My uncle traded me–and my virginity–as political collateral to a Bratva boss.
As a member of my senator uncle’s campaign team, I’m obligated to attend glitzy political fundraising events. At the last party, a tall, broad-shouldered man with tattoos peaking out from the cuffs and neckline of his tailored shirt watches me from the shadows. His piercing green gaze heats parts of my body no man has ever touched.
Rurik Kedrov is at least two decades older than me, and yet he haunts my hottest dreams and my darkest fantasies. But when I bump into him everywhere in real life–at my favorite cafe, outside my gym, even on a date with another man–I feel hunted and terrified.
And then he tells me I belong to him because my uncle traded me in return for a favor. Rurik now owns me.
When he showers me with gifts, and his wicked touch teaches my body delicious new pleasures, I almost believe he cares. But no matter how much he gilds my cage, it is still a prison, and I’ll do anything to escape.
But what if the price of freedom is to walk away from the man who’s stolen my heart?
Hunted and Bred by the Bratva is a scorching, age-gap mafia romance starring an over-possessive alpha hero and a virgin heroine with streak of defiance. Reader discretion advised.
First this girl folded too easily to Rik and her family. She kept going back to them like she didn’t have the option to run earlier. Rik was also boarding on CNC after their first time and I hated how he let his cousin disrespect her instead of nipping it in the bud early. He mentioned that her comments about freedom outside the restaurant struck him, but he didn’t bend for her at all. Really had to force myself to finish this one between all the aforementioned issues and the fact that lack of character development made it very difficult to find a single redeeming quality in any of the characters…truly despised them all.
Perl's raised to serve power, not hold it. In her uncle’s political world, she's expected to smile, obey, and disappear. Then she meets Rik Kedrov, a Bratva enforcer with too much money and even more control, and suddenly, someone finally sees her for who she is.
Rik doesn’t play games. He makes moves. When he decides Perl is his, there’s no room for discussion. She's swept into a life built on secrets, guarded doors, and a man who doesn't believe in letting go.
But Perl’s not the girl they thought she was. What starts as fear slowly sharpens into something else. Their chemistry is volatile behind closed doors and dangerously calculated in public. She stops surviving and starts strategizing.
Rik’s cold, obsessive, and used to control. Perl’s been silenced for too long. Together, they unravel everything they’ve been taught, turning something toxic into something terrifyingly real. What they build isn’t simple, but it’s theirs.
A dark, steamy, character-driven bratva romance about power, survival, transformation, and finding control in a world built to take it away. It's about who you become when you stop being someone's pawn and start becoming the player.
HUNTED & BRED BY THE BRATVA is part of the multi-authored Bred by the BRATVA series. It's a short and steamy, instalust to love, age-gap, OTT, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, curvy virgin gets her Bratva boss darkish romance. There is some dub con and dominant control if those are triggers for you. Perl is the sassy, curvy niece of a Senator, who treats her like the help. Rurik "Rik" is the head of the Russian Bratva who is about 20 years older. When he attends a political fundraiser, he sees Perl and is immediately taken with her. Unbeknownst to her, her uncle has given her to Rik. She is upset feeling that she went from one cage to another. The sex and chemistry was explosive and the ending was happy after some drama. I loved this couple even though Rik upset me at first in his treatment of Perl. But he truly loved her and they were able to come to an understanding.

Her unclrs needs finacial support from donors for his new campaign and invites Rik to a funded dinner. Rik notices Perl and barguns for her with yhe uncle, unkniwn to Perl.
Perl is attracted yo him from she sees him and she lets him know. She doesn't understand the permanency of the word "mines." Perl has started to push back with her aunt and uncle. However, her hands are a bit tied when it comes to really being independent of them.
She learns of the agreement between her uncle and Rik and does what she thinks benefits her.
Hunted and Bred by the Bratva was a quick and spicy novella and my first read by Maria Larson.
I loved that even though it was a novella, she really gave a great storyline to Rik and Perl. It didn't feel rush and gave a good intro into Perl's history and how they've met. The tension between them was a 4/5 and I enjoyed the pace of the entire book, not completely rushing to the spicy scenes, but really showing different sides to both Rik and Perl. My only comment is that I wished it was longer. While Maria tied it up well for a novella, the storyline was so good and could have easily kept me hooked as a regular full-length novel. Regardless, for my first read by her, I enjoyed it and would read more by her in the future.
Perl is under her Aunt and Uncles thumb and they guilt trip her and keep her as their little slave helping with their campaigning and her Uncle's political career. They are extremely selfish and out for themselves. Rik sees Perl in her element and sees everything that is going on under all the pretences cause he pays attention. He wants her and uses her relatives greed to get her. This is so good how Perl learns that she is free with Rik and gets to work with him and is looked at like she contributes and is smart. I like how this all ends and the spice is good as well.
Perl has worked on her uncle's campaign always knowing that stepping out of line is not an option, her mother will pay the price. She meets Rurik Kedrov at a fundraiser, she choses to hook up with him not realizing what it really means.
Now she cannot go anywhere without seeing him or one of his men. He even interrupts her date to tell her she now belongs to him, his donation to her uncle's campaign insures it. She wants to fight him but she craves at the same time.

