Amish Christmas Baby definitely isn't my typical read, but I picked it up when it was free, looking for holiday reads. I don't read Christian fiction and don't know much about the Amish, but I was in the mood for a Christmas-themed story to get me in the holiday spirit.

It was a quick and heartwarming read. I loved Ellie to pieces. She's the one who finds the baby on her doorstep, and I think she has a heart of gold. A remarkable woman with a kind heart who thinks of her family first and what she can do to take care of them.

I was put off that a mother would just dump her baby off in the snow. What if no one had heard the baby crying? I felt bad for the mother, but her baby could have gotten very sick, or even worse, died!

There was a lot of repetition with Ellie wanting the baby and wondering whether it'd be better for her to raise the baby or the mother to take care of the baby, since she knows who the mother is. The repetition caused me to knock off a star.

Amish Christmas Baby is just the beginning of a little series. I'm not really interested in continuing on with the series, but other readers will likely enjoy it. Not quite how I hoped this first one would turn out, but a heartstrings tugging kind of short story nevertheless with well developed characters.

Amish Christmas Baby: Book One (Amish Secrets Book 1)
By: Samantha Jillian Bayarr
One tiny baby’s birth, two families, two mothers, one lost & confused, alone & tormented…The other, daughterless and the mother of 6 rambunctious boys. Ellie always prayed for a daughter, to teach her the Amish ways, to come along side her, to be her best friend and helper, but GOD had other plans. Ellie knew GOD answers prayer and gives us the “desires of our heart”, but this one burning desire remained unanswered……or was it?
Ellie was working on healing her broken heart until that blessed Christmas morn. As Ellie witnesses to a young woman, she must muster the courage and strength to do the most difficult thing she has ever done in her entire life.
How can one tiny infant heal so many broken hearts? Learning to trust in the Lord, to wait patiently, is sometimes the hardest thing we can do, but wait and trust we must….GOD’s timing is always the best – just pick up this fantastic read by Samantha Jillian Bayarr – you won’t be able to put it down. It tugged at my heart strings, and I can see this happening in real life. Great reading – I recommend it for girls of any age.

Amish Christmas Baby
By Samantha Jillian Bayarr

Another wonderful story by Samantha. You are going to love this Christmas story. The cover is just awesome!! Great characters. what would you do if you found a baby on your doorstep? That's exactly what happened to Ellie Fisher. A baby she always wanted. What should she do about this baby when she believes she knows who the mother is? What will her husband think when he comes in and sees this Baby? Will he let her keep it? Such a wonderful story a must read.

This was a fast moving Amish fiction with a compelling topic. I read it on my kindle app on my phone, very quickly. So quickly that I was sorry when it ended. Who doesn't like a story about an abandoned baby found and rescued in the middle of a snow storm? This short novelette was catchy with its topic, and the mystery behind who was the baby's mother. In fact, this lead to some angst and wonder as to what would happen. This was listed as Book 1. I recommend this author, and this book. Short, sweet read. If it were a full length read, I would have rated it higher.

Sweet short story

Such a sweet story about trusting in God's will. Even though we often think we know what would be best for us, and why we feel we would have our wish, God knows what is best. We must always trust in God's will and not our own.
In this book Anna has made a choice one that was heart wrenching but she felt was the only way. Only to find out that God always knows what is best for us.
This short story is well worth the read, especially if you enjoy Amish stories.

This is the first book in this series. I absolutely love it.

Ellie has been praying for a baby girl for many years and has found that she can no longer have children.
When she hears a baby crying she thinks it is her imagination. Not only did she her the baby, but her youngest son, Zach, heard crying as well.

Will there be a Christmas miracle for Ellie? Will her prayers be answered? This is a story of hope and faith.

This is a quick and wonderful read. I am ready to read the next one!!!

Amish Christmas Baby

This is a sweet story. It seemed a little rushed at the end; there wasn't as much story line for me, between chapter 15 and 17. This is supposed be a short story so that is probably the reason. It is a good read, so I would recommend it to anyone who likes clean, Christian books.

This was a heart warming story that will tug at your heart. The story starts with finding a baby in a basket in the snow on the porch on Christmas Day. The characters grew strong and loving and needed to find out who this baby belong to and they work together to do this. You will need to bring the kleenex box out for this one but it's worth it.

God always has a plan.

It is always a blessing when a baby is born! Sometimes it takes a little work to receive such a blessing but the end result is a love so true that makes each day a day worth living. This book show the love in many ways.

Peaceful place to be

After coming back from Lancaster and seeing the most peaceful place to be I started reading books about the Amish and after being there it makes remembering what you saw when we're there.

This is a sweet, short novel

I read this as part of Kindle Unlimited. While I found it enjoyable, I don't think I would pay more than $.99 for it because it is so short.

Christmas baby

This was a wonderful read. Much love was shown in the story. I wish it was longer so there could be more about Jacob and his brothers.

Amish Christmas Baby is the first wonderful book written by Samantha Bayarr in her amish secrets triology. The characters are well thought out and very likeable. This story is fast moving and kept me reading.

The character of Ellie just makes you want to meet her. She is warm, caring, and loves to help others. Through Ellie's experiences as a midwife she was able to solve a mystery surrounding the appearance of a new born baby on her doorstep. There is also Anna who is a typical young person with doubts, confussion, and inexperience with what she needed to deal with. This story is filed with love, understanding, and faith.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached by anyone to post a favorable review. I have rated this book with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

Congratulations to Samantha Bayarr for releasing this fantastic story for her readers to enjoy.

Loved this book.

I loved the story line. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer. Would like a sequel telling how the marriage turned out and what happened to baby Grace.

very good Amish short story

This story helps everyone realize how precious life is. M
any years ago, families would give children away if the mother and dad weren't married. This story helps people see that the child is a blessing, no matter the circumstance of it's coming!

My favorite character was Ellie in this book. Because of her age, she could not have what she wanted most in the world. She received a gift on Christmas Day that changed her family lives forever. This is another great book of Samantha Jillian Bayaar.
