From #1 bestseller and USA Today bestseller Morgan Rice, whose books have over 10,000 five-star ratings, comes the sixth book in a spectacular new fantasy series, DEATHBORN, ideal for fans of Rebecca Yarros, Callie Hart, and Carissa Broadbent. The series begins with VEILED (BOOK 1 OF THE DEATHBORN SERIES).

As hybrid magics surge worldwide, Elara Gray and Orion face a global summit accusing their unique powers of sparking chaos.

But when delegates fall into mysterious comas, their souls trapped between realms, Elara’s Deathborn abilities become the only hope to trace the threat.

Joined by Iris, whose empathic powers evolve, and a reluctant Darian harboring ancient secrets, Elara ventures into a perilous realm to confront a malevolent force. Dark revelations about the magical world’s past unravel long-held truths, threatening to shatter everything they know.

Seductive romance meets supernatural intrigue in a high-stakes world where mortality's boundaries fade and forbidden power awaits those willing to pay its terrible price. As enemies become reluctant lovers amidst ancient magic and deadly political games, morally complex characters must navigate their darkest desires and dangerous alliances—challenging readers to question how much they would sacrifice for power that transcends the veil between life and death.

I was given an ARC of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Elara has become popular and been chosen to speak on behalf the hybrids, however...

I liked the debates and arguments and felt the frustration of trying to reach closed minds. This fantasy tale highlighted the difficulties of diffusing power from those who have it all; those that think that they are superior to everyone. It certainly mirrored our world and the atrocities committed to keep that power.

Well-written with developed characters and a great sense of place. Elara is a likeable and strong character - I love her determination to do the right thing.

Engaging throughout.

This was another fantastic book in a series exploring themes of intolerance and diversity through character debates. The strong characters and engaging storyline make it truly captivating.
