This book had such a good premise: a woman who gets into a car accident and wakes up as a noblewoman engaged to a mysterious duke, but the execution just wasn’t working I swear my body started rejecting it halfway through lol. The sentences were so simple and choppy that there was no emotion at all, which really kills the vibe for a romantasy where atmosphere and worldbuilding are supposed to draw you in.

เนื้อเรื่อง : ใครชอบประวัติศาสตร์ฝั่งอังกฤษน่าจะอินกับเล่มนี้ บรรยายได้ดีเลยล่ะ mood&tone เหมือนเราวาร์ปไปยุคก่อนพร้อมนางเอกเลย ในเรื่องมีปมปริศนาไปทางแฟนตาซีระทึกขวัญ (?) แต่รู้สึกมันเบาบางไป กว่าจะมาก็แทบท้ายเรื่อง ฮือ ส่วนตัวไม่ค่อยเข้าใจความรู้สึกนางเอกเท่าไหร่ ไม่คิดถึงบ้านปัจจุบันเลยเรอะ 5555 แล้วนี่ไปน้อยใจว่าดยุคไม่อยากแต่งงานกับตัวเองทั้งที่เพิ่งวาร์ปไปกี่วันเอง like what...?
ภาษา : เราไปต่อไม่ไหวกับภาษาเลยตัดสินใจ dnf T_T ส่วนตัวรู้สึกว่าภาษาสวยจนทำให้จับใจความยาก (อย่าเชื่อผม ความชอบส่วนบุคคลมากๆ ไปลองอ่านเองฮะ 🫵🏻)
แล้วที่ติดใจคือนางเอกเป็นคนยุคปัจจุบัน การบรรยายในเล่มเป็นลักษณะเหมือนอ่านไดอารี่ของตลค. ซึ่งภาษาที่นอ.ใช้เหมือนเกิดในยุคก่อนเลย ไม่ใช้ภาษาคนปจบ. เลยเอ๊ะๆ เอง
(ส่วนที่ไม่ชอบเลยคือพระ-นาง อธิบายความสวยหล่อของตัวเองกันทั้งเรื่อง -ร่างบาง ขาเล็ก ผิวขาว มือแข็งแกร่ง ร่างสูง ทั้งเรื่อง ทราบแล้ววว)