Mafia romance. Perl is a young woman working for her senator uncle's campaign team. While she thought she was attending a simple gala, she finds herself coming to a mafia boss. Who is none other than Rik, the man who had eyes only for her all evening. Rik is a mafia boss hiding a large technology company. When he came to this gala, he had a plan, but now that he has seen the magnificent Perl, his plans have changed. And he knows he will do anything for her. Will Perl and Rik be able to get along and have a beautiful story, or will Perl flee the future her uncle has planned for her…
This is a fast read that is full of spice! Perl is at the beck and call of her aunt and uncle, a Senator. When Rurik spots her at a fundraiser gala, he senses that she needs to be rescued. Perl is just learning to use her backbone, but her aunt and uncle like to point out just how much she owes them. Even though Perl wants to fight Rurik, she knows that she can’t resist him. Just how far will Rurik go in his quest to claim Perl?
This is such a great quick spicy read. If you’re wanted a hot possessive mafia boss mmc this is the book for you. Perl went from an innocent girl who always shrunk herself to fit what her uncle and aunt wanted, to a powerful woman all because of Rik. And Rik became a secret softy because of her. Rik helped Perl find her voice and strength, he didn’t dim her fire he embraced and encouraged it to burn brighter.
A fast paced, age gap, read. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to reading more from them. Pearl is a the mercy of her Aunt and Uncle, they pay for her mother's rehab treatments, her condo and her allowance. She feels like she is just going through the emotions. That all changes when she meets Rik Kedrov at a political event for her Uncle. He is drawn to her and will stop at nothing to have her.
Be very careful what you want and wish for. Perl is fed up of working off her mother's debt to her Uncle and his wife. She's feeling used and unappreciated. But across a crowded ballroom her sadness is seen by Rik and he is determined to end her suffering. But at what cost to Perl and is she prepared to pay? Good quick read.

Imagine being in debt to your uncle and the next thing you know your being sold to a very wealthy man. This book was spicy and very short, which is perfect if you’re in a reading slump. The only thing i wish there was more of was after she becomes involved in the business, i wish it showed that. Great book and i definitely recommend if you are wanting something short and SPICY!! Tropes: ~Forced Proximity ~Marriage of convenience ~He falls first ~Touch her and die MMC
I understand this is a short book but there was still a six month skip where you don’t see any of the character or relationship building and I physically groaned at the ridiculousness of that There was a quick throwaway line of her now having a lot of power to a fast forward six months later with one interaction with her aunt and uncle, so it was like the author didn’t know how to write a character development so she just skipped it and called it a short story
She is the backbone to her uncle's political campaign , He is the pakhan of the local bratva.. their meeting was a strategy of his to get her uncle on board what he wasnt counting on was meeting and becoming enthralled with her.. He makes questionable choices to get her in his bed he does what he needs to do !
I enjoyed read this book I couldn’t put it down turning the pages. I thought the story was interesting that I want a stalker lol but really this was a great story . I can’t wait to read from this author. I recommend this series.

This book was not quite what I expected going in. The setup suggests something darker and more dramatic than what actually happens in the beginning.
One thing that felt missing was the moment when her uncle sells her. That scene is never really shown, and I would have loved to see it play out. It would have been powerful to watch the FMC confront her uncle and aunt and finally say what she really thought before being forced into the situation with the Bratva boss.
Instead, the story moves more quietly into that arrangement. The Bratva boss almost courts her at first before eventually cornering her into the relationship.
Her uncle and aunt are truly awful people. They manipulate her by threatening that her mother’s medical care will not be paid for if she does not obey them. Because of that pressure, the FMC spends a lot of the story feeling trapped and powerless.
It is still an entertaining mafia romance, but I do wish some of the early emotional confrontations had been shown more directly because they could have added a lot of impact to the story.
Fast paced spicy novella. Rik knew the moment he seen Perl she was the one. Rik is morally grey and will do anything to get Perl. Perl and Rik gave high heat and chemistry which is new to Perl. I love morally grey Bratva men. Enjoyable read.
Wow!! What a book, I fell in love instantly and have reread it twice already!! What great characters filled with their own strong personalities that match smoothly with the plot.

This was an enjoyable Bratva read for me but i didn’t like the way Rick, the Pakhan treated Perl. I like a strong woman and Perl just seemed weak never really standing up for herself. OK read for me

DNF at 62% 🤢 nope. I couldn’t even force myself to finished it. He treats her horribly and the disrespect is real. Girl let your mama go and run from everybody.
