each chapter, the dangers are escalating for Wyatt and Willow and Sierra, Jack and Hadley. Very exciting with plenty of heart stopping moments. Brilliant story, can't wait for the next one.
I did enjoy this part of the story. A really good continuation of the plot, in a world ruined & slowly crumbling, the main characters have struggle after of struggle just to survive until the next day! Lots of strife caused by the situation, some angst, but overall a good read!
Once again another book that won’t let you down. Full of suspense and intrigue, how and where will the survivors find safety from the elements. Impossible to think this could really happen. Don’t miss out on reading this series written by two outstanding authors.
I have never seen a woman on the run change clothes so often. One minute she has a sweat shirt on then a sun dress then slacks and a shirt. There are a lot of mistakes like that - it distracts from the story
this is second book in series as Willow and Wyatt fight to get home Serria and the kids fight against attacks within the neighborhhood , luckly a few friend stick with them waiting for book 3
I liked the continuation of this series. The two storylines work well together, and are not confusing to the overall story. Looking forward to the next book.
