Firstly the cover is 🔥.
I absolutely adored Kerrigans writing style.
This book is intense at times and found it dark and twisted and talk about twists and turns.
Holy cowballs to that ending. I love a ending where I just didn't see it coming at all.
Multiple povs and so easy to follow along.
I really can't wait for book 2 and 3 to come out so I can read it allll again.

WTF is going on and who is this and where are we? 😆
Sooo, I don’t even even know where to start 😆 I am confused but also not, intrigued but also fuming, frustrated but also kind of excited?
I can’t really point out what I‘m feeling right now, but this book definitely made me feel something. I kinda wish death on half of the characters in this book, maybe even more than half and am annoyed at the rest of the characters while also feeling sorry for them?
Finnic: honestly he seems like the only person in this story to actually have some kind of moral compass? I am really supper annoyed by how dirty he was done in this book but also exasperated by his naivety maybe? I hope he and Chloe will get together in the next book and wreck havoc
Chloe: this girl went through so much in her life and still stands strong, she was my favourite in the book and I really really hope she gets her happily ever after.
Leigh & Dante & Victor: yeah I want them all executed. Okay maybe Victor not yet cause he might still be redeemable, Everly and Dante though - never. I hope they get what they deserve in the next books.
All in all this book didn’t feel like a novella, it was only 170 pages but felt longer than Quicksilver that has 700 😂 there was always something happening and so many twists and spins and cliffhangers that I wasn’t even sure what the main plot actually was before the change 😂 I can’t even pinpoint if this book is a mystery, thriller or romance 😂 it definitely kept me on my toes.
I think the most confusing were the snippets from a year ago, 3 days ago, etc in between the main timeline, there where so many that I wasn’t sure anymore when now is at the end of this book 😆

This book was wild. I got to beta read this one for Kerrigan, and we had s blast going back and forth. she's such a sweet person.
I can't get into names or i feel like I'm be giving things away. so we'll just say two guys kidnap this woman with the intention of holding her hostage to find out where her father is hiding the money tat her father had hidden.
this has twists and turns. it's intense, and suspenseful. let's just say i DID NOT see that ending coming! my jaw got the floor. consider me mind blown 🤯
this was an absolutely amazing story. and I'm so thankful that not only did i get to read it, but got to beta it as well. it was a true joy ❤️

Loved this book from Kerrigan Shane. It was my first time reading from this Author but I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book of the trilogy. Short read of 177 pages. I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC copy and I’m leaving this review, with my own thoughts and opinions.
Finnics girlfriend is murdered in the most horrific way possible. This really impacts his life and changes everything, he sets out for revenge. After that he becomes part of the mob.
Dante and Everleigh have a plan. To test Finnics devotion to the mob and for him to prove himself. They fake a kidnapping. Everleigh (Leigh), pretends to be Chloe Amarni. Will Finnic fall for their plan? What is their plan?
The ‘real’ Chloe is also kidnapped by another team of the mob, Leigh’s brothers crew. What will they uncover to use for leverage to get their father’s money back?
Lots of twists and turns and deeper things happening that are revealed at the end of the book.

First off all I want to thank you, Kerrigan Shane, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is a first for me, a maffia romance.
The story is about Dante and Finnick, 2 guys who have to kidnap Chloë Armani, the daughter of a well known politician. And they do, or they think it's the real Chloë. But it's all a part of a setup...
I need to stay a bit mysterious about the story, and I won't spoil anything!
If I'm honest, this wasn't "dark" enough for me and some parts could be a bit longer though.
Honestly first I couldn't follow the pace with all those different POV's and flashbacks but when you get more to the ending of the book, you get it more and more... like those pieces of a puzzle you connect to see the picture as a whole puzzle.
So for me it's a 3 star rating. It was well written and the story overall is not bad. But I don't know if it is something I like at the moment.

I absolutely loved this book and needed more....its well written and the story is amazing whether you love reading it you need a last min read to meet your goal this is it ...I cant wait to see what she has next. I could read this again...you dont have to wait chapters for it to pull you in like others is starts from the beginning and it definitely keeps you there this was a nail biter and you dont see what is coming

This book has so many twists and turns that it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I loved every second of it! There is a bit of romance. There are several POVs. It’s completely worth the read and I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future! 😊🖤

So yesterday I received an ARC for Behind Their Eyes by Kerrigan Shane! I couldn’t put this book down! It is a short read for those who like the shorter stories. This is book 1 of a trilogy. So on that note keep in mind it will end in a cliff hanger. Behind Their Eyes is a contemporary dark romance. Make sure you check your trigger warnings as well.
Behind Their Eyes Starts off with Dante and Finnic sitting outside a bar waiting for a girl named Chloe to leave. After they see Chloe walk out and get in her car they take off after her to kidnap her. They need information on where her father hid the money he stole. Little does Finnic know he is also being tested to prove his loyalty to their boss, but he also doesn’t know that they actually don’t have Chloe, but they have Dante’s girl Everleigh. You will have to read the book to find out all the twist and turns in this story because there is much more to the story!!

I am astonished to know this is Kerrigans debut. Never have I ever had to stop, take a minute and then go back to reread to make sure I understood what was going on.

Finnic absolutely wrecked me. He’s so sweet, drowning in guilt, and I genuinely felt bad for him the entire time. Every decision he makes feels heavy, like he’s constantly punishing himself, and it made him painfully human. I just wanted to reach into the pages and shake him (and maybe hug him).
The plot twists though excuse me? My jaw actually dropped. I was confused at first, trying to piece things together, and then suddenly it all snapped into place and I was just sitting there like WHAT?! Everything I thought I understood flipped on its head. And usually I can predict all the plots, but this one I truly couldn’t see it!

The first chapter immediately drew me in, and the character dynamics kept me invested throughout. For a debut, quick-read novel, this was a strong start. I did find myself wishing for a bit more "darkness" in certain chapters—especially given that it’s a mafia story—but that’s simply my personal preference. The twists toward the end left me wanting more, and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book to see how the story unfolds.

This book pulls you in from the start. It does come across as a bit confusing but once you know all the information, it is very enjoyable. The storyline is well written and is a short book with short chapters for those who find enjoyment there. It is the first book in a trilogy so does end on a cliffhanger - leaves you wanting more but doesn't make you need the book right after which I prefer. Overall a good read.

Firstly, I loved how Shane was able to create that intrigue early on in the book. She gave us enough information to understand what was happening, but still left enough to keep us hanging on, needing to know the answers.
Secondly, those twists?! Man, just when I thought I'd figured it out, something unexpected came and smacked me in the face.

I had the opportunity to receive this book as an ARC. I have never read anything by this author so I did not have any expectations. It starts off pretty quickly, getting to the point right away. It does have multiple twists and turns and it definitely did not end how I expected it too. Its a short read but its not bad. If you want something quick paced and overall just a good story. This is a good book to pick up. I probably would not pick it up again to re read which is why I only rated 3 starts but it could be a higher rated book for someone else! The ending leaves some questions but leaves it open for a promising book 2.

Wowwww!! Just Wowwww!! Kudos Kerrigan on an amazing job! I ate this book up! The twist had me like WTH! The character development with the secrets and an immense plot twist right from the beginning had me wanting more and more! Behind Their Eyes is a definite page turner and that cliffhanger OMG leaves you begging and craving more!! Can’t wait for the next one!! A must read!! 💯
