Join master storyteller Kieran Fanning on a visit to every county in Ireland, told through 32 magical stories. From mysterious enchantments like The Stolen Bride from Galway to strange sightings like The Rathcoffey Pooka of Kildare; from tales of the Ulster Cycle like The Curse of Macha to fantastical folklore like The Fairy Hare of Slievemaan from County Wicklow, there’s a story and site to discover wherever you are in Ireland!
This beautifully presented gift book features a map, facts and details from locations mentioned, as well as gorgeous full-page colour art by Julia Iredale to illustrate each story.

Delightful collection of Irish folktales from all over the country. I only wish it went into just a little more depth about the beginning and end of each 'Cyle', and what caused the changes. I know it's for kids, but I think they'd find it at as interesting as just about anyone!
Loved the illustrations and how the tales were categorised by county. Interesting way to draw people in whom are exploring folklore as a beginner in Ireland and might be a cool resource for English teachers or primary school teachers for 6th class!
