And includes an introduction by series co-writerKatana Collin.
After breaking into the industry at a young age, Sean Gordon Murphy made a name for himself in the world of indie comics before joining up with DC. In his tenure, he has worked on such titles as Batman/Scarecrow: Year One, Teen Titans, Hellblazer, Joe The Barbarian, and the critically acclaimed miniseries American Vampire: Survival Of The Fittest and The Wake with Scott Snyder. Murphy also wrote and illustrated the original graphic novel Offroad and the popular miniseries Punk Rock Jesus.
The Harley Quinn story art has so many issues its surprising editing didn’t notice. It’s like the artist just drew whatever they wanted rather than whats actually happening. Items like cloaks appear out of nowhere in a fight scene and items of focus are relegated to the tiny corner of a panel rather than getting the relevant close up. But what bugged me most was when they just outright drew the wrong thing. An ID that looked like montoya was shown when its supposed to be a new ID for Harley and a police badge was shown when the doctor was supposed to be showing a victim photo.
The art in generation joker worked better but they really seemed to struggle when drawing anything machine or tech related.
Both stories were just okay, all dangers just kind of resolve themselves without much challenge and especially the second story relied a bit too much on things setup in other books.
The add in background characters like Duke, Diana and John all felt pointless and they could have just as easily just been agents x,y and z. They had no personality or character traits whatsoever.
I wouldn’t recommend you buy it but if you have it, it’s not a terrible read.
