Batcat: Seeing Stars!

Rate this book
Batcat is back in this heartfelt exploration of love and family in the latest installment of Meggie Ramm’s critically acclaimed early-reader graphic novel series!

Once a year, a star falls on Spooky Isle. But this is no ordinary star, it’s a wishing star, and will grant the wish of one lucky island resident. Batcat has been looking forward to this day all year, but when it becomes clear that their wish isn’t going to come true, they become quiet, withdrawn, and oh-so . . . blue. Literally.

Al the Ghost will do anything to help their friend—after all, Batcat has always had Al’s back, now Al can return the favor! With an uplifting message about supporting our friends and loved ones, Star Search has all the heart and hilarity that are Meggie Ramm’s trademarks in the marvelous world of Batcat.

I would recommend this to anyone (especially a child) that has lost a loved one. It's amazing the way it shows that you can still be with your loved ones even when they are no longer physically with you. It also introduces concepts like depression to kids that could help them see it in their own friends and take steps to help them like Al did for Batcat. This series has gotten better with every book and I love that each one teaches kids a different way to deal with their emotions.
